Minelab Gpx 5000? Don’t sell it just yet !!!!
Can you please tell me what the difference is between the gpx5000 pro pack and the gpx5000 universal?
Summary : Minute 27:50 ,,,real cool🎬🎬🎬🎬📣📣📣 Thx Sir.
Hi mate like the vids … what shaft have you got on the GPX looks functional
It's been awhile.. are you still making videos?
Do you reckon a boosted 4500 would of got it ? I reckon it would have. Those 7000s are way to heavy for me.
Hi gpx5000 prace ?
Wow, and they want 10k for the z7000, I reckon Mick is going to be very busy with his mods on the 5 after this. Great review and fair testing
Borrowed a 7000 off my mate for a day. Way too heavy for me. Love the 4500.
Great presentation! Really enjoy how you explain what you are doing and why. Being a 4500 owner I’ll have to watch the earlier videos with the un-modded 5k.
Who modded the 5000 ?
A few comments and observations. 5000 standard was getting that target easy. Did you try Enhance or just Fine Gold? Also, I wouldn't be using Quiet Audio as that chokes the audio a little. If you do, you need to back off the Stabilizer (higher numbers). For a big target at depth, DEEP audio type is the go. On the GPZ the signal was more defined in Low Smoothing. I can only use Smoothing off when my sensitivity is quite low, otherwise I find that borderline target signals get lost in the extra noise. That 17"x13" has been glued to my Zed ever since I put it on. It punches deep, and still very sensitive. At the end of the day, let's be honest, none of the combos tried missed it. Maybe the 6000 in Auto 1 was the only one that wouldn't pull you up.
Great test! It's not really fair to expect a 25" DD to beat a 19" mono coil though, is it? The 25" DD is more like a 25x12" elliptical mono given how a DD works, which means it should be expected to perform similar to 18" or 19" round mono, but with DD capabilities. Would have been great to compare the NF 25" Evolution (mono) instead.
Are you making anymore videos i love them
A 4500 earlier model with serial numbers starting with 100.... will beat a 5000 for big gold at depth....
Just checked. My 4500 starts with a serial number 100. Only just got it and have only used it on the beach so far. It goes down deep. I had another 4500 about 10 years ago and did ok around Kalgoorlie. Do you know if the 4500 like mine that starts with the serial number 100 is made in Australia or Malaysia ? Would love to know.
@@charlesmartella All the ml are made in Malaysia... In Australia they only put the chip that ground balance the detector...
@@jeanchardonnay5627 thankyou
Thanks for sharing
Mate start digging that nugget up before it moves somewhere else 😂lol
Thank you Maurice.very conclusive video.that answered lots of questions. I have a 5000 unmodified my mate has a 6000 which I use sometimes. I prefer the 5000 by a long shot.may be one day when i can afford it I'll get it modified. Thank again for your spot on commentaries
Hey mate whats the 5000 Mod ?
Can you put some pictures or information about your hipstick please ?
Can you put some pictures or information about your hipstick Please ?
Well done, wish I did sell the old 5000.
What the mod cost?
Sorry, but my XP deus 2 would easily read this 21gr ball in mineralized soil on that depth... Actually I'll make it happen on video and post it
Good luck, hope you find lots of gold. I love your videos and have got my gpx 5000 booked in for August to be modified with Detectronics. I have bought the 19 inch evolution coil already. In the mean time I will use my brand new gpx 6000 with the 17 inch coil here in WA. Regards Keith
I will send mine from california USA once you guys are back from the baby, thanks for all that hard work done in the video, Enrique
Keep it up 👍
There is quite a difference between the GPX 5000 modified and unmodified! Why do you suppose Minelab doesn’t already have this on the unit?
cuz they need to keep the scam going as long as possible
That’s amazing definitely impressive mods
Hi, Thanks very much for your videos, they are excellent. I want to modify my Gpx 5000 like what you have. I live in WA, which company/companies can do the necessary modifications please and what is the cost roughly if you know? Kind regards.
Your videos convinced me to modify my 5000. It took a couple of hours of adjusting to the more noise of the 5000 but after my first gold i am impressed. Using a NF 12 x 8 and in tiny frequency and 3 o'clock i have found speci's with pinhead size gold within 100mm. BB bullets are easily found. Same settings with 15inch evo NF found gold weighing 0.1g at 100mm. Also found small bolts at 300mm easy. About to try the 19inch NF next. I have a 25 inch, but is the mono version so hopefully not noisy. What manual tune settings you operate at? Is the setting affect sensitivity?
How much difference in after mods 5000
Awesome vid How hard is it to get a mining lease in vic
Been awhile rewatching with the 15” and the 19” did you leave it in Fine Gold? And when you switched to lower frequency did you use, -1 ,Big,or Large ?Cheers such a great video
hello great video where was modified 5000 who performed fashion
Обосрали Семёрку 😂😂😂
Awesome job Maurice 👌 mine is in the queue to get done at micks

Great video thank you, I have a moded 5000 by Mick also, May you please tell me the rear setting that you were using.
Hi ,,, im from brazil,, Which coil do you use ??
Who does the 5000 modification Maurice?
Im loving the whole idea of you sharing your journey Maurie. Great stuff - very interesting indeed . I have a friend who does a lot of detecting in Victoria. His name is Phil Noden. He calls himself "Fabulous" . He also runs a lot when he's not detecting. He tells me he is the fittest Gold Detector in Australia. I believe him. Do you know Fabulous ? Do you think he is the fittest Detector in Australia ?
You have no clue what you are doing. Difficult .... really ??. Learn to use a detector first before you start doing videos
who's modd is in the 5k?
Who modded the 5k
Well done mate, they all add up👍
Hey Maurice, can u do another video showing that modded 5k in enhance mode using the mod , detecting that can in the bank plz, want to know if it’s worth getting a 4500 modded, thank you
Could you tell me where to get my 5000 modded please ,I live in Western Australia. Many thanks Lloyd.
Interesting video, but can you tell the cameraman to stop blowing his gazoo!! .. 😂
Hi Maurice ,a great idea for a video, would be to plant a large target at a depth where the 5000 is UNABLE to get a RESPONSE AT ALL, in the stock standard settings that yr using at the time, and then put it in modded mode and then see if you can get it, you do great videos anyway, but that’s what I would like to see, I’m getting a modded 5k too, but mick can’t do it until June for me, thanks Maurice👍😃
I use my GPX17 for searching everyday
I can buy a used 5000 with 3 coils for 3K. Is that a good deal?
Yes
