@@Lucius6666-u2w not really. The gx114 is just work. I have tried tamiya acrylic xf-86 and mr.hobby lacquer 182 but they dont work. If i know other paint that work i will try them too

​@Armstudiogunplaspeedbuild Hey, if you don't mind my asking how do you thin your lacquer paints before using them on a clear piece (using paint brushes) and what type of thinner do you use? I'm planning on buying some of the mr color you use in your videos to paint the eyes but I have no clue how to properly use them or the ratio.

@@Lucius6666-u2w it is lacquer paint so use lacquer thinner. if you wanna use paint brush for the eyes, you dont need to thin the paint. unless the paint is too thick, you can add a drop of thinner.

@@Lucius6666-u2w spray to cover the part. It can be 2-3times depend on how big the part is. I would call this 1 layer. So do 2-3 layers for each part/section. Some part need to spray separately and some can spary after assembling. Make sure all hidden area that may reveal later are coated. Normally panel line>decals>topcoat unless you paint too flat paint on the part. In this case you need gloss topcoat before do panel line

yeah i have many RG 00 in my backlog. i like to cut small piece of masking tape and keep add it to the part. sometime i put masking tape on, draw the line, take it out and cut it on cutting mat then put it back. i dont like to cut masking tape on the part becuz it may scratch the paint accidentally

it is clear color paint. I use tamiya or mr.hobby. Tamiya is acrylic paint. mr.hobby is lacquer paint. you can use either of them. just dont use enamel paint becuz we will use it to paint black over the eyes and do reverse wash.

@@ezzat1345 yes, it is solid kit. But since it is transformable, i think it has weird proportion compared to other 4 kits.

normally stickers first then topcoat. never topcoat on clear part, it will look very bad. for shiny sticker just put it after topcoat.

I only repainted the black parts so topcoat make other parts become same shade. Waterslide decals also need topcoat to seal them otherwise they will easily fall off. For decals, it depends on where do you live. I only can recommend brand EVO or artisan club.

@@StringKiller after painting metallic(some of them are acrylic and enamel), i apply topcoat with lacquer paint first then do panel line. Then flat topcoat again. Yes i apply flat topcoat on every metallic paints except gold.

@Armstudiogunplaspeedbuild thanks for these tips! I'll experiment around - I'm able to topcoat outside with spray cans but I don't have an airbrush so I'll experiment on clear finished that can be applied with a brush for small golden details. Thanks again!

@@StringKiller if you don't have airbrush, I recommend using spray cans for topcoat.

​@@Armstudiogunplaspeedbuild I plan to use Mr Hobby Premium flat cans, but I was wondering what to do with metals. I don't know if masking a whole piece just to change the topcoat of a small detail is really worth it XD. I'm trying to just use acrylics so it is a bit challenging since many folks use enamel paints at some point.

@@fbnlvrs the ink is tamiya panel line accent. It is thin enamel paint. Use enamel thinner to clean up excess. Then apply flat top coat.
