Remmys final session.....
After many months and much effort to help this horse, Remmy is heading home with her owner and after one more lesson. Enjoy a fun music video with Remmy's Song and a nice interview to wrap things up with Devan. Thanks for all the support along the way and stay tuned for more horses that come through our training program for help.

Bravo! I am an English rider but also learn a tremendous amount from some great western minds, too. I had an awesome mentor years ago who introduced me to the Dorrance brothers & Ray Hunt. The mention of Walter Zettl made me smile & I even heard his voice in my head. He was a wonderful trainer with amazing empathy & knowledge. I love cross training & an openess to absorbing quality info from a variety of people.

This dude is a dipsh*t with that nose training I don't care about the end result it's just a very ignorant part of his training, he can train a horse but his horsemanship is lacking, This guy learned this trash from someone and now he knows no other way.

Spurs are Not for early training they are a tool for refining the horse and your seat. Once you can be light without Spurs is the time to use Spurs, spurs are a tool to give very clear Q's while letting the rider be very quiet and light. This is how I use them, But what do I know right. The reason people don't like Bits and Spurs is a good reason, they have seen many equestrians abuse the sh*t out of them. Jerking on the mouth over and over, kicking the crap out of the horse with spurs over and over. There is a reason why many people have a problem with them. I can show you 50k video right now of this abuse going on. So stop pretending like the criticism is not justified it is. Now if you are not an abusive trash bag you should not have to worry right. You can tell you have a lot of hate and anger when you speak of criticism of bits and spurs. This tells me you have abused them at some point. I use them, I have no problem I don't use it's that often I don't need to for the past 5 years I still use spurs and bits sometimes. but I use them as a tool when the horse is ready. I never used them as pain devices even though that was their original design. Today they are best for refinement tools. Spurs and Bits were created before modern horsemanship these tools were created for cowboys who had no clue how to train horses, so they forced them into submission with ropes tie downs, Bits, and Spurs. then got on and rode them to death or submission. This was the human way. This is a historical fact. We did not know better at the time, but today how we break horses and train is 100% different from back them. Humanity learns and we have learned more about horses in the past 100 years than 1000 before that. However, even today there are still many who abuse the crap out of horses and call it training. So people are critical of the pain tools used.

This was how i got my two year old to really give as a yearling, I ponied him around! I took a stick and string and helped him figure it out by letting the string fall on his rear when he set back. It made a huge difference... I've gone so far as to play with trying to get him to pull back on cross ties since then. He's doing fantastic with it, i trust him to stand tied better than any other horse i know.
