sorry your vocal is not clear due to room reverb
What do you guys think of fire safety in regards to having something like this indoors? Would a smoke detector drilled to the ceiling of the box/cabinet work sufficiently?
I only let it run for about an hour. Once the screens are dry I turn everything off.
I'm thinking about making a drying box for my emulsion coated screens. Do you have the dimensions of your drying box?

Tu ayuda es muy valiosa. Gracias.
Muchas gracias.
Man i can you help me out? I getting scum( shiny thing in the design) whenever i wash out my screen.. it's look clear that time but after drying i notice this shiny part that actually can block the ink.... please help me
Yes, when you finish washing out the image you can use an air compressor to blow all of the water away from the image so the scum doesnt drip into the washed out area. I have a bit of room and wash out near the outdoors so I just walk outside and shake excess water off. Either way if you do have some scum you can also use a little screen opener to get rid of the scum. Good luck!
Over exposed is an over used terminology! Stop using crap film positives! So many leaning towards under exposing due to that and no vacuum unit. Once crosslinking in emulsion has been achieved, that's it, it's done. Some may post expose but will never gain more than 10% extra durability. I've power washed out thousands of screens, many of which were tones.
That was... helpful?
For anyone trying to do this. Don't get the big bottle of glue . It will dry out before you can use it. I get 2oz bottles they do 4 screens. Also get the airisol activator it's way better than the pump spray. Use an angle grinder to clean the frame. Make sure you wipe it with rubbing alcohol before gluing.
Good tip thanks for contributing!
What type of felt do you recommend
I put a link to the felt I used in the description.
Thank you I made mine, was great love it. You saved me couple of hundred dollars thank you
Glad I could help
Amazing 🔥
Glad you like it!
anyone have any idea why when i go to wash out my screen after exposing. the image that wasn’t burned becomes bubbly in a way and i end up having to peel my image instead of it washing out nicely
Either it is under exposed, or more likely, your screen needs to be degreased better before coating it. After reclaiming, it is very important to use a degreaser so your new emulsion sticks to the screen properly. Good luck!
You should not spray it out from the print side. Just get some water on the ink side than spray from the shirt side.
I built a screen stretcher based on your ideas. I just finished it yesterday and am loving the results.😀 One variation on mine is a lazy Susan mount, which makes using it very easy.
Glad to hear it was helpful!
Whats a lazy suzie mount ?
hi my friend could u nake a video about the printer setting to get a daeker quality film positive with the PIIXMA IX6820
Nice!
Thanks!, hope it works well for you!
I'm building a similar setup with almost the exact same pump and filter housing. If you don't mind me asking, how low do the filters that you're using go in microns? I haven't tested my setup yet but I was hoping for a little cleaner water than you have at the last step ideally, I currently have 20 into 5 micron.
Thats what mine are as well. The small filter is 5 microns.
Thanks for this information. I like the idea of pushing the frame instead of pulling the mesh.
Thanks for watching. This was in my first few attempts, I have gotten more efficient and it really does work well. Check out this for a little more info. ua-cam.com/video/X6SX5PPpFVM/v-deo.html
Nice desing, I'gonna try that, Greetings from Oaxaca México.
Thanks for watching. Hope it works well for you!
I just did a screen and as soon as I washed it everything came off. That means it’s under exposed right ?
Yes, if everything washed out it severely under exposed. How long did you expose for?
@@screenprintingonabudget92081 minute 5 seconds. I’m thinking maybe the screens weren’t dried enough cause it was only drying for like 5 hrs
@@freshbox6228 5 hours should be fine for drying unless its really cold or humid. Double your exposure time and see what happens. What sort of exposure unit are you using?
@@screenprintingonabudget9208I’m using ryonet aluminum uv screen exposure unit. I bought it from someone and they actually have a chart for the times for each mesh count but even with that I still can’t get it . They used chromablue and I’m using ecotex so I actually went on and ordered chromablue maybe that will help
Simple but very nice very great
Thanks a lot 😊
How fast do the Fans Spin? Do they run the Full 12v ?
Im honestly not sure.
I currently have the issue that my humidity wont drop below 50%, i have the same dehumidifier and 1 fan blows air in on one side while the other blows air out on the other side. They turn the same speed and I have a Voltage Regulator so I can change how fast they should run. I am not sure if the speed has something to do with the humidity not dropping below 50@@screenprintingonabudget9208
this is so helpful. thank you. as far as glue goes. you should get the “thin” version of superglue. and also get the accelerator that goes with it. then you will have instant cure of your glue.
Thanks for the idea. That is in fact what I am currently using. I have posted an update to my channel. Thanks for the tip and thanks for watching!
Great idea! Thanks for sharing!
Hope it was helpful, thanks for watching.
what did you use to cut the ibc cage
I used a simple reciprocating saw like this. amzn.to/3URVZ3Z
Nice job. It's a very simple setup jig but very effective! Thanks for sharing it. I have to try that on my next project! Cheers!
Thanks 👍
Nice great idea i will build this one too hope it works for me just like it did to you thank you for this brilliant idea
Good luck!
Looking good! Excellent build!
Thanks for checking this out. Good luck on your screen printing journey!
Thank you very much my friend Superstar
Thanks for checking this out. Good luck on your screen printing journey!
thx for this i have the exact same issue
Thanks for checking this out. Good luck on your screen printing journey!
I built one of your stretchers and it works great. I do use contact cement instead of the glue you use. I also will try stretching the first two sides instead of hand tightened but haven't done this yet. Thanks a bunch. Great design.
I'm so glad to finally hear from someone who built one. Please let me know if you have any other tips that might help me improve my design. Happy printing!
You are amazing my friend. Truly incredible and especially for someone whose native language is not English. a thumbs up and one more subscription. Patrick
Thanks so much for the kind words. Hope it was helpful...
Tension meters for tuning drums seem to be the same as screen printing newton meters but only cost around $100
I’ve never heard that. I might look into it. Thanks
thank you for your video. I'm just starting my way on screenprinting and when I ask an experts in my area about it, it all seems so damed difficult... but watching your video I started to believe that I can do it.
Glad it helped. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have!
Thanks for the video! I just started getting into screen printing & this helps a lot!
Glad it was helpful!
Hi! why did you coated the inside twice?
I only did the inside once. I do the shirt side twice to create a slightly thicker emulsion layer and it creates a very small "well" for ink to sit in on your print pass.
Good job
Thanks
Ooops that comment was for the guy who shared this on Reddit lol…. You use glass, not sure he does… I’ll leave original post to show that I’m computer illiterate at times LOL
Haha no worries, hope the video helped.
Have you tried putting a piece of glass over the film to make sure no light gets under the film and ruins your halftones?
Yes, I use a cover made from plexiglass, same idea.
hi, is it important to have a separated space inside a cabinet for Dehumidifier?
I don't think a separate area is necessary, I have seen the dehumidifiers behind or underneath the cabinet as well.
Howlong can we use coating emulsion?if use frequently, any coating changed?(bcoz if open for a while it may gets diluted ah?
Depends on the type you use. The last gallon I had lasted me aver a year with no problems until it ran out.
Excelente buen video
Muchas Gracias!

كيف يمكنني الحصول على العرض
Links in description...
what is the exposing time for this method. especially yours?
65 Seconds.
What is the yellow bulb for exactly?
Good question! The yellow bulb does not activate your emulsion. So you can position your image without rushing or worrying about ruining your image. Once the image is placed correctly the UV light is used to burn your image into the screen. Let me know if you have any other questions!

did you ever find a glue adhesive alternative?
