I dont understand why people say drones aren't immersive

Wow, I would have loved this I had 1 and 2097, don't know how I missed this.

I have kept Omega Collection on my PS4 pro... never going to sell the console because it is the only VR version through PSVR1. Having owned the first Wipeout on launch PS1, playing Omega in VR is literally a youth fever dream come true 😢

Rather than the last game from the original team, this was developed by a different studio: Psygnosis Leeds. The Liverpool studio were busy developing Fusion.

Is it played on emulator?

As a kid, and still do, i used Auricom. Could you blame me tho? They have the closest ship to Anakins podracer!

Important to note that on emulated hardware ps3 pc etc there is also missing sound effects and subtle differences in alien behavior and frame rates. I noticed once I played a backup on original ps1 hardware. For example the AI voice is directly tied to the fps or disc read speed? I think.

The graphics are beautiful, though when this came to PS+ and I played it, the racing felt a bit less intense than the classic games. Like it's a bit easier and slower all around? Maybe it's just me.

I think what I like most about pulse compared to pure is that the other racers feel more real. In pure, every other craft seems to adhere to a strict racing line, and you'll find bombs you placed on the first lap, still there on your last lap. Not the case in pulse. Everyone spreads out and it feels much more authentic for that

My biggest complaint about this game is that they IMO goofed up with the name, I feel like Wipeout 2064 would have been a better naming choice.

Funny enough, in-universe, the reason the F9000 league is so different is because the race commission was literally bought out by a criminal corporation named Overtel, and they wanted to forego all safety designs set by the prior administration. And the lore reasons for why previous teams didn't appear in Wipeout Fusion is because: -Qirex was bought out by Tigron Enterprises as they struggled financially and had no parent company to protect them (they were owned by Overtel years prior) -Icaras' CEO died and his son dissolved the entire operation -Goteki 45 Headquarters were bombed by an unidentified squadron of bombers and were completely destroyed -Assegai were bought by Piranha to improve their airbrakes -AG-Systems went bankrupt and were bought out by G-Tech

Horizon 1 just had a feel to it that the rest of the series never quite hit. The slowly moving up the rankings gave a sense of satisfaction that the others just didn't replicate.

as a guy who as like over 2000 hours in this game (just a rough estimate as i had the cracked version) THIS GAME IS TOTALLY WORTH IT specially for those who play alone and wants to relieve their stress from the day's work, just sit back and play, use your own tactics, you dont have to watch any sort of "how to get better" in this game, you WILL get better in this game with time, no need to stress yourself at all, i started playing it in 2021, first at arcade difficulty, now i play in tier mode that too in tier 1 (highest possible difficulty) and i still play this game for like 2-3 hours. the environment, the music, the npc, the ambience just worked like a charm for me to release stress

The frame pacing in your video makes the game look jerky but it runs at 30fps normally.

the craziest thing about this game is that they fit the music into those few megabytes of cartridge space. i know about music trackers, but it sounds so natural that i find it hard to believe they pulled it off this way.

I had to uninstall this moronic shite for those ludicrous gaylord animations alone. I mean, look at that 0:58 ! What the actual heck is that supposed to resemble? A male special operator bent over like asking to be shagged in his ass, or what? 🤦🏼‍♂ 🤜🏼🤕 Couldn't bear to watch those douchey muppet animations for another minute. Ubi again desperately trying to be like .... what ... look cool? Nyahahaha! This has gone totally to shits then! Uninstalled. Back to Wildlands. The guy's gait in Wildland is still the coolest and most natural looking one I've seen in a game to date. There's nothing better than slowing down after you completed a self-chosen objective, tucking yer guns away and pacing solemnly around like you own the place. Even R* could take a page from that designer's book who was behind this walk. Although faster animations also look ludicrous, and the panting while sprinting is just plain dorky and annoying, as if done by a designer who's never run a day in his life and therefore didn't know how you breathe when you have to run, certainly not by holding yer breath and then blurting it out.... but at least they don't do those apish stances and gaits like in Breakpoint. And the open world is still one of the most vibrant and beautiful, while BP appears to me just like a huge waste of space, dead and empty. Then knit a likewise lazy, dopey story around this barren world to explain it, done. To this day, I don't get it how anyone could have fun in this world, more so than in Wildlands. Wildlands is still my first choice if I needed to take a break from RDR2.

I just bought it and am enjoying it. It reminds me a lot of Days Gone which also was a great game.

If you go with the flow, turn off the AI team mates and don't cheese anything, it's a really immersive single player stealth shooter. I still play it in 2024.

Hi, im going to buy a mini pc soon and use it solely to run emulation on it. Would you say the ps2 version would be the best if i cant get a hold of the pc version? Because i heard with ps2 games you can upscale them to 4k, so it would look really good as well.

I adored 2097 on PS1. Wipeout Fusion came on the best console ever, the PS2, and... it had weird unpleasant tracks and an unremarkable "hard-sounding" soundtrack. I was disappointed, like so many. The series would redeem itself fantastically on PSP and PS3/4.

My friend is more disappointed that they made him shredded like Sly in Rambo 2, but for me I didn't know there was all the cyber enemies. I think you mentioned you can turn those off. Does that mean you could make it so you fight human enemies only? Or do you still have to fight the cyber trucks and whatnot? I love the Division 2, but Black Tusk annoyed the crap outta me. Just wanna see if it's worth getting since there will be sales soon and I'm looking for another game to play with my friend.

The greatest game ever. Get yourself a crew and try and find the Predator for some real fun. Spents weeks trying to kill him. Loved every moment of it

1997 and the Matrox Mistique version was my entry into the universe. I had another DOS/win95 version I got on budget re-pack for £5. The music was and still it something I listen to a lot, and because my first edition was a bundled one with missing tracks I am still finding ones I never heard. If you go into the mechlab in MW2 and name yourself Freebirth Toad it unlocks the Tarantula and Elemental for you to pilot. It also unlocks the battlemaster but there is a typo in its file that makes it crash, there wasa patch to fix that.

Currently there are Wipeout remakes on PC such as BallisticNG made by Neognosis and Formula Fusion made by former Psygnosis Leeds programmers There are also ports made with the leaked Wipeout source code, such as Wipeout Phantom Edition... Phoboslabs, the creator of the Web browser port of Wipeout even stated that if Sony takes it down, then there may be a new Wipeout coming.. And yeah, Wipeout Rush / Merge is a flop
