Thanks so much! it was a different set up (flexible silver pipe between 2 black valves). But it gave me the confidence to check the manual and do it myself. Thanks!

Check the Propshaft Donut coupling joint which if faulty or riddled with cracks will cause the same issue, mine juddered badly in first and reverse, my mechanic checked mine and it was full of cracks in the rubber, changed it and it drives as new with zero judder.

The black valve on my boiler is horizontal but I can’t move it. The little “flame” comes on for about 10 seconds and then disappears. DHW is fine and the temperature on both DHW and CH is turned up but still no heating at all. Any thoughts?

Thanks for this, interstingly, that tap is vertical… boiler has hot water but no heating arghh Upon first switch on a week ago it heated and then gone. Drained water from rads then topped up it started and in 10s switched off again. Any ideas
