This is a Canner
What pressure cooker do you suggest for canning vegetables
Wow very impressive 🎉
🤗
Can’t wait to see where you go with this. Kudos.
Gonna be a Lot of work, but it's gonna be fun !
That “leaves” me speechless. Kudos.
😂
I feel like that helps the soil fertility too
I would agree. It decomposes into soil, reduces water evaporation, and attracts more worms. 🙂

Omg thank you 🥹
🤗
I usually use polybacks
I think they make those in similar sizes to Red Solo cups.
Solid tip!
🤗
Just used one on Sunday to plant my tomatoes and Poblanos! 😊
Nice !!
Would love to know where you get the buckets.
Where to get bucket
I stored fresh, organic, white, dried dent corn in 5 gallon buckets, with gamma lids and I just now had to throw 2 buckets away due to mold growth. I'd highly suggest using oxygen absorbers as that was likely they issue. Beware of mold growth in long-term storage. And I've only had that corn for like a year. It was so disappointing 😞.
Holy Smokes. 😲 Where did you keep the Buckets?
@@GregoryBoysHomestead inside the whole time. Yeah, it was a huge bummer bro
Thank you for this video! I just started prepping man and I got some buckets too. God bless man!
Right On! Do you know how to make a homemade version of Uncle Ben's Rice? (Chicken or Beef, or Cheesy?) I've been thinking about making a How To video.
I seen several videos on flour storage and most people freeze the flour (to kill any potential bugs) then store. And/Or they use a liner in the bucket before they pour flour into it.
I saw that some were asking about the gamma lids. Some Lowe's locations and tractor supply sells them.
Any question on this look up how to use a weighted regulator on pressure canner
If you throw enough money at a problem, it's bound to fix it sooner or later. Or,... You can just buy a decent product from the get-go.
Your gauge will never hit 10psi because you are using weights. They negate the gauge altogether. the weights are designed to let off pressure at 10psi. So canning with it you run it hot once the weights or a weight starts to dance back off on the heat until it vents the steam at a steady pace, not to fast not to slow. Once you have it dialed in you start your processing time. I found when one weight is dancing the other sits fairly still. As long as you have 10 psi or 70 Kpa weights not sure how many ounces mine are but mine are stamped on the top of the weights as 70 kpa
con 70 KPA DEBE DARTE 10,15 PSI. ,,,,CON 90 KPA 13 PSI ,,CON 100KPA 15 PSI. es el peso de la válvula quien te da los psi.
I have the same cooker and canned venison stew last year. I used 15 psi weights instead of the 10 psi (70 kpa) weights it came with because of my elevation. The stew came out great and remained shelf stable.
exacto, bien , las pesas son los que gradúan la presión interna de la olla ,estas ollas pueden dar fácilmente las 15 psi de presión que si sirven para envasar conservas. sin problemas
The trash cans work fine if you're storing indoors. We don't have that kinda space. Garage it is ... and we've found those don't seal tight enough to keep the bugs out. Do a good job for Rodents & 'Coon and such, but insects can crawl in around the lid. Look for 30 gallon blue barrels with either the clamp on lids (metal clamps only - the plastic always eventually break) or the screw down lids (be sure to inspect the gasket.) The 55 gal & 65 gal barrels are good, too, but get unbearably heavy and awkward if you have to move.
Das a lotta riiice
I learned how to make my Own uncle ben's rice from scratch. Chicken rice, Beef rice, Cheesy rice, and I learned how to make my own Mac-N-Cheese as well. 😅
Try growing green beans on another one.... then you won't have to go ALL the way around your fence lime to harvest them. Just a thought.
Hope you marked where each was so yoy know the difference and how they turn out.
Time saver, less mess and waste, a winner. Thank you both.
i spent like 80$ about a year ago making one of these bucket feeders.. this video can save you money!
This was great y’all video is awesome 🇺🇸🙏🙏🙏
250 might not have been the goal you were looking for, but it’s not to shabby. Congrats on the time saving equipment.
The comedic duo strikes again!!
Hola Gregory ,there is a way that you can give them water ,the same method that you just used to do the feeding of the chicken. they also have the same mechanism that is design for giving water to the chickens you can use a 20 gallon tank 40 or 50 gallon tank. They are called water nipples they have them from chickens they have them for pigs and it's the same process that you just did I hope and pray that this will help you take care and God bless you and your beloved Son may the Lord keep you safe
Thank you very much! I will look into that and hopefully make a video about it soon. 🤗
Greyson grinding the shells with his head! 😂 Love it..
He's a crazy man. 😅
New subscriber here. 😊👋 Great video Greyson! Just watched your flour storage video, was just the info I was looking for! Thank you! 😁
Nice setup! Thanks for teaching us this stuff, I'll have to do this next year. We only get 4-5 eggs a day, with 5 chickens - which I'm happy with, being in the city and all.
Thanks! 🙂 I just bought another property for the Homestead to move to and I very much look forward to posting videos of the building of that chicken coup and run.
Soooo, have you heard of pouring leftover beer in a pie plate near your plants? I know, what’s leftover beer, right? But the slugs like beer and crawl in the plate and drown. I’m sure you’ve heard about this before but thought I’d mention it to be sure. Thanks for another great informative video.
wow, that's a ton of slugs!
Greyson and I went slug hunting again last night and probably got about 70 more. It's super crazy. LOL
@@GregoryBoysHomestead That is insane!! WOW!!
Good to know. I had no idea.
🤗
Wasps also are Tomato Horn Worm's worst enemy. 🙂 And if you've ever found a Horn Worm, you know how much damage they can cause your garden.
@@GregoryBoysHomestead unfortunately I don’t garden, but watch your UA-cam channel n hopes of learning. I love tomato’s, but when I’ve tried to grow them 6 years at three different homes the same thing happened. When. Go to pick the beautiful tomatoes, the bottom half is rotten. I know it’s me. 😩
@@Rose-ef6ik Holy Smokes! That's really odd. I've never heard of a situation like that. I hope you find the time to try again. 🤗
Good stuff lol. I started 50 lettuce cups last week and now this week gotta start 400 more random things. I'm only in my 2nd year of growing stuff but I'm learning a lot
That's Awesome! I think it's So Cool to go out to my front yard and gather groceries for my breakfast, lunch, and dinner. 🤗
yeah man, show us how to make the "cattle cages" lol. I'm starting my 2nd year of learning to grow and real time tips and tricks are always awesome!!!
Will do. 🤗
lmao I thought I made that up
😅😅😅
Great video, I'm a new subscriber! 😀 BTW I also have a small gardening channel. 🌽🌶🥒🍆🍅
Nice to meet ya! I'll check out your channel. 😊
Awesome job, boys!
🤗
So the 32 qt pressure "canner" works just fine. I will sat the first couple uses it did have to turn the burner up higher then I had other Cannes, but once you put the weights on and pressure starts building if you put any oven mit on and barely move the weights it seals up great. Yes unfortunately its from china & thats not ideal. But it works great🥰
What model number is your Canner?
Good job Greyson!
🤗
Awesome Job😊
🤗
Do everything you did up to the sucking part. Fill your sink with water. Submerge your ham up to the opening in your zip lock bag, and let the water pressure do the work.
I always knew you was a spitter 🤣😂
Excellent! Seems to work well. Yes, I've looked at vacuum machines. The unit isn't bad, but they gouge you on the bags. "Waiting on more hillbilly havks"! Take care!
So you don’t put bay leafs or oxygen packs?
We forgot about Bay leaf but oxygen packs don't do so well in plastic containers. 😢
How long will the flour stay good for long term storage in those buckets.
The weights are supposed to dance at 10 lbs. Thats how it keeps the pressure even. It did exactly as its supposed to.
Melanie.... It did not do what it's suppose to do. If you watch the video, it starts dancing below 9 lbs and never even gets up to 10 lbs. It never got above 9 lbs pressure. It is advertised to get up to 11.5 lbs pressure, but it never got above 9 lbs with my gas stove burner on it's highest setting.
