Travel India! Live or Die (Live)-Turbo Auto-Rickshaw (1 of 4) Ganges River
Take a trip in a turbo-charged Indian Auto Rickshaw from Rishikesh to Haridwar, Uttarakhand, India. Our "take no prisoners driver" lights up bidis and smokes, gets into an argument and passes cars and trucks with no fear (in a 4 part series) as I literally sit inches from death in this ride from one holy part of the Ganges River to another. My friend Anand was in the back and he said this guy was "nuts". The French lady and I didn't know what to think - so I decided to film this in case we died. I highly recommend this region of India - just a different auto-rickshaw driver! Please see all parts if you find this interesting.

Take off from Bombay to New Delhi on JetLite - B737-800. I had to movethe camera due to wing flex blocking the view and the sunlight. Sorry for the poor performance. Note the nice buildings amongst the slums located next to the airport.

Boeing 737-700 JetLite, India, Delhi to Hyderabad. Note the slums below the airport after takeoff and all of the pollution which is called "fog" by the locals. It is in fact smoke from burning trash, smog from car and factories and a little bit of fog that is trapped and does not burn off. Sometimes visibility is limited to 50 yards/meters. I was taking a flight to Denver from Burbank airport in Los Angeles when I pulled out my camera. This was a very early morning departure. Burbank is a small airport where you must walk to the airplane as there are no jet bridges. I snapped this film before the TSA came by and busted me for not getting on-board in a quick manner. Our takeoff take off on British Airways from London-Heathrow to Athens-Greece in a 767-300. Somewhat uneventful, but I posted it nonetheless. It is pretty though once we break through the clouds! Take a trip with Ryan Air from Stansted STN to (London) to TRS Trieste Friuli Venezia Giulia Airport (Northern Italy). One of my better films actually. We push back from the gate, taxi quickly and take off immediately. See the English countryside as we fly towards the English Channel.

This is the landing of AA flight 137, from LHR. Be sure to see the take off. We landed on 24R and then had to drive around to the South side of LAX. My thanks to the Crew for a spectacular job including Maureen, the Pursar. Service was excellent and all smiles. My thanks to the Co-pilot for the soft landing - soft as hot butter (and with such a heavy load). He almost used the whole runway.

SPEAKERS ON MAX - As promised, here is a takeoff from London Heathrow. Seat 4J, First Class on American Airlines. My apologies, as I ran out of memory about 1 minute after liftoff! My LAX to LHR vid is 10 minutes and very pretty. This one was LOUDER and more powerful as we had a totally full aircraft. We used the whole runway on takeoff. Not the best on UA-cam (that would be my first) but still...

A 1st Class video all the way. Listen to the Trent's rev up (SPEAKERS ON MAX!) as we taxi, hold, take off and then spool down and commence the powerful and long LOOP4 SIDS turn towards London from Los Angeles on a beautiful day. You can see LAX, the beach - Playa Del Rey (no smog!), the turn into the sun over the (few) clouds back over Hermosa Beach and then LA County as we go from west to east...

I've never been in a plane. That can't possibly be what it sounds like inside. You'd have to wear protective head gear like workers in loud environments.
No, it is not. I camera has/had excellent sound pick up and I was in front of the engines. Remember it is actually louder up front (during take off and landing) because sound travels faster than (the) speed - unless you break the sound barrier which is not going to happen here....
The Trent 800s are smaller than the Trent 900s on the A380 but they’re still more powerful, how about that now!
I love the 777-200 despite being smaller than the 777-300ER.

The Rolls Royce Trent 800 is an awesome engine. But I still like the GE90 engine on the Boeing 777.

It sounds like the Trent 700 (an engine of the Airbus A330.)
The engine spool up of the Trent 800 are just like the A330's Trent 700 engine.

I flew on this flight 12 times a year for 2 years, and yes I remember a few times there was a pilot who would full throtle takeoff, but he didnt have to because the runway in LAX is more then enough for this plane, usually it was a nice and slow glide up to the air.
