How To Tell If Car Battery Is Bad? | Car Battery Charger Review
How To Tell If Car Battery Is Bad? | Car Battery Charger Review
Leicestercn Battery Repair Charger - Buy it here:
amzn.to/3lpJnfT
How to tell if a car battery is bad? Josh here, and I’m going to show you exactly how to tell and also provide a car battery charger review at the same time. I’m giving this review because I’m excited about this car battery charger for several reasons which I will share with you.
This battery charger has a ton of charging capabilities as well as a repair function. I’m always receiving questions from my followers about battery chargers and the proper equipment to use so I’m here to answer those questions.
Recently, I received a question asking if it was possible to repair a damaged car battery? The short answer is yes, it is if the battery is not too far gone, and you have the proper equipment.
When I unboxed the Leicestercn car battery charger, it came very nicely packed with the cables all wound up and twist-tied.
Car Battery Charger Review -
The first thing I noticed was its size, small and compact. Most of the car chargers in the marketplace tend to be bigger and bulkier so I appreciate that it is smaller. It has just one button which makes it quite simple to use.
The Leicestercn car charger comes with two different cable choices. You have the heavy-duty clamps with 6-8 ft. of cable. The clamps feel sturdy enough where I know they will last and not break which has been an issue with other car chargers.
The second set of cables has the smaller eyelet connections for your smaller 6-volt batteries. This car battery charger will charge both 6-volt and 12-volt batteries.
The examples I show in this video uses both a good car battery and a bad one. This is to demonstrate a few of the key features that this product offers. The charger plugs into any wall outlet.
This product comes with an internal fan which is fantastic as it keeps the charger cool while it is working. I put the clamps on the good battery and it immediately illuminated and showed an icon at the top showing it is a 12-volt. If I had the clamps on a 6-volt battery, then it would have illuminated “6-volt”.
There is also a charging icon in the left-hand corner which shows you the progress of the charge. This icon is a great feature, however, you don’t even need it as it will detect when the battery is fully charged and shut itself off.
The standout feature on this unit is the fact that it will shut itself off once the battery is fully charged without toasting the battery. So, you can set it and forget it.
Some additional features highlight its built-in protection which prevents the following:
- Over-current
- Over charge
- Over heating
- Reverse connection
Repairing A Bad Battery -
This tool will automatically detect and let you know if it can repair a bad battery or not. The example I show in the video is with a bad battery. Now, I know this battery is toast and can’t be repaired. I show you the icon on the tool showing you this. So, no wasted time on your part!
Now, if the car battery could be repaired, the tool would detect it and flash a screwdriver and wrench icon letting you know. I have done repairs on several bad batteries using this tool. All you do when it tells you it can repair it is hold the mode button down for 3 seconds and it will begin the car battery repair process and recharge it and shut off when it is complete.
In conclusion, if you are looking for a battery charger it might be a good idea to select one that has repair capabilities built-in. The Leicestercn car battery charger has that feature and many more. It is high functioning, easy to use, and packed with a ton of features and at only $29, it has serious value packed in!
I hope you enjoyed me showing you how to tell if a car battery is bad as well as this car battery charger review. You can buy this product on Amazon; I posted a link for you at the top of this description.

Fixing a broken fitting or line connection on a fuel pump, evap canister, DEF pump, coolant reservoir, etc.... is often a hit or miss process. Many people will slab as much epoxy on as possible, cross the old fingers and hope it holds. But more times than none that never works! Especially if that fitting has a pressure within it. Such as in a fuel pump application. You need to add reinforcement...

Question: My schumacher basic microprocessor charger instruction book, indicates, for charging OFF the vehicle, you should attach a " 24 inch long, 6 gauge, insulated battery cable" to the negative post, & connect the negative clamp of the charger to that. I was trying to figure out EXACTLY what this setup would look like, so I was hoping your video would explain. I'm wondering if I can get by with using my jumper cables: attach the negative clamp of the jumper cable onto the negative battery post, & then clamp the negative charger clamp to the other end of the negative jumper cable. It seems there should be no reason this can't be done. Or just clamping the charger negative right directly onto the agm battery is okay? (The reason the booklet gives: a spark near the battery may cause an explosion. Using an intervening battery cable is a safeguard).

My 7-year-old battery has been reading just over 12V after the battery light went on the other day - but the alternator is only putting out about 11.8V. Slow-charging the battery got it to 12.23V at 80%. While I work on that crazy-tight lower alternator bolt tomorrow, I'll have the charger on to see if it reaches 100%. But 7 years - that's Costco for ya.

Hello, I’ve bought a new battery, I installed it in the car and drove right away with it. My dash still indicate a red battery signal but everything is working properly. So did I do something wrong by not fully charged the battery before using it and if so can I still charge it the way you just explained? I know it’s an old video but I take a chance writing to you Thank you

On the starter relay 87 doesn't close 30 power is sent through 85 and 86 which energizes a coil that magnetically pulls 87 and 30 switch closed which allows power to go to the starter I'll explain ... 87 is constant power key on engine off and when you turn the ignition switch to start it sends power to 85 through 86 that energizes a coil that magnetically closes the switch between 87 and 30 then power is sent to the starter a relay is a switch that controls a bigger switch Just to clarify I'm Adam Jackson ASE certified technician on my wife's account just realized that LOL

Yeah man - really helpful thank you!! BUT i couldn't help noticing that fuel line looked like it needed to be replaced also! haha I just pulled similar looking hoses out of my motorcycle's gas tank. They were so hard the broke apart like glass. AND I've got one stuck on a plastic nipple that I need to reuse. I'm not sure how to get that old, VERY HARD plastic hose off of the nipple without breaking it. I might dremel cut it off but not entirely sure if that's the best way to do it.
