join me, a 45 year-old vegan mother , as we navigate the path to weight loss. I've spent most of my life grappling with extra pounds. Over the past three years, I've shed 40 pounds by adopting a vegan diet. However, after transitioning away from this regimen, I've found maintaining weight loss challenging. I am still working my way through this weightloss journey through the ups and downs. I have tried everything and I am sharing my experience along the way!

Just like eating fruit all day and being obsessed about eating raw until a certain time lol Look at Freelee she had many issues and looks starved! So keep following her boring R24 lifestyle and smash the carbs!!

hey Nic, good seeing u , Just to say, that, i still think of food, all the time, they are calling it Food Noise ! I love food too, & the processed foods taste SOOO gooood, the less i eat of them , the less i want of them. Last town day, i didn't think of the vegan ice cream, until on the way home. And then, i asked Rich for cucumbers & tomatoes for a treat. Each of us are different , so each have to do what works for us. I know i have said b4, i got a sugar low, the time i tried OMAD, only made it to 21 hrs. Maybe someone new might read this , hence repeating. By ADF, theoretically you are calorie restricting / in a calorific deficit, that's why you are losing weight. Just a different approach to eating the same amount of calories per day to lose weight. I get why you have chosen ADF. Best of luck.

dont listen to them, reminds me of all the BS at work, "oh no way I could go without lunch or meat", stupid and that's the best way to get me fired up quick is preach that BS to me. I agree though, 1500 cals a day restriction spread over multiple meals is the definition of torture.

Freele’s Raw Till 4 is what worked for me. Fruit is a natural fat burner. The weight came off rapidly.
Nice 😊 I didn’t have luck with that way of eating. Just gained weight and didn’t enjoy the food.

those are some good results, interested to see how it trends. I like your honesty in why you let yourself go over the last year, most people try make some excuse to justify it. I am doing OMAD and not seeing results like yours so I guess my body is so stubborn it still doesn't even like the amount of calories I am putting in for that 1 meal which I must say I find deeply upsetting since it is still controlled and clean food.. I might consider ADF but I think it would have to be 1 meal every 2 days type thing. I find it easier for me to stuff myself in 1 meal than it is to eat more frequently which seems to trigger off bad habits of over consuming.
Thank you for your nice comment. I really struggled with OMAD as I can easily go crazy within the one meal and then you have to wait again for another day to eat. I hope you manage to work it out. You could try 2 ADF days and mix it up with OMAD. Keep on keeping on & thank you again for your support. 🎉☺️

You're doing great! But don't forget to take it slow, changing the calories you eat can really mess up your body, don't be afraid to treat yourself to snacks from time to time, of course, with moderation. You are doing great every step you complete! Always take care of yourself despite what people think!

AF needs to be on done raw food, mainly organs to work. Vegan on fruit might work, with maybe a steak for dinner thrown in. This, won't last 3 weeks.

Your food looks amazing! And yes, I too get hungry shortly after eating oats. The ice cream looks yummy. The great thing about ADF is you can enjoy those treats and still be dropping the weight! Win win!! 🙌

Hey, i know u may have heard this before.. but i feel like i was in the similiar boat as you struggling with my weight for years, even on a vegan diet. I couldnt sustain one food only diets, or fasting, or moderation. Specially moderation, i cant do that for very long. This fasting days seem too mentally hard and kinda miserable. What works best if i follow to a T is daily cardio, intensity throughout the week-nothing crazy but consistent. I stick to bananagirl rt4 approach, fruit/smoothie for breaky and lunch or sometimes starchy lunch and same with dinner. Eat to appetite, have sugar to satiate, but not cramming in food like it is my last ever meal. Avoiding fatty foods as much as possible but it isnt a deal breaker to have avo/coconut every once in a while. Carbohydrates r the brains fuel, the brain will do anything to eventually make up for it.
Thanks for the support. I tried the banana diet and I gained weight. I also missed the fat. That seemed more miserable to me so fasting seems an easy trade off so I can have my cake and eat it 🙌☺️

@WeightlossfactswithEJ each to their own. I honestly believe it comes down to CICO regardless of what you eat. I would rather eat foods I enjoy and fast so my body can heal. Not saying I won’t eat a lot of fruits and veggies but at least I can be flexible. I never lost weight doing DR and Freelee diet in fact I think it made me binge more because of how restrictive it was. I couldn’t even have oat milk in my coffee! Anyway good for you for having great results and I know it can work for some 🙌😊
@ cico is not the way to live forever. If it were, why do so many dieters yoyo? The way to live is to become ur fittest and fuel accordingly. It isn’t each to their own, every human has the same mechanism. All the best ❤️ hugs

I used to do ADF and on a forum. There were some who made charts of their weight over the days and weeks. You yo-yo up and down so much on this plan it’s useful to see the weight actually ending up at a lower average. I didn’t stick to it more than six months. I found the weight loss was surprisingly slow considering the effort involved but I was on 350 calories on the ‘fasting’ days so you might do better. Ironically it was on that forum that I found reference to Joe Cross and his juice fasts and went to doing that. Lost more weight on weekly green juice fasts.
Very interesting and yes I’m going to weigh but not look as my scales go to my app. I did read that every ADF you can lose 2lbs and then you eat you gain 1lbs. I guess for me now is just sticking to the plan and I enjoy the feeling after a fast day and the health benefits. Yes, i have heard that too, "Nothing tastes, as good as, skinny feels" AND "Nothing tastes as good as, healthy feels" too. I am having to keep reminding myself of that these days too. I should never of tried vegan ice cream, the sugar aDDiction, is real !! Fighting with myself, in my head, every time we are in the grocery store parking lot. Well, i managed to NOT ask for it today, "One day at a time" . Again, i cannot do OMAD or ADF , get sugar lows, & pains in belly only food will stop, even healthy food. Hey Nic! It’s so nice to hear from you! I am struggling too, it is what is it. ADF was working for you, your 2 weeks before after pictures were showing great results! Not eating for a day is seems very hard for me. When I was eating in caloric deficit it worked for me but took so long. But once the over weight gone and it on maintenance is so nice.

Maybe you need time away from diets? Just stop thinking about your weight for a year. Obsess over exercise and other interests. I find as women usually do the cooking we learn to become all about food either as provider or controlling it to be thin. When food is always on your mind it’s hard not to overeat. For me the easiest way is to be busy and out of the house a lot. I have a ‘naturally skinny’ friend and she just doesn’t eat as much as me. Same food, small portions and she sometimes skips meals because she is so focused on other things.

OMAD is hard Nic .. I couldn’t do it. I try to stick to 16/8 most days. In the 8 hour window, I just try to eat unprocessed whole foods with plenty of protein. I’ve still got lots of weight to lose! It can be hard at times to keep on track, especially if you’re feeling unwell. X

why dont you try get on big pharma like ozempic et al, im serious why not it will change your life, havent you already put yourself through enough? nothing else is working for you and you've tried your best why suffer any longer ? these drugs make you not a slave to food, plenty of youtubers saying this about it. Anyway I am at a loss myself and my next step is seeing a doctor for my options here because ive had a gut full of dealing with food issues my whole life even if we aren't chronically obese it still impacts the same mental health issues. Ive done OMAD too, it did nothing. Not eating for entire days would be about the only thing that could potentially work for me but hell what a miserable bloody existence having to live through those days craving food. These new drugs stop the mental torture aspect of it all so it is actually possible to not have food consume your thoughts which is how I think of it.
Yeah I would rather be over weight than take those drugs that have serious side effects. I cannot take drugs my body is way too sensitive. Anyway each to their own and not knocking anyone who goes down the drug route but it isn’t me. I’ll keep plodding along hopefully get in the right mind space. I have done it before so hope to get back there! It’s certainly a challenge ☺️
