At least do the leather and a wash mate...
Looking forward to watching the progress 👍
@rich_john thanks mate 👍
Great stuff, I'm on a similar journey myself. I purchased the ACW box set when it came out, sold it a year later and now I've literally just bought the Gettysburg box set and have challenged myself to work through it and get it all painted. I like your idea of painting just the front and back. They look good. It will be good to follow your progress with these. Good luck mate.
@iwanhughes2965 thanks mate I will be posting videos on this ongoing project 😁👍
Great way to get a project off the ground without getting bogged down and discouraged by obsessing on an intricate paint job, nice idea mate😉
@themim66 thanks Chris it's made me very positive to get them done 👍
It’s going to look pretty spectacular once you’ve got them all painted up!
@hangarflying thanks mate can't wait to get them done 👍
Awesome project
@basicminiaturepainting thanks mate I am really looking forward to getting them done for battle 👍
Huzzah!
@@davidgeister 😁👍
Cheap and impressive...Nice project!
@philRminiatures thank you Phil 👍
That is a great looking collection! All those Shermans! Glad to see you've got a Marder in there. Under rated vehicle for BA. Never tell the wife the real cost of the hobby. lol
@jvcpaints haha, don't worry I won't tell her 😉 😅 thank you mate 👍
Recently made a tank game myself after looking at Achtung Panzer and saying I would have done that different 2 dozen times. Turned out to be a lot of fun. Was going to look into bolt action or flames of war for tanks. Using micro lego tanks atm
@forevermorbid8949 nice one mate, thanks 😁👍
Awesome £62 worth there fella…..give you £70 for it? ;)
@richardhogg2600 thanks mate but errrr no. 😂👍
Can't put a price on happiness
@rich_john thanks mate 😁👍
Wow, very impressive!!
@philRminiatures thank you Phil 😁👍
Thats an awesome collection mate
@basicminiaturepainting thank you mate 👍
🤣😂Nearly choked on my tea ‘told the wife £62 the lot’ best to keep shtum on that one mate. Thats some collection, very nice. Maybe you could try out Warlords new ‘Achtung Panzer!’ with that little lot.😉
@themim66 😂😂 Achtung panzer maybe in the future. Thanks mate 👍
Fun to watch thanks. Glad you enjoyed playing too which is the main thing. Just a rules thing which you may have changed anyway, normally in combat SMGs only roll one dice and on a hit you may reroll for tough fighter. As it was it really didn’t matter in the game.
@marctitley7020 thank-you Marc, and with the rules, I might of forgot as with solo games there is no one to remind me 😂👍
I’ve had a lot on this week, but finally got to watch your Solo Battle Report. Loved it, I think you’re definitely on to something with putting one force on defence, it seemed to work really well. A few ideas that occurred to me whilst watching; 1) Maybe you could place the defending force as you would if you wanted to play defensive 2) Have fewer objective points and place them closer to the centre of the defensive army 3) Restraining, the defensive army’s movement was a good idea, but maybe remove your choice of when to use the limited movements. For example, the movement could be triggered by the attacking army’s proximity to the main objective point, say when they come within 8 or so inches of it 4) Finally, as the defending army is digging in, maybe they could have access to the inside of buildings but the attacking force can’t enter for defensive purposes. Definitely got me thinking mate, great video, thanks so much for doing it👏👏👏
@themim66 thanks Chris and some great ideas for future. 😁👍
Bloody and beautiful looking game, smoke and fire markers add a lot to the atmosphere...
Thank you mate, I used them so I didn't forget who shot, 😁👍
Great report.....one idea, could be to place numbered tokens for the german units.....then when revealing the token randomise what unit it is.....obviously might mean a less logical placement of a particular unit, but the not knowing would definitely be worth that slight issue.
Thanks mate and fantastic idea and I might use that next time 😁👍
I’m also going to have to invest more time in solo gaming, looking forward to watching your game mate. If your ever up near the North Yorkshire coast, drop by and we’ll have a game😉
Thanks mate and yes it would be fantastic to have a game with you especially with your fantastic terrain 😁👍
Well done, Mark!
I've been doing solo for the past couple years. I think it comes down to not playing against yourself. I try to pick a few traits that would make the opposing commander act differently from how I would act (more aggressive or cautious, etc). Otherwise, both of your forces look great. Love the Jagdpanthers!
Thanks so much Josh and some good ideas 👍
Looks great!
Thanks mate 👍
Are you going to make the Germans hidden, your British are deployed first by you, then you draw a German dice, or maybe a chit with what the German unit is then you role a dice to see where they are placed using a small map of the terrain with numbers corresponding with a place on the table so you could be facing anything??
Going to try it like I said at first, but yours is a good idea also 👍
There are a set of like a.i cards that choose your opponent actions for you, I think green dragon games does them??
nice I think I will have a look. Thanks mate
Great video and very helpful as I'm currently working on ss myself
Can't wait for 3rd edition. Don't put yourself down fella on the painting they all look good I especially like the little Humber 😏 Look forward to more vids from yourself pal
Thanks mate and yes I hope we will get an even better game with 3rd 😁👍
The Flak and the Jagd Panthers look Amazing! The Rest Too! Happy Gaming!
Thank you so much mate 👍
Nice job on the models. Love the sound of your future videos on Bolt Action 3 Rules, will definitely be tuning in for them, can’t wait👍🏻
As always thank you mate 👍
Canadia stands!
Your pant work looks great well done keep it up 👍👍👍🤠🤠
Thank you mate 👍
Thanks Mark, I like the desert basing on your 88. Always looking forward to your rule tutorials, it’s the main way my friends and I learn the rules.
Thank you so much Luke, glad I can help. Help 3rd will make the game even better 👍
Very cool bolt action my friend
Thanks mate 👍
I'm looking forward to BA third edition, let's hope it's polishing and little tweeks rather than complete change of the game we love. Also I'd like them to NERF some of the gamey units. See too much 1940K in list building.
Yep we will have to wait and see mate. 👍🤞
excellent video. are those pens acrylic paint? I tried a white gel pen but it just rubbed off
Thanks mate, yes it's just like paint, you can go over paint and paint over it. I have been looking for what I ordered but can't find it at the moment. It was from amazon, so if I find it I will let you know 😁👍
Can you shoot through your own units as normal?
Not sure at the moment mate but when I can I will find out for you 👍
Great video, glad to have you back in the Bolt Action camp😂 Looking forward to learning the new rules with you mate.
Thank you mate and I am really looking forward to seeing the new rules 👍
Welcome back. Love the SAS especially
Thank you Dom, 😁 👍
Great job Mark. I never mind waiting for your videos, so please don't feel like you'll be losing any loyal followers. We all know how life can be. This video has inspired me to make a real dent in my pile of shame this comming days off!
Thanks mate really means a lot to me 😁👍
Great video you have done a great job on the SAS and your tanks. We have all been there with a mogo going on strike but I glad you getting back in the swing again 👍👍👍🤠🤠🤠
Thank you mate 👍
Love the SAS force....could do some fun themed scenarios with them
Thanks mate and yes hopefully get some good raiding games in with them 👍
Great update, Mark! Love the Jagdpanzers and Jagdpanthers! Love the SAS stuff as well. Just built the Humber Mark IV myself. Keep it up, my friend!
Thank you as always my mate 👍
Very nice models. 👍.
Thank you 😁 👍
Excellent update mate
Thanks mate 👍
4 bases are one Regiment and three Regiments are one Brigade
I will mate thank you 👍
Welcome back mate we all loose the mojo keep going you'll get it back
Thank you mate 👍
Very interesting, I belonged to a small group of friends that regularly played Bolt Action on a 10ft square table for ages , but last year it began to fizzle for all the reasons you have mentioned. Si not wanting to give up, but my mojo was diminished, I started to look for inspiration elsewhere, I even placed an advert seeing if anyone was interested in starting a club in the local area, that fell on deaf ears, I then thought, if I cannot game , I will paint and I am now hooked on Black Powder, early days but coming together, so you are not alone, looking forward to the battle reports
Solo wargaming is very rewarding, you can create narratives and really explore scenarios or whole campaigns. I go to a club for social interaction and shared interest, but I do solo games and campaigns as well.
Thanks mate 👍
Yup! We all lose that mojo over the years in the hobby. The plastic will always be there! Get after that Bolt Action! Nice update! Take Care.
Thanks mate 👍
Fully understand where you are coming from and 100% it is a hobby not a job. I paint when I feel like it and currently, as real life is busy, just knocking out a Deadman's Hand figure as feel like I have completed something. Rather than just doing one out of 24 Penninsula British figures I need for Sharp Practice :)
Thanks mate 👍
