I went to Japan on July and bought a set of kusakabe harmonia..the color is so beautiful and the granulation works amazing. In Japan Holbein new granulation set sold out almost everywhere but I'm so glad I get to try out kusakabe because of it

Love the sketchbook, especially the obnoxious frog! We all have a few of them in our sketchbooks just to remind us that not everything in life is perfect. We need these pages just to mess with us haha. You keep it real. You work with products to make yourself like them before deciding nope, not for me. Thanks for sharing.

Like you, I go through my studio a couple of times a year. It's almost like inventory taking, together with organising. I find ar supplies I had forgotten about. I am on a "shop from my shelves" era now 😂 I am only buying previously loved and almost intact art supplies from eBay or thrift stores. I found some amazing vintage items. Hello! New sub here -such an amazing deal on the blocks of Arches!! Wanted to write and advise you to use them in a timely manner, as watercolor paper does go bad, sadly. Thus, don’t use sparingly due to expense or “hoard” them for perfect paintings (I’ve NEVER DONE THIS, clearly, lol!!) as they only last 2-3 years before the sizing begins to go bad, and they could be getting up there to begin with🥹(perhaps contributing to the INCREDIBLE deal…😬) Happy Painting!!!!!🙏🏻🥰

I really wish you had shared swatch sheets or art done on white paper for all the Japanese and metallic paints you shared.

Tracie is right ignore the trolls and just like at the park don't feed them just ignore and report them and if they continue block them. Some people are so bitter and unhappy they have nothing better to do than to try to tear people down. I love your videos and I always enjoy them first because you always sound upbeat and happy and of course the content is also a plus. 😊 Keep up the good work. It's really sad that the bigger channels get the more people start attacking them.

Okay, now that I am over from laughing at the first book (and ordering a copy for my DIL) I had to order some of the other books as well. I am really looking forward to Birds in Watercolor and Collage. I love to paint birds and I've really been getting into collage these days. What a great melding of the 2! Thanks for the info on the books. Oh, and heads up on the troll if you already haven't read the post. That person must be miserable. It's easy for me to sit here and tell you not to take it personally, but I am not the one who has to deal with hateful people. Just know that the person is talking from a place of their own pain and misery and ignore what they have to say, and then block them. It's not just cats who are D's. I always enjoy your content. I have so many other favorites, but I will limit my recommendation to two: one is the quarterly magazine Uppercase-so inspirational! The other is the book Watercolor Botanical Garden by Rachel Eskandari-easy-to-follow beautiful botanicals!

Rather than return and probably have all of that box wasted you can actually find those tiny nails and fix that nail that’s missing. I bought the shadow tints with your code. Thanks for the idea.

I'm so glad you tried the gansai again! I haven't bought all the boku undo but I have the the sumi set, plus every single color Kuretake makes... I also have a set of Kissho gansai which is a darker muted set as well. Shinhan is quickly becoming a favorite for gouache, but I haven't tried their watercolor sets. I'm interested in Kusakabe, but I just invested in White Nights. Maybe I'll get a set for Christmas. I was severely disappointed in Caran D'ache gouache...I tried their tube gouache... but I've heard the dried is better? not sure... okay so I'm going to stop gushing now. This video is great.
