Alabama and Philadelphia Eagles
I did Alabama 😃 ua-cam.com/video/J6dG-DzzhkY/v-deo.html I don't think I'll be doing the eagles due to the size and amount of color changes. It wouldn't work well for a small motif like this style. it could definitely work on a large scale, but since I work full time and do this on the side, I don't have time for that large of tutorials right now. Thank you for leaving your comment! I hope you check out the 'Bama one 😉
As I was scrolling I saw it thank you
I would to make /learn how to make the giants nfl logo
Friend of mine became a grandma & they are a Colts family, plus live in Indiana. Can you make a hat for toddler? Also, where do I get a printout of the pattern?
Ah! Super exciting!! I won't have time to create a pattern for that, but you could definitely add it on like applique style, or find a single crochet basic beanie and incorporate it. Usually beanies are worked in the round, so I would just use the chart as a guide for how many stitches of each color, but you wouldn't be working back and forth (though you could turn when working in the round, it's just not typical). I'd recommend using thinner yarn, like weight 3 and a smaller crochet hook to make it a smaller version of the same thing for a toddler size beanie. The chart is available as a PDF on the bottom of the blog post which is linked in the description below the video. There is the written pattern in the blog post, but at the bottom there is a link to the chart and the video is there as well.
How can I get the directions sheet?
In the description below the video there are links to the blog post with written instructions and to the chart. Scroll below the video and click more next to the description area. You should see the links :)
Reason: you found a pretty yarn ,but for some reasons you only bought one skein
Yes! Definitely done that. We should really know better shouldn't we? hahaha
Thank you ..your directions are very informative..❤ going to make this blanket 😊
2y ago what does. row 8-11: 42 sc (4 rows) mean?
That means that you do 42 SC for each of the 4 rows, 8,9,10,11. So to make the pattern shorter, instead of listing out each row, since they are all the same, they bunch it together.
Thank you so much for responding. That helps!!!❤
49ers please !!! 😊 and Vikings ❤
noted! at first glance, the vikings logo is probably too details to do on the small scale, but doing just the distinctive "V" *might* work. 49ers, i'll have to play with to see if it will work.
How do I identify the hole to use for long single crochet stitches?
For long single crochet or spike stitches, you would insert the hook into the same place on the stitch, but it would be a row or 2 below (depending by oh how long the spike stitch is) instead of the top of the previous row.
Lovely little blanket! What are the finished dimensions?
Thank you! The size is 19x17 inches. :)
Danke

Please help me to make a Texas Tech logo for my granddaughter Taylor, from her nana in Ireland, thanks
I will try to work that out soon! I've been working my "normal" job a ton recently, but plan to slow that a little and get back to crocheting more!
Love it, im making a blanket for my granddaughter Taylor, her nana in Ireland, thanks.
Love it, I'm making a blanket for my granddaughter who is going to texas tech, thanks
Finally!!! Been searching everywhere for a video like this, had the rip apart a blanket I spent like 15 hours on bc it looked like a mushroom 😭 This video is the crochet chefs kiss 🤌🏽
I'm so glad it was helpful! Thank you for taking the time to leave such a kind comment!
Crochet thread is mercerized, which is a process that burns off the “halo” (or fuzz) and makes it stronger. If you decide to crochet with embroidery floss, you can do that; but the end project won’t look as crisp, and may pill with agitation. Mercerized thread does not do this.
Wow! Thank you for adding this helpful information! I didn't know that difference between crochet thread and embroidery floss and could definitely have made that mistake. I appreciate you taking the time to comment!
I am so grateful for this. I trippled this and used it in the center of an afghan. Love it!!! Thank you!!
Yay! I'm so glad you found it helpful. I'm also glad you were able to adapt it to an Afghan! Great job! And thank you so much for taking time to leave feedback. It's very appreciated!

I’ve actually seen size 16 steel hooks .5mm tiny tiny I use em to crochet with sewing thread
Wow!! That's impressive! I don't think my eyes are good enough haha 😂
@@CraftywithAshy I use magnifying lens things that clip on my glasses helps stop eye strain
@@gracearagon15 So smart! I picture you like a neuro surgeon now!
I've never seen anyone crochet this way with the hook down and then loop the hook around the yarn to pulling through. It really reminds me of how sewing works. I was rotating my arms so much. This seems way more efficient with a little practice. I can't wait to give this a try. Just out here learning the basics and stumble into this cool technique.
@@Bobbakerfield awesome! I hope it works out for you!
I love how you explain the difference between thread and yarn which I have picked up crocheting thread over 10 years ago and I prefer thread over yarn, especially where Christmas and gifts are concern. Not many people know the difference especially where number of stitches is concern. Thank you for explaining the difference.

Love seeing all the 100% cotton on sale. Does anyone know if any of the brands with cotton yarn are pre-shrunk, or should the yarn be washed and dried before beginning a project? Love this video. Thank you for showing the yarn up close and all the information.
That's a very good question. I really don't know the answer. I'll have to look around to see if I can find the info. Thanks for taking time to leave a comment with feedback! Much appreciated!
@CraftywithAshy You're welcome. I always worry items will shrink and no longer fit. I've checked on labels. But no mention. Odd. Thank you!
June 21, 2024 at 4:30AM - I just wanted to comment that I just now purchased Aunt Lydia's Fashion 3 Crochet Thread at 40% OFF from Michaels ($2.99/ball). I bought 2 balls each of 14 different colors they were selling and got FREE SHIPPING! I do not gain anything from sharing this knowledge but I'm sure most anyone can appreciate a saving money. I hope someone benefits from this info. Have a great day! 😊
Awesome! I love people helping people! 😁 Thank you for sharing!!
Thank you I learned something new. I love the stitch pattern you used. What is the name of the pattern?
Thank you for taking time to leave feedback! This is actually just single crochet worked in rows. 😁 I love the way it looks too! Very classic.
Good afternoon, I want to learn how to filet crochet. What size hook and thread you recommend for beginners?
Hi! I'm excited you want to learn this technique! I like size 30 thread and a 1.4 mm steel crochet hook. I have a video tutorial for a name "doily" with filet crochet technique and I use that size if you want to see what it looks like. ua-cam.com/video/RggpcAg4mjY/v-deo.htmlsi=uOGYScuIRq7NXoGP It's going to take some practice working with the tiny materials, but if you already crochet it shouldn't be too much of a jump. If you haven't crocheted before, I'd probably recommend learning the stitches with yarn first just because it is so much easier to see what you're doing.
My teacher agrees with you, but I still prefer the knife grip
My best friend prefers the knife grip too, and I taught her to crochet haha. To each their own 😁 Maybe we should do a poll haha. I bet it's close to 50/50.
@@CraftywithAshy I'm left handed so doing a pencil grip with my right hand seems unnatural. After two hours of trying the pencil grip my carpal tunnel flared up so much the GP is sending me for an MRIp, and the pain is such I can't crochet at all (or open the cap of a bottle , or lift the kettle). A whole week of no crochet and pain 😥
@@Danceswithfishes oh no! That's so hard! I hope the week off gives your wrist the rested needs to heal. 🙏
@@CraftywithAshy thank you. I have to wear a splint for another two weeks. I'm just going to stick with knife grip, even if I don't get to make lacy shawls 😂

Is there a way to make the star without the square? I want to make a Cowboys ripple blanket with just the star on the bottom
The specific technique requires the square. I'm sure there are star patterns out there without the square, It would require a lot of increases and decreases I would assume. I have never made one.
Mystery solved, very well explained 😊
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave feedback! Much appreciated! I'm glad you found the content helpful 😁
Thanks for this video! How long did it take you to complete your project?
That's a great question. I don't really know how many hours. I did it in about a week I think. I would work on it on my lunch break, at home, and some at church too.

Great Video! Th Ankh You
You're welcome. Thank you for taking the time to comment! 😁
I prefer cotton or bamboo yarn for my projects - mostly t-shirts. I hate it to wear plastic bags (aka acrylic fibers)
I feel ya! I do like certain acrylic yarns, but I only buy them in person so I can touch them first.
In sp BEFORE next dc
What does it mean when it says dc in so BEFORE next dc?
Hmm... I'm not positive. Some of this isn't standardized unfortunately. My first thought would be to insert your hook between the posts of the stitches.
Thanks bestie, was debating on what hook to use for a snood I'm making. I'll go with a bigger hook because my project is 2.5m long!
Awesome! I'm glad the video was helpful for you! Thank you for taking time to leave a comment 😁
