    I had a 2007 Ford F-150, and the truck was running fine then all of a sudden it started hesitating to pick up speed. Then it started sounding like a diesel engine before shutting down on the road. So, before working I received multiple error codes P0300 Detected Random Misfire, P0303 Misfire Cylinder #3; P0305 Misfire Cylinder #5; P0316 Misfire Detected at start (First 1000 Revolutions), P0340 Camshaft Position Sensors, P0345 Cylinder ID Circuit Bank#2, and _0349 Cylinder ID Circuit Intermitted Bank #2. So, first step changed camshaft positions sensors. Then crank but no start. Already previously change all coil packs and sparkplugs about 4 months ago. So due to sake of time and leaving for vacation towed to Ford Dealership. Returned from vacation to Fords response " Your timing is off, and you need a new engine" No dang kidding, exactly want he told me. So, I asked him if the timing was off why not adjust the timing belt. It doesn't make sense to me to purchase an engine because engine timing is off. So, low and behold I towed my truck out of Ford to another repair shop (AYT) around the corner 2 miles. The technician called me within 2 hours. He told me first thing your truck is extremely low on oil and your fuel pump is bad and needed to be replaced. He asked when the last time was, I had oil in the truck. I told him the last time the same Ford dealership changed it about 5 months ago approximately 4700 miles. He had to put in 6 quarts of oil to bring it back to level. Now, his honest comment was he was concerned about charging me to replace the fuel pump with the truck not having oil which may have caused some engine damage. There was no guarantee, but it's my option and he wouldn't feel good about me losing the money. So, he recommended either parting out the truck or trade in. Now back to Ford dealership, the mechanic didn't mention anything about low oil, fuel pump or anything else other than timing is bad and you need a new engine for $11K. I laughed so hard like dude get real. To the end, after watching several Crank but no Start videos "Replaced Fuel Pump Driver Module" and damn truck started right up. My day was not good and already started looking for a newer F-150! Thanks to all who keep posting resolutions like this one! Was almost Found On Road Dead with only 149K miles.....

    Tightening the nut defeats the purpose of the bearing. Put a nylon insert nut on top, or just hammer the nut a tiny bit oblong, so it stays on there without being tightened down.. Thread locker would work too. The top nut serves no purpose other than keeping mud out of there.

    • @StilesAutomotive
      @StilesAutomotive 29 днів тому

      Bill, yep you have to make space for the Bearing. Nylon Nuts are normally taller, you have to find a short one, but yes that would work. Thanks for the comment! - Stiles

  • @EarlGuyton425
    @EarlGuyton425 Місяць тому

    All wrong. Back lash between the ring gear and pinion isnt the only thing to check. You also check for pinion in and out play and make sure the nut is tightened to where there is no in and out play, then only tighten maybe a quarter turn on the nut. Plus, you should only use a ratchet with the socket so you can feel and see how far until the flange touches the bearing inner washer. Your job may get lucky, but its done wrong

    • @StilesAutomotive
      @StilesAutomotive Місяць тому

      @@StilesAutomotive Puts the rear end back the way it was???? Thats retarded, to ASSUME it was correct as it was before. Also it is stupid to mark where the drive shaft was bolted to the differential pinion flange, BEING the drive shaft is balanced within itself and was never balanced with the differential at all. The drive shaft is balanced in where regardless if you bolt it back on a complete half turn from where it was cannot make any difference at all. Why do people justify being retarded?

      Kaye, U-Tube does this to me sometimes too! I got 2 of the same comment from you. I replied: " Kaye, Yes, All for are the same Wheel, same size and part number. " - Stiles

    it's so weird because i still associate Eureka! brand with being cheap junk 😂 i guess things changed lol

      DarkMeta, I'm with you! I always thought the same thing, but this shouldn't really change your mind. Allow me to explain, this is a great tent, I love it. But, this tent is made to a Military Specification and has to meet the requirements to be sold to the Military. You or I can sell stuff to the Dept. of Defense as long as we meet the requirements. I don't know may be Eureka is doing better with their Civilian Tent also. I appreciate the comment! - Stiles

    I just watched this video and it really helped me out. I have this model cub cadet. It's been my back up garden tractor for 5 years. But I haven't needed it for 5 years. Now i do and it needs some work. How do I clear the carburetor or replace it? I would appreciate a video on this. Also I know i should put new air filter and spark plug. Is there a way to drain the gas. I don't think there's much it in. Clearly I need help. Anything you can suggest would be helpful.

    This is the easiest to understand deck install video that I've seen, yet. Thank you. I have a problem though, hope you can help. I removed the deck from my 16yo gt2550. When i went to put it back on, the height lever, still in the highest position, is stuck. The button depresses, but that lever is jammed tight. Also, and probably related, is that those black levers that the pins go in won't move up or down, either. I have no clue as to what or where?! I'm grateful for any suggestions.

      Cathy, It sounds your cable (or cables) got messed up, twisted or something. This hasn't happened on my Tractor, but without the Deck attached you need to help the levers move underneath where they attach to the Deck. - Stiles

    A very good video review and explanation. Thank you. There are two color options available: asphalt gray and bright orange. Is there a specific reason you prefer the gray?

    • @StilesAutomotive
      @StilesAutomotive Місяць тому

      Ariek, Color is simply a preference. As a Military Guy, I think, when in the woods be subdued. That's the only reason I like the gray better. You are welcome and I appreciate the feedback! - Stiles
