I've been doing solo for the past couple years. I think it comes down to not playing against yourself. I try to pick a few traits that would make the opposing commander act differently from how I would act (more aggressive or cautious, etc). Otherwise, both of your forces look great. Are you going to make the Germans hidden, your British are deployed first by you, then you draw a German dice, or maybe a chit with what the German unit is then you role a dice to see where they are placed using a small map of the terrain with numbers corresponding with a place on the table so you could be facing anything??

There are a set of like a.i cards that choose your opponent actions for you, I think green dragon games does them??
