      Is this for the xbox or another console? Mine is for a xbox do not sure what the red light is. I would first try another set of new batteries. You said there is no corrosion in the battery location. That would be my second place to check. If it is still not turning on like it used to, I would open it up and see if a wire or something simple came off. Just record how things came apart, and where the screws go.

    Thanks for sharing! I was up to repair my drum kit! Did you simply unsheath the cable that previously had the jack connector and create the two wires to connect them to the sensor? Or did you just replace the cable? (and eventually which cable did you use?)

    • @smikey.
      @smikey. 6 місяців тому

      If I understand your question correctly, I replaced the wires from the main circuit board to the piezo sensor. The piezo sensor wiring went to a small circuit board(which I found fail). Then, there is a wire from the main circuit board that plugs into that small board. I bypassed the small circuit board. I don't think it was very clear in the video, but the small circuit board is a failure point. I used the small circuit board as a connection point. This means I soldered my wires from the piezo sensor and the wires from the main circuit board to the same points on the small board. This I felt this would help keep the wire in the correct location and provide rigidity. The wires from the main circuit board to the small circuit board were crumbling and coming apart. Hope that helps.

      Thanks for the fast reply! So if I got this right, these wires just bring the positive and the negative of the sensor to the main circuit and do nothing more? If that so I can't understand why they had to put a cable with a jack 3.5mm 😅

    I watched your video and I’d like to know. I have a broken Audio Jack on the circuit board on the GHWT Drums Yellow cymbal. How and where do I connect the red and black wires from the sensor bypassing the circuit board so that my yellow cymbal will respond when I hit with the Drum sticks.

    • @smikey.
      @smikey. Рік тому

      If I understand your question correctly, the two wires coming off your pizio sensor could get wired up to a couple of locations. I soldered them both up to the leads for the audio jack on the small circuit board. This way, this makes it a little more secure when the wires are getting moved around. It doesn't matter in this circuit which of the 2 wires(that come from the main circuit board to your cymbal) you attach the red wire from your sensor to as long as you connect the black wire to the other one. You could also just solder the wires coming off of your pizio sensor to the wires coming off the main circuit board to your cymbals. I hope this answers your question.

    So basically, the leaking water inlet fills the basin after each cycle?

    • @smikey.

      Yup. If the dishwasher is turned on it will drain the water.

    There have been a few comments about this, but put the magnet in place. Test it out to make sure it is making ice. If not, flip the magnet around and test again. @chrisluehmann3094 found that the magnet is pole sensitive He said one side of the magnet has a very light dusting of white paint. This side must be facing away from the sensor. Once it is working, I would make sure you know which side needs to face the magnet then put some glue on the back of the magnet so it doesn't come out again. (the part of the magnet that faces away from the sensor) I used super glue myself.

      Hey @smikey Thanks for this video/ I followed your directions in your other video and my magnet was out just like yours. I put it back in and it worked for one ice-making cycle but now but its not working yet again. I popped it back open and the magnet is still in place. I'm going to have to take this whole thing apart I guess. Does anyone have any ideas?

    • @smikey.

      How long have you let the ice maker run to make ice? I left mine over night the first time. If it has been a while, pull out the tray. Do you have water in the ice cube making section? Is there any ice in the tray holding location? There is a second magnet on a gear as well. It should be shown in my first video. Let me know if those don't resolve it.

      @@smikey. It has been in there 2 days now. The first time I followed your quick-fix method where you pulled down the icemaker and popped the cover off to replace the magnet (mine was out). It worked instantly and made one good tray of ice. I was so happy to hear it working. But, after that, it quit again. I took it apart partially because I thought the magnet fell out again but this time I noticed an excess amount of ice in the upper cube-forming tray. It's like it filled, froze couldn't dump the cubes, and then filled again on top of the cubes. The motorized arms that push the ice out were frozen solid and it appeared to be jammed so I took the whole thing out and let it thaw. I put it back together 2 days ago and hoped I would hear that magical sound that it makes. Nothing. I am currently debating taking it all out again and testing the components on the boards. mainly the Hall effect sensors. I wonder if the magnets are pole-specific.

    • @smikey.
      @smikey. 5 місяців тому

      @chrisluehmann3094 I don't think the magnets are pole sensitive. I have been wrong before. There is a gear that also has a magnet in it. If I am correct, this gear is used for dumping the ice. The magnet you found out is for the ice filling stage. Check the gear and see what you find.

    Is the voltage out put from the control board to the oven element ac or dc?

    • @smikey.
      @smikey. 2 роки тому

      It is DC. Looking at the diagram, the temperature prob is run through the circuit board. The board has rectifiers changing the A/C to D/C.

    Hey mate I am at 2:49, inserting the blade bit into the bottom slot to pop off the cover. I've been at it for nearly an hour and I can't seem to get it to pop out. The inner plastic tab pushes up when I use the blade bit, but the cover doesn't pop out like yours did. Same model and such. Any advice? Thanks in advance.

    • @gonefishin1234
      @gonefishin1234 2 роки тому

      I ended up putting the blade bit into a multidriver and flexing the front panel down below the tab and then just pulled the cover off. As suspected, no magnet in the arm. It was stuck to the spring. Got the magnet back in, reassembled the whole thing and turned the ice maker back on, drawer is back in. Hopefully when I wake up I will have ice. Thank you!

    • @smikey.
      @smikey. 2 роки тому

      Check to make sure you get the screw at the top out. Try to pull the ice maker out and down as much as possible. Then push the tab like you were and with a second small blade screw driver, gently pry at the cover seam. Maybe a second set of hands would help with all this.

    Fantastic walk-through! This was exactly what I needed. One small upgrade that might help folks: after you connect the braided supply line to the elbow/intake, you can turn on the water to check for leaks *before* doing the rest of the re-assembly (as the valve defaults to “off”). I figured out this short-cut after putting everything together, discovering a small leak at elbow/intake connection, and then having to disassemble everything again to fix it. Again, thanks! Grateful folks like you put these videos together.
