I believe Jean Harlow's burial dress was pink even though she never wore pink herself. Nelson Eddy sang Sweet Mystery Of Life at the funeral because it was Harlow's favorite song. All the stars in these photos look truly upset and shaken. Harlow's personal secretary fainted when she saw Jean in the open casket. It was so shocking that a person so young and vibrant had passed. Never the less, Jean Harlow will always be remembered for her sparkling film performances.

Jean Harlow had polio as a child and doctors predicted she would never walk again, but she did. Then, at 16 she got scarlet fever with strep that damaged her kidneys. By age 21 she had symptoms which proved her kidneys were 50% gone. But, for the next five years she had a legendary career with sparkling comedic performances in movies like Dinner At Eight and Libeled Lady. Only her youth and tenacious spirit kept her going in Saratoga. It is too bad she didn't live long enough to do her next film In Old Chicago with Tyrone Power. It would have been a real classic. Back in those days they had big stars and Jean Harlow was definitely one of them despite a short career.
