Spacepunk Survival looks really cool _except_ it’s too damn dark.

So, i came back, as promised, and wrote down the titles that stood out to me. I am surprised to find so many, as usually it's between 0 and 1. But 13 of them??!! So here are the most atmospheric, no-nonsense dark-themed FPS: 11:25 - Hexborn - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -roguelike or not, such a fine quality retro-art-direction in an FPS - is a rare diamond) 32:53 - Deepest Fear - - - - - - - - - - - -can't go wrong with a horror-action FPS taking place in an underwater complex. 52:00 - Lonely space - - - - - System Shock 2 roots run deep, and all that grows strong from them - is more than welcomed. 54:15 - Divine Frequency - - - - - - too much potential to skip, despite meager first impression from the demo. 58:55 - Painted in Blood - - - - - 'Undying' on eldritch steroids and with all new kickass guns. A must try. 1:00:22 - Beneath - - - - - - - underwater again we go, in another promising dark atmospheric FPS. Tom Hansen, have a hug. 1:07:23 - Blast Judgement - - - - - an honorary entry on the list: if McGee's Alice's son made an FPS game, - that could be it. 1:11:23 - Gloomwood: The Hive Update - - - - - - - - - - - More and better Gloomwood?! Bring it on! 1:18:32 - Paramelancholia - - - - - - of course!!! GZDoom didn't have a project of such level of effort+creativity since forever. 1:26:04 - Blood West: Dead Man's Promise - - - - - - - - - - - - - - is the sky blue? Duh🤣 1:31:32 - Kook - - - - - - - - - -Gloomwood Jr? or M.C. Escher made and FPS? Either way, Garrett approves what we see so far. 1:32:25 - Desecrators - - - - - - - It's about time some good old 6DoF action has joined the party! Let's go 90's! 1:33:25 - Total Chaos - - - - - - - A mod-brat to crush AAA industry under the iron boot. May effort, passion and skill prevail!!! Won't be mentioning Trenchfoot, cause it's old news, otherwise still in development.

Zlim, i got to hand it to you: you have outclassed even yourself. The 'Khazan' presentation is nearly perfection. (I might even try it at some point) But i mainly wrote the comment to point just that. And i was very glad to be greeted with "SUPER WELCOME!". I don't know what it is, but it is a banger of an opening for any video, - when done right with genuine sincerity and a little of heroic bravado, mixed with some fragments of magic - both the mythic kind and IRL, the effect reaches you on so many levels. At least it does to me. Because in real life, we don't have things like that happening. So it creates a dimensional gate, similar to the one i walked through when i have stepped into the arcades for the first time, back in the early nineties. P.S. it should have been "M" on the "demo disc" covers, not "T". Because, as Zlimbratski has said, "we don't need to cuddle in videogames..."🤣That was some Conan O'Brien type epic shit.👍🤘

Roguelike or not, - Darkblade Ascent has convinced me to try it. If that runs on my machine, that is (cause all of my hardware is tailored toward retro-games). That will be the first time, if it does. Even though the game concept sounds to me like drinking tea, spitting it back into the cup and then drinking it again🤣. Nonetheless, if there is one thing that i usually can't say 'no' to - it's this art-direction. There are many ways to break it, but only one way to make it. And when it's done right - it's done right. So we'll see how that one goes!

I really enjoyed watching Big Helmet Heroes during the stream! I hope it has couch coop and not just online coop!Peripeteia! Looks damn fantastic! Like the love child of Deus Ex/Systemshock,Nomad Soul and a little bit of Unreal! I like 2d Sidescroll Run and Guns! Metal Suits will definitely be on my list! Guns of Fury! MetalSlug meets Metroid! Bring it on! this is exactly to my taste!

Looks good! Free for Amazon Prime subscribers right now, but I worry that the inventory management will make me put the game on an indefinite hold in the middle when I run out of space, as has happened with many a large RPG.

Some neat games, though I imagine most of them probably aren't coming to console; at least not any time soon. There is one thing about the indie game scene I don't like though, and that's the impossible amount of clones and copycats. Whenever a big hit comes out, it feels like almost every dev and their dog begins to pump out clones of that game. In this case it's the Survivors style game, which I have zero interest in and now I can't stop tripping over them everywhere I go. I'm glad people who like it have options, but this always is a little annoying to me.

By far the most brutal game this year has been Hello kitty island adventure.

1:20 It's pretty realistic but given that nowadays we have things like Half Sword (or examina), is not even close in realism. if you want the most realistic sword fighting mechanics Half Sword is the best there is for now.

I loved Kingdom Come on the PS4!! One of the few games I watched all cutscenes, listened to all dialogues and just enjoyed washing myself and putting on appropriate clothing depending on the situation! I .. might have to play this second one And .. Cyber Poland.. I need it, atmosphere is absolutely amazing, I lived in the demo without playing it, just hanging around in the start soaking in the ambient -I knew I had to play it at release Great video man! I hope in Space Punk the enemies have rotational sprites. Any retro shooter that only gives them 1 facing direction I avoid because it looks terrible.
