Hey there! My name is Jimmy and I live in Sweden.
Yeah I like to eat meatballs but I also fancy Indie games quite a lot with an emphasis on the violent and atmospheric kind. I also like to dig out the hidden gems, show them to you and support the indie scene all while making the most entertaining videos this planet has ever seen. (or maybe not)

What even happened here?
You blacked out, welcome back
Ooo That healthpack sound effect is an FPSC sound 💌
This game looks extremely charming, gotta try it out soon
Lordy, that translation is what's truly brutal here XD
Also, love how you bought a soldier at the end, assumed it did nothing, then noticed the soldier and said they spawned out of nowhere before driving off lol
OOOOOHHHH that's buying soldiers haha with no explanation I didn't understand that it was that lol
@@ZlimBratSki I just figured because of the people haha
@@Alexalicious You do be smart
@@ZlimBratSki >:3
'The shotgun is clogged' is one of the most distressing things I've ever read in a game.
hahaha
Jank Simulator '19. Looks like a crazy Half-Life 2 from an alternate dimension. I do love a game with a strange world and weird characters so I'll probably try this out for myself. Always interesting to look back on a developer's older work and see how they have grown in their skills and ideas.
Yeah this is exactly what made me play this :D
This goes to show how Vladik Brutal was a huge step up for him compared to his older projects.
Oh yeah for sure!
8:36 i remember that awful noise when i first played it, it killed my ears and i ran away in fear
hahaha yeah it's really something lol
I think that looks great
A part from the game breaking bugs :D
Considering vladik was entirely made by one person from the models, map designs and other aspects. I had fun playing this.
Yeah, I played better solo developed games for sure. Like Vladik Brutal. I mean we all have to start somewhere but this is pretty bad :p
Vladik Brutal is half life russin version ....Vladik keep up good work
Yeap :D
Literal geniuses....but the neighborhood is pretty well done. That is what I like about Slavic games....I mean look at the Chernobyl series.....the levels are still more than presentable. Or Metro or Vladik brutal 🙂 These devs might not show much inclination to proof read texts but there is really a distinct taste to this soviet style apartments and blocks of flats surrounding you. (it is an interesting topic actually. I just learned about the architects of the system during the bolshevik era and it was mentioned that it is a deliberate attempt to make the individual feel small and meaningless.....just like an ant in an ant-maze).
Yeah I like it but some parts and areas of the game seem almost forgotten, like putting to layers of wallpaper on walls with a huge space in between them :P
Unfortunately, it was auto-translated by a computer. So, as expected, this garbage came out.
The original text was fine. Same thing happens when actors in hollywood speak other languages
than English. Some can pull off Spanish or French, but when it comes to things like Chinese, Japanese,
Russian (or anything else East European, Middle Eastern or Asian) - it sounds exactly like the text
in this game. Just look at the deplorable john wick (john-weak).
Worth it for the translations alone.
For sure 😁 Good laughs for $1,50
😂😂 I added this and the devs other old game awhile back but I knew they'd be like this 😂 thanks for the weird little showcase Zlim
Most accurate Russia simulator
Hooooo boy. When you concentrate on the jank instead of the game. My first game would probably look exactly like this.
Hahaha 😁
Speaking of Vlads, have you ever played Team Fortress 2?
I have, back in the day :)
Half-Pife!
😂😂
Looks like if stalker devs tried to make half life 2
loool xD
Владик юморист, сейчас конечно не так в России, так было 30 лет назад, но кто знает....
I was played Cruel and theres an enemy that looks pretty much like you lol.
I habe that guy as my thumbnail on my cruel video ;)
Try vampire survivor next
I played the crap out of that already ;)
Just to be fair to the dev, - he did not write this nonsense. What he wrote - was perfectly fine, in russian.
However, he clearly doesn't know any english, so he auto-translated the whole thing through some sort
of dubious program (like google🤣). There is a lot of evidence in the way that the nonsense is structured,
which points undeniably to the fact that it was robot-translated. And not by the likes of T-1000, but the
kind that unsuccessfully rolls around the floor in some houses. To exacerbate the situation, the developer
also used slang terms (robots simply retype these in a phonetic approximation, they don't translate it),
so the whole thing makes even less sense than the poem that the White Rabbit read at the trial.
What the dev originally wrote, was legit, rest assured. Chat GPT (or whatever) - screwed it up.
Translated or not, there is still proof reading :D I mean there is a degree of ok this is bad english, and then this is almost not understandable at all lol
@@ZlimBratSki You're missing the point, Zlim. It was proof-read, when i t was in russian.
Once things moved to english - it was completely out of their hands. In order to proof-read
english - you need to know english on a level high enough to proof-read. And if you actually
do know english on a level high enough to proof-read - then you would never be using
machine translation in the first place. It's a locked circle, and the only exit from it - is hiring
someone who knows the language in question on a sufficiently high level. That implies
spending additional money, time and effort, which is something people do very reluctantly
even when they can afford it. Even in hollywood - exactly the same blunder happens all the
time with the languages that are far away from english.
@HexenStar But thats what I mean there is a difference. You could literally have asked a player to proof read it to get it to a much higher quality and understandable level without turning it into a pro level text. Alot of the text here is hard to even understand which is not much effort to fix.
@@ZlimBratSki Not quite. There is one key detail i forgot to mention: the proof-reader must know well
BOTH languages: the one that the text is being translated to, and the one that it is being translated
from. Because of three reasons: first, you want to know exactly what the original writer had to say, so
that you can better translate the writing. Two - high level knowledge of both languages enables you to
spot mistakes in translation that are characteristic of that specific dual-language scenario, as well as
understand them and be able to explain them too. Finally, three - even more important: COMMUNICATION.
If your client/writer knows zero english, while you know nothing of his language - then how you're going to communicate and find out what does he want to write/say?
On the subject of just "asking anyone" - i am afraid it's not as simple as that. Asking anyone can work only
when your command of the intended language is already high enough to successfully convey the meaning
to that individual. This condition goes up even higher in requirements, when you want to translate more
complex (or more specific) texts. When the original writer's command of the second language is ZERO -
then they don't have a choice. Just imagine that you have to translate swedish to tagalog, all by yourself...
Machine offers an effort-free solution. He knew it would be not ideal, but he couldn't have imagined that
it would be that bad, because he only knew one language - his own.
I am speaking on this subject from some experience, as i have done proof-reading and more. Far not everyone
will agree to do it (cause it's work, duh, and it requires skills), let alone for free. But i did (and for free too, cause
i genuinely wanted to help). That doesn't always work well, money or no money. With some people it did, while
others were too proud or stubborn to admit that they've written complete garbage (in english) and take correction/rewriting. But it is not the case here.
10/10 game, for $1.50 ive seen worse lol
Haha yeah I've seen worse as well, but this comes dangerously close to unplayable with a ton for game breaking bugs :(
🤣Especially in the dark corners of Itch IO...
vladik brutal he are in comparison from vladik yes a AAAA game!* 😉
Vladik Brutal is in comparison to Vladik almost a AAA game!
*(I can't really complain my written english isn't much better!)
hahaha I see exactly what you did there sneaky kankie :D
KNAKIE
idk how much you paid for this janky half life mod, but you got scammed broski 😂😂
