So all you have drive your car into the house got it.
I think my lost fob is in my car somewhere ad I can’t lock my door with the other fob. Doesn’t that mean the lost fob is in the car?
Thank you for making this video! Very informative. It’s getting harder to find either of these machines used… would you shy away from picking up a PT60? Any typical issues to watch out for?
PT-60 with quick attach is a great machine I'd buy one if it was in good shape or low hours
i'm curious. since the Al. wheels make the track take all the damage what kind of reduction in track life do you see with them?
none really typically I get 4 years out of a set of tracks. Jobs on steep or rocky terrain typically are harder on tracks as they get thin wil split as you need to tension them.
@@Northbaylandscaping I have a couple 120f mulching rigs and they get about 30hrs a week I get about 1khrs from a set of oem tracks. Aftermarket won’t make it 2-300. Hurts enough buying tracks but I am sick of replacing rollers. Dealers are all against the aluminum wheels because of track damage I guess I am probably double the gross weight of your machine (mulching head + tractor is about 15500 pounds) but I have 20” tracks with 4 rows of wheels so ground psi is probably the same or close. If you were running forestry equipment do you think you would want the aluminum wheels? And do rocks ever gouge them and make sharp edges then cut the tracks? That’s been a fear I have but I don’t think I ever hear of it happening. Sorry for all the questions, I’m about to spend 12k on a set of tracks ,all new bogies and idlers. Aluminum wheels are actually less expensive than oem so I’m really thinking about trying it
@@73Klyne yeah between 1k and 1.5k hours on a set of tracks is right. I might put 200 hours on my main machine a season which only weighs 6500lbs
Had a new shaft machined with a raised center to take up the wear 😅 But if your loaded you say:put a whole new bottom on the ol gal...
The question becomes how long would it take to put a whole new bottom in it? I need the machine asap. I can have it repaired cheap and fast wins everytime. It would take weeks to replace it all and cost a fortune.
Would you recommend putting aluminum bogies on initally to prevent unforseen downtime? Wonder if it would be a welcome factory request?
Well the factory wheels no matter how chewed up they get will be useable and it doesn't take long to change them out when the time is right.
You canuks are some clumsy bunch.i saw a video of a asv trying to get stuck.he couldn't do it.should of tried a Canadian!LOL
Reminds me of WALL·E

Nice job guys....enjoyed the video. LawnMark Concrete Driveway & Patio Team
Good packing but you need to use the sand and pipes to set your fall and grading and why is the guy walking back and forth on the finished base.
We use pipes but no sand only M gravel. Sand just provides a home for ants and M gravel you can walk on it.
I can't get my brush hog to operate on my RT 65. When I engage the hydraulics, everything binds up.... Any thoughts?
I have no experience with the brush hog but double check the flow rate of your attachment. Might have to bump up to the RT-75
@@Northbaylandscaping Thank you! Found it.....Didn't have the hydraulic coupler completely engaged
Check the 2 yellow wires above the oil filter ( DPU6555 ) and also check the starter switch .
What happens to them?
Do you happen to know what the actual operating weight of your ASV RT-65 is without a person and close to a full tank of diesel? I'm just wondering if the listed spec on their website is even close to the actual weight or if it is with the open ROPS and not with the All weather cab premium plus hydraulics.
I think it's 8000 LBS
Great video! How has the Deere snow blower been for you? Any plans on doing an update review video on the ASV RT-65 Max?
Have you put on quite a few more hours on your ASV RT-65 since this review? If so, how is it doing, any other pros or cons that you've found with this machine? Have you done a service on it yet? Thanks.
I'm starting to use it more this year but still under 500 hours. I'm using 2019 RT-60 gets use way more though
@@Northbaylandscaping anything about either the RT-65 or the RT-60 to warrant doing another video on them? Or on your N&N trailers?
Have you ever had your machine give you a signal not available message. my rt40 just did that and it won’t crank over but the fuel pump turns on.
no I haven't
I bought rt 75 no looking over shoulder , controls hard to move , rpm must be high , with high suspension attachment not good ground engagement , sit all the time , my asv rc 50 and my Terex 50 used all time I could do dentistry with them as you can with your older units !
@@richscott2952 totally agree with you on that
The starter motor dosent do anything? On mine
well the starter can go on them it's not uncommon
@@Northbaylandscaping tyanks for awnset hehe very unsoecified qusteuon but found it. Battery dead because of the sam eissue as you had
Check the 2 yellow wires above the oil filter ( DPU6555 ) and also check the starter switch .
@@noahsson00 yeah that's a common problem
Any machine I've had the paint will peel and you don't see primer.... And you use it for snow removal so it's seeing the worst of the salt! And I definitely prefer it for visibility I work around houses all the time as long as you're a good operator no problems!
Unhelpful
This will not last
800 hours and counting
They still make the rc 60 but you only get them in Australia
That's what I've heard as well
Would it have been to much to ask for you to take the wheel off and show what you're doing.
I no longer have an early wheeled machine all mine are newer. The early wheeled machines are way easier to work on and repair
Hello I have a 2008 ASV SR80, my left drive forward hose blew, if I jack the rear of the machine will it drop the rear axle enough for installation of the new hose Thank you
I'm not 100% sure. I did one on my PT60 all I had to do was drop the belly pans, I think I took the track off and took out the seat /floor. That gave me access to install the new line
that’s genius when 99% of people can’t bring their car inside the house
I'll call you
Shout out to the og hedblom
Great point on the attachment fluid contamination between different machines.. I was thinking about myself and was surprised no one else mentioned it as a possible issue. Also, I have a terex pt60 and find it to be a perfect size machine for most jobs
Yes I agree the pt60 is under rated because of it's size.
Owner: I’m limited in how much weight I can have behind me.. Also owner: I ordered every upgrade that adds hundreds of pounds ti the trailer and added 300 pounds of tire that while has extra capacity. He can’t make up for the weight by hauling more legally. Yes those options are nice but if you can legally only have 17k behind you total and your trailer now weighs 11 you wasted your money and time. A bumper pull that weighs 4500 pounds would be just as beneficial for him because he is so worried about weight
The truck in this video was inadequate for the trailer you would be correct but, I upgraded the truck since and that is no longer an issue. Did I loose money no because I got money back on the 2500 and bought 3500
You must work in some really tight properties, smallest machine we run is bobcat t595. How do you move pallets of pavers with these small machines? Great video
Yes I move and lift most paver pallets but never off a transport. If I get delivered I get the company to unload. Once they're on the ground it's not really a problem. It's rare but If I can't lift a skid I simply take off 10 bricks off the front side and I'm good.
Instructions unclear. My car is now lodged inside my living room.
Hi Darren, Love your videos. Would you be willing to share any tips on how to find aftermarket parts for the ASV under carriages? I have a 2017 RT-50 that could use some maintenance (mainly new dust caps) and new tracks. I like to have options whenever I begin a project...... Best regards Simon
Depends on where you live Tracks you need to shop around to find the best price and quality. for parts If you live in the states try trackloaderparts.com if you live in Ontario dealta power in mitchell is the Canadian distributor
@@Northbaylandscaping Thanks Darren I live in the Kitchener Waterloo area, actually have some parts on order from Delta at the moment. Pete there is a great guy to deal with. I thought perhaps you might know where I could find aftermarket parts. Example: the plastic inner rollers for the squirrel cage. Best regards Simon
I agree that the rt65 is a much more delicate machine because of the unprotected rear end, but the camera helps. The big plus of the rt65 for me is the high flow for our blower. We have wet heavy snow so I use high torque/low speed motors on the blower. It also shines chewing frozen berms. The rt60's 17gpm would not be enough for our purposes. Both are nice machines, but yes the rt60 is more rugged.
I believe the Rt60 runs around 21 gpm
@JR-jn8jp - I'm looking at getting an ASV primarily for snow removal purposes. I have a 400 yard long driveway that is up an incline the whole way (not steep but definitely going up hill). it is windswept and drifts a LOT. Do you think the RT-65 would give me problems clearing 12+" of wet snow up hill with an Erskine blower?
@@prec8080 you need to match the blower hydro motors to the machine flow rate. The rt65 w/ HF is 27gpm. I recommend a lower speed/higher torque motor for wet heavy. I will say an asv in the snow is amazing. Way better than the others. I use ours for snow and ice scraping. A heavy grapple works wonders for tearing up ice...
If swan Like is a marsh, how can they build next to it? It's supposed to be saved you can't build next It
They built up on the hill in behind. Swamp was between the road and the hill
THANK YOU!!! I have been looking for my keys for two days and was convinced they were in the garage, when I tried your locking trick the truck wouldn't lock or unlock so I focused my efforts inside the house and found them, thanks again 👍
Lost in my caar😊
We got to Demo an RT65 and preferred it over Bobcat, Case, etc. Our only issue was that it couldnt lift a skid of Techo Bloc Stone. We are looking at the RT75 for sure. I know Yanmar just released their new skid which is an ASV but with a construction style undercarriage! We noticed that the serviceability of the ASV was incredible and the surrounding visibility was great but I noticed that seeing your cutting edge was a bit more difficult than other machines. Great review.
yeah the rt75 will lift it forsure. I typically get my stuff delivered so once it's on the ground I can pick it up to move it around just can't double stack
Thanks for the feedback on the Max. I have a Terex PT50T (equivalent of the ASV RT50), and for a while I was lusting after a RT75 Max. The exposed rear end of the Max series did give me concern, as most of my work is in the rough, cutting tracks and clearing trees & vegetation on steep land. I doubt the rear end a Max would last long, so I will stick with my old machine. On a side note, today I heard the tracks on one side "popping" from trying to climb up onto the rear rollers as I was turning a corner while backing down a steep track with a fully loaded bucket. The rear rollers are slightly chewed up from rock cuts at 750 hours, while all the intermediate rollers are in near mint condition. I'll swap the rear rollers with middle rollers and I should be good to go. I can see track lugs were already starting to get damaged from climbing the rollers, so best to fix it now rather than wreck the tracks. What was that saying about an ounce of prevention?
agreed as for the bogie wheels I typically replace the rear bogies with steel or aluminum. I never change the intermediate but will do the front. i should do a video on bogie wheels
@@voidthewarranty1429 make tension tighter
Thanks for taking the time for the update review! Little things like knowing about the paint quality, tie down points sticking out and just being bulkier in general are real good things to know about, having not operated this specific machine.
I just had to pay the wis DNR 500.00 to repair a firelane logging trail through my property it was a area 9feet wide by 50 feet long .and the road was there for over 80 years .landowners are just cash cows in wisc
We were just looking at the 3.5 tons. We demo'd a Bobcat E35 and it was beautiful but expensive.
Yes expensive this one is a 10ton
How has the SV100 performed since this vid?
"HEY don't walk in there " now he tells him after the fact 😅 Great video gotta do same at my camp .... 🏕
I lost both of mine , but my truck is close to where they should be. If I start it with my phone, will it lock of a fob is near
Awesome video! How has your ASV RT-65 Max been holding up? I'd love to see an updated review video on it now that you've had for a while longer! Thanks.
Sure I guess we're due for an update video
How much did this job cost to get done? Looking to have a similar driveway/road put in
hard to say this was pre-pandemic depending on the price of materials we go by the squarefoot
@@Northbaylandscaping ah the good ol days lol
Now, in 2023 they have started using Yanmar engines. I wish ASV would go to an overhead door like Kabota.
