- P-Bandai MG 1/100 ALTRON GUNDAM Speed build Review
Quick build MG Altron gundam aka Nataku gundam from Wing gundam series. I did some detail paint, panel line, water slide decal and applied flat top coat.
#Mastergrade #Altron #Armstudio
Matting out everything and panel lining is taking these to the next level. The other kit channels final product look like it's missing something
Just found your channel, very nice build. Going through the comments and you are extremely helpful and responsive to the guys asking questions. Subscribed, looking forward to seeing your other builds.
Thank man
thanks for the content… youre an inspiration… a clean and simple build. more power!
Thank you man
This is so gorgeously build!
thx u
Looks like you upgraded to MG
And I just watched the old wing commercials then this popped up
Yeah, Actually I have 5 of them and I've kept them for more than 3 years. It's time to build So, I start with my favorite Altron gundam.
That is ridiculously clean.
Great video! Curious, since you're using the Tamiya panel liners. Do you top coat first? Or are you just being super careful to not get any excess on the inner frame?
Also totally subscribed! Love these videos so far!
I just straight panel line without topcoat first. Yes, being careful on assembled part because i dont want the ink stuck in seam line. The part could break. If i feel risky, i will just panel line before assemble.
Thank for subscribing bro
@@Armstudiogunplaspeedbuild ah ok, just curious because I've broken some parts that way but your builds look awesome!
Thanks for the reply too!
@@Armstudiogunplaspeedbuild super curious cuz I'm new to gunpla, but would a gundam panel line marker also break a kit??
@@biohybrid_396 Gundam marker wont break a kit
Another star masterpiece!👍
Thank you
Gundam Nataku ( Altron ) ther are most lovely model for me... exactly I like oldest siries like Endless Walse for a long time ..and your work so clean & cool more than me...cause have you'r professional but I'm not .....
Im not professional and I think you can do this too man.
This was a fun kit. I have to say though. When trying to make a scene with it fighting wing zero…it doesn’t work. At least since my WZ is a ver ka. This kit doesn’t seem like a true 1/100. It’s like a 1/120. The detail is amazing. It was a fun build…but..damn why is a different scale?
Wing zero ver.ka came after other 4kits. It is kind of mg2.0. I think it is the one that way too big even compared to the first mg wing zero itself
This video is very good I like it
Thanks man
Hi, new to gunpla building here! What you did was just some touch up painting and decals, followed by top coat only?
Basically yes
@@Armstudiogunplaspeedbuild alright thanks!
this is cool build!!
i am trying to build this gundam too. and i want to copy what you are doing...
what's that black wet like brush that you use to draw lines? what's it called and how much is that? also what top coat did you use?
sorry for many questions haha
It's called Tamiya panel line accent color. It is about $5-6. It is basically enamel paint so, you will need tamiya x-20 enamel thinner to clean up excess as well. for topcoat, I use Tamiya TS-80 flat clear.
@@Armstudiogunplaspeedbuild thanks~ ... i'll try those hahaha
Do you apply the thinner onto the q tip to get rid of the excess amount of accent color you put on?
@@jamestaylor1442 Yes apply enamel thinner
amazing! what topcoat did you use? tia
I used Tamiya TS-80.
Did you colored this matt green? or as is from the box? If you did colored this in matt green can you provide me the exact brand name and color please? thank you I'm currently assembling this kit right now.
I didn't repaint green and this isn't from the box. I just applied Tamiya TS-80 flat topcoat on it.
HI sir, May I ask what color gray you used on the Dragon Fang part? thank you. Also, sir, do you have other social media accounts where you post your build? I'm new to Gunpla hobby and following all your videos on how yoy build and Paint specially the Wing series.
I use tamiya german grey. I have instagram. I put a link in about.
What kinds of paint did you use? They came out amazing
I used Tamiya TS-80 flat clear. It is lacquer paint.
Its maybe too late, but where does the part E 16 and E 17 goes? I have no idea where to put that parts, even manual book didnt mentioned those parts
Those parts for Shenlong gundam shield. They use same mold so, there will be some parts left over.
Did u apply a coat before putting the decals?
@@aledeegjey_5371 No, i didnt. Just applied topcoat after putting decals
Awesome video, wonderful kit but I’ve been wondering, is it worth it? For the looks it seems worth the price but currently is at $123-$112 so what do you think?
This kit should be around $85-90. But if you like it, just go for it man. Nothing can stop us.
@@Armstudiogunplaspeedbuild "We're all the way up!" Thanks man, means a lot.
Hi Sir, Nice build! what Red color or paint did you use to hide the knob marks on the dragon parts? I already bought this kit and want to imitate your building and coloring procedure. also on using the Tamiya accent color panel line, can we also use the regular alcohol to remove the excess ink? thank you so much for your videos!
The red is mr.hobby 3 red mixing with some drop of black. I dont think you can use regular alcohol to remove it. You can use enamel thinner or lighter fluid.
@@Armstudiogunplaspeedbuild thank you so much! I look forward watching for MG talgeese I,II and III soon! More subscribers to your channel!!!!!
hi, almost forgot to ask, what brand of black ink did you use for mixing with, red. Thanks!
@@anthonymanayao same with the red mr.hobby
only 1 can of flat clear can cover the whole 1 kit or more?
1 can is not enough for smooth paint. Probably around 2-3 cans
No dynamic poses? Almost peak video.
Sorry for that. I worry about scratching the paint.
What paint do you typically use for the eyes?
I use acrylic or lacquer paint for clear colors. Then paint black enamel over it. Then use enamel thinner remove black paint on the eyes.
@@Armstudiogunplaspeedbuild Do you use Tamiya XF1 for the black enamel? Actually, would it be possible to include specific products needed to replicate something like this with the eyes. Thank you I'm new to gunpla and I'm going to do all 5 of these kits and want to make them look good.
@@felixezra16 Yes exactly Tamiya XF-1
sir May I ask for your advice, is there a pros and cons for not Applying decals on me Gundam Wing Kits?
It is hard to answer. I prefer applying decals. Applying decals, especially water slide decal, also need topcoats on it. That means more cost. I think it doesn’t matter. Just do whatever you happy with.
@@Armstudiogunplaspeedbuild thank you so much
Panel line is Tamiya brand?
Yes
may i ask if after painting like a tamiya spray , then i would panel line it, will it destroy the paint? havent tried panel lining using accent lining, just pens and markers…
Tamiya spray is lacquer base paint. Panel line accent is enamel base paint. After panel lining, you need enamel thinner to clean up excess. The spray paint wont be removed because they are different base paint.
Did the waterslide decals came with the kit?
yes, this kit came with waterslide decals.
@@Armstudiogunplaspeedbuild sweet! 👌
Wait cant the mg one transform into the dragon form?
Which grade can transform to dragon form?
hi, its me again.
can you please let me know your setup when your top coating your gunpla?
I use the canned ones and there are so many ways why my kit is frosting but cant seem to find the right answer.
What i do is warm my canned top coat and i go outside because its cold in my room.
even if its hot, i still have frosting on my kit so i'm confused as to which is the correct reason.
When i tried it when its too cold its frosting but when i go out its still frosting.
Please give me some tips on this since i'm building my altron as well and the shoulders that i just top coated has crazy frosting.
What topcoat did you use? Tamiya or mr.hobby?
@@Armstudiogunplaspeedbuild Mr. Hobby premium flat. The green one
@@marrionvictorcatolico3169 Ok That is a good one. Temperature effects paint but not that much. The most important is humidity. Humidity should be less than 50%. 30-40% will be perfect. If it really close to 50%, try to spray with thin layer and you also can use hair dryer blow it immediately after painting. it would help. For the kit that you get frosting. you can use thinner to clean it and repaint.
@@Armstudiogunplaspeedbuild what kind of thinner? I'm sorry for asking too much questions 😅
@@marrionvictorcatolico3169 mr.hobby premium flat is water based so you can use tamiya acrylic thinner. If it doesn’t clean, you can use mr.hobby lacquer thinner. Lacquer thinner is stronger. Dont soak the part in thinner, just drop thinner on cloth and wipe the part.
What color grey did you use for the back skirts on the waist? And do you have any alternatives for the enamel thinner?
I used Tamiya TS-4 German gray spray can for back skirts. It can be lighter fluid for clean up excess but im not sure it good for mixing or not.
@@Armstudiogunplaspeedbuild I was only needing it so I can clean up the excess mess from the panel liner cause I can't get ahold of any tamiya enamel thinner
@@jamestaylor1442 I've heard of people using Zippo lighter fluid to remove the excess panel liner. From what I've heard it works just as well to the point that newtype even sells it now.
Which top coat brand are you using?
Tamiya ts-80
