Don't miss the Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers
Looking for a video by a real fan of the Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers?! I couldn't find one so I made this little tribute to one of my favorite 80s animated tv shows. I did not cover toys but I did correct some of the misinformation I found in other videos. I hope this brings back fond memories or introduces you to this great show.

The BABAU DEMON ( Dungeons & Dragons demon lore)
I like my cult of pathfinder. Like is D&D 3.75 and fixes everything about 3.5e which makes the ultimate Edition!
I was wondering where you were going with this. Well said.
I rolled a 20 when I got my parents. Mom is an avid art, architecture, and travel junkie. We went all over Europe before I was 12 years old. When I was 11, I picked up D&D during Dad's sabbatical, and that year was split between Chapel Hill, and Strasbourg France, which helped to cultivate the love of medievalism. During the Satanic Panic, my parents expressed some concern, and Dad asked if he could watch us game. He did so for an hour and walked away, saying something like "Creative fun, The worst that could happen is that the boys could pick up some probability theory by mistake". Punchline? When this occurred in 1983, Dad was the most celebrated probability theorist and Chair of the Michigan State University (Where J. Dallas Egbert was) Department of Statistics and Probability. This is what let us grow up all over Europe and Asia as kids.
I succeed because of my brilliant parents, to include Professor Atma Mandrekar (1939-2021)
I remember when you posted the long version---you really nailed it with the "not-so-scandalous scandals." There is very little WOTC has done that will ever effect the way I play since I play a smashed up version of first and second edition. That said, it seems like the 2024 DMG might actually be worth a read, so I'll wait for it to hit second hand book stores. For new people wanting to get into the game, I usually recommend Shadowdark or Castles and Crusades.
LOL! I love this 😂
you look so good
I just saw when you posted this... Why did I get a notification so late? UA-cam feed Atens algorithm.
I got the notification on my phone. Absolutely thought it was a full video. Lol. Keep the content coming
I love it. Embrace the parts you enjoy, ignore the rest. 100%
Okay at first I wasn't sure about these shorts but they are pretty good. Also Moldvay B/X is the best edition of D&D and that's not rage bait. Spitting facts.
Preaching to the choir. I really dislike how things on the internet always spiral into weird echo chambers about bullshit. Reminds me of the Bill Hicks bit about the news screaming the world is ending and he looks out the window to cricket noises. *Eyes roll into the back of my head*
Hey just an FYI, these short videos are absolutely working with the algorithm. You’re showing up top of my feed regularly now. I ignore all the drama anyway. Even if DnD exploded it’s not like I can’t go play OSE, Forbidden Lands, Battletech, Shadowrun, Fantasy Trip, Crown & Skull, Shadowdark Or any of the, you know, billion other game systems out there.
I tell new GMs to look for dungeon crawls. I find they are great for GMs to learn with. You get to overcome missing players, overpowered characters, and it is not taxing to prep each session. Then, move on to a short module and let people feel out their characters and play style. Build up your GM muscles.
Dungeon crawls definitely lighten my work load. I played the hell out of the sample dungeon in Holmes basic when I was first learning.
@welovettrpgs it is step one in learning. And we have gotten away from them recently.
We're hitting levels of vocal eye-rolling never thought possible, 😂.
comedy gold
This is one of very few channels, I watch videos with 'scandal' in the title, VERY few. Because I know for certain, that it's not the usual clickbait. P.S.: After watching the video: How much for one slightly tainted soul? Serious offers only please.
Cause I'm mocking the channels that actually do them? :)
@@welovettrpgs <palpatine voice> I have forseen it.
D&D is like a salad bar...you take what you want and leave the rest...
and use the sneezeguard
@@welovettrpgs And the tongs
DND is like a cafeteria in that way. It is comparison I heard. I heard of cafeteria Christians. These guys pick and choose which parts of Christian doctrine to follow. This is kind of weird, and it is criticized. However I like that idea. I would like to ignore the nastiest parts and focus on the nice parts where Jesus teaches about love, peace and charity. DND can very much be the same way. The DM can do whatever they want, especially if they are into homebrew. I love homebrew. That is the main example of cafeteria DND.
A great anology
I keep telling people that there's several reasons I play 3.5e. It's what myself and my party enjoy. I already own a bunch of the books so I don't have to buy anything. I'm creative enough to keep making new scenarios so it's not just the same old thing over and over. I can incorporate any new things relatively easily as the mechanics exist for me to create new creatures and items(I actually enjoy that part almost as much as playing). I don't care if WotC goes bankrupt, it won't affect my table at all. It sucks to see something you like go a bad direction but it doesn't change what we've already experienced. Don't like the new 2024 stuff? Don't use it! Feel like a certain rule doesn't make sense? Discuss it with the group and come up with something better. Feel like trying a new system? Give it a try! Want to play the old systems cause that is what you enjoy? Go for it!
@@graywolfdracon I'm a 3.5 type myself. The versatility & customizable aspects of the D20 system are the tinkering game master's dream. There is an absurd amount of material available for the D20 system & it's easy to incorporate most rules from other editions of D&D.
Yes have fun ignore WotC if feel like it
And ignore other ragebaiters

This is very true & a good evaluation of how to get people started
I liked how the d6 Star Wars tied in with many of the novels and comics that were around then. Especially the Zahn and Daley books. Almost sold all my WEG stuff but changed my mind.
The Jedi Academy trilogy was my favorite! It's nice to see some of that being introduced through Mandoverse.
There are definitely games you can't play without making it problematic, but I don't think any of them are any good otherwise. Like, you don't play FATAL not because it's offensive to pretty much everyone, you don't play it because... It's fricking FATAL, who in the world wants to play *that*?
Very true
Gary literally said genocide was lawful good.
This is high level analysis. That would make traps a much more integrated and rational part of the game. I'm not even running 5e, but your point about traps using 5e style stat blocks and conditions like prone kind of make me want to give it another try.
Full video here: ua-cam.com/video/A7tx9V-8-JA/v-deo.html
Never knew about Classified. Love the Q manual, but found it funny they have art for a Chevy van but not for some of the exotic cars. Also the ISBN of the core book ends in 007. The one that came in the box set has no ISBN, but the stand alone did.
I absolutely 100% agree with this. Whenever our DnD session doesn't have enough players, we play the masquerade or deltagreen. It's gotten me to even look forward to people not showing up. Best running gag in deltagreen is to have my bonds be "Wife" and "Girlfriend". It's a fun as hell game and part of it is you know the characters are going to die 90% of the time just because you screwed up a roll, so you start just having fun with it.
We need more "problematic" media imho, as media with no issues would be bland and hard to watch.
That game has a wonderful chase mechanic.
I highlight that in the long form video.
Hi there professor robotnik
Why are all the cool TTRPG people from america?
We've got to have something going for us.
@welovettrpgs Cause we recently started a TTRPG and LARP club and still looking for people to work together, but it's in Austria (Europe)
@@IneiTheDark I so wish I was in Europe! I love France, Spain and Greece in particular.
Who are the sensitive people
Depending on which political tribe somebody belongs to they'll blame the other side but the fact is that partisan bullshit is intellectually dishonest and factually incorrect. There's plenty of blame to go around over the past five decades.
woot! Welcome back!
It is amazing that this has to be said. It used to be easily understood but now? We are cooked.
It is indeed a tragedy that this needs to be said.
I love old white wolf stuff. Definitely "problematic". But i still pove them. If you ask me, it only adds to the horror of dealing with inhuman monsters that carry antiquated or monaterous ideals.
He looks like the guy when i enter his room. He's sitting in a chrome colored chair, slowly spinning and holding a cat, and offering me to surrender or face the lasers
Sharks with frickin' laser beams attached to their heads!
And at the end of your adventure he has a classic bond villain death where he falls into a tank of sharks. His response makes so much sense
Offer the cat some treats.
@@Darkwintre +1000 XP!
Idk how to describe it... But Sheogorath if he wasn't weird💀
It might suprise people to learn there are more instances to old media other than "I can't watch it because it's problematic" and "I'm fine with it because I ignore what's problematic"
As a good friend - college professor - says, "Over sensitivity today is a big an issue as lack of sensitivity in the past."
I love your mustache, your outfit kinda reminds me of someone from the hunger games
Good sir you look majestic
That's very kind of you to say
Some media knows it's "problematic" from the get go, it's being edgy because controversy drums up interest.
@@SerunaXI I like edgy stuff sue me
Playing more games only helps learn what’s goes into making a game fun. Steal from everything!
Even steal the brainstorming ideas of your players. Just dont let them know.
And if you can steal their idea mid session it has the added bonus of making them feel clever when in reality they just had a better idea than you had planned
@@BlackpetalStudio 100% Bak in the 90s I regularly created traps and encounters in which I never even put a single thought into how it might be solved because I knew my players would come up with something far better than I could.
