Oh my gosh this video brought back some great memories of my travel to Alaska on the ovation and toured around Sitka Alaska. Did you happen to see this little food truck across the street from the area you were shopping they had the best black cod over rice. And also, we walked up to the totem pole park, I think that’s what you call it which was pretty amazing. I can’t wait to get back there. Thanks for sharing.

Ok... don't tell me anything specific, but did you like "Dial A for Aunties"? I just started reading Jesse Sutanto. In fact, I literally just finished reading my first book of hers called "Vera Wong's Unsolicited Advice for Murderers" and REALLY liked it a lot. I had a feeling I knew who the killer was early on (I was right) but didn't figure out the WHY until later. I like cozy mysteries and enjoy her writing style a lot. I'm getting ready to start Dial A for Aunties. I also have her other ones (on loan from the library) so I'm trying to decide if I should read the "Dial A for Aunties" series, or her latest book first. I'm writing my first novel and reading her work has helped me to relax after writing some of the difficult topics I discuss within my own writing. I really like your cruise vlogs, and so glad you're keeping it "real" as an introvert. I'm an introvert too, and it's so great to see someone NOT having to be an extrovert on camera (yet STILL having a great time ALL ALONE)! Fantastic job!

That hotel looks real nice. I love boutique hotels! I'm not sure if you told us the name of the donut shop, but I would love to know so when I do finally visit Seattle, I can try one of those red velvet donuts and that beautiful-looking Pink Feather Boa donut. I'm excited to watch this video series. I've never been to Alaska OR cruised before but I'm gearing up for my first cruise on Princess next year. I think I would enjoy cruising to Alaska too. My cruise will go to the Bahamas, St. Thomas, and Puerto Rico on the "newish" Sun Princess. Very excited! *I'm a solo traveler as well.*

Quantum class? Yes, agreed. I was on Odyssey a couple of years ago and found it crowded, especially the buffet. Great ship, though. Enjoyed your content. 🙂

I’m cruising solo on Ovation this September. My first solo trip for my 60th birthday. 🎉

I also wipe down the cabin first thing, but I expect it to still be 'clean' beforehand. I would of lost it with the hand/fingerprints on the window, plus all of the other crud and dust you wiped up. I would have called to have it cleaned.

We just take Brilliance of the sea cruise last May also Alaska cruise but I like the ship travel to inside passage too many things to see

as far as the ships sailing alaska goes, i really like the royal caribbean ships but unfortunately they don’t go to glacier bay and as someone whose never been on an alaskan cruise yet, do you think that matters enough to not pick RC as a first time (and potentially only) alaskan cruise?
