Any tricks to removing the sprocket roller bearings (pins) , the way the manual suggest to do it does not work. You cannot remove the bolt because it hits the machines body. For a PT-50 I am referring to the 12 on each side. Does the drive sprocket need to be completely removed?
I'm assuming you have the older style with the bearing on the end. Usually that bearing drys out and deteriorates. To remove it there's a snap ring underneath the cap you have to remove that snap bring it should pull apart if it doesn't you need a bearing puller
@@thelarochellefarm595 it's been awhile since I did it but I still remove the track and I think you have access to the top ones replace those and then rotate the motor and replace the other ones if I recall. You may be able to do it without even removing the track but you're only going to be able to change one or two at a time maybe a pain in the butt
Thanks for the video! I have been watching all of your RT-60 content as I have just picked up the same machine and also live in Ontario. You mentioned composite drive sprocket sleeves. Do you have a good source for these or even the steel ones? I found one place in the states caller "Bair Products" that has composite. Trackloaderparts has the whole steel kit but wants 214USD to ship them...any input is appreciated and thanks again for these great videos.
Right it's been awhile since i purchased those composite sleeves and i believe it was through bairs. When is time to replace the sleeves only the outers are composite. The idea is that the composite will wear and inturn will be the only ones to be replaced going forward.
