Great video! None of the X3D-chips are available where I live right now. The 9800x3d (backorder) is 600 usd and the 9700x is available at 380 usd. Will the latter suffice for streets in 4k? 30CL 6000 mhz RAM.

I need some help… I paired the amd Ryzen 7 5700x3d with the asrock b550m itx-ac and the pc powers on, gpu turns on, but no fan spin up, and no display. Any tips?

Built my new rig last week with a 9800x3d and 4080 Super, playing on ultrawide 1440p I can somehow maintain > 100fps in Streets without using DLSS - I was absolutely shocked to see the performance. This build is sticking around for a long time!

Great video and tests! I may not play Tarkov but know how impressive this is, for both cpus actually. If you happen to have some lower spec cards, 6700xt, 3070, 6800xt, 3080 etc "even down to the 3060 or 5700xt this comparison could be huge for the average player who have those cards to see what they could get off of a cpu upgrade alone "especially hopping from earlier non x3d am4 cards to the 5700x3d....Noted since those who have done similar tests have gotten a ton of hits and I think you could put together a great set of videos in a way most don't by using the 4090 as the standard for frame tests. Some have no idea just how much of a gain they could snag for $175-200 usd in the 5700x3d or some like a guy today who said he was buying and pairing a 4090 with his 3900x. Said he couldn't afford a cpu upgrade and I advised him that on an am5 x3d with his 3080 could net a lot more frames per $ than jumping from his 3080 to 4090 then being bottlenecked.

i still have a i9 12900k and 3080ti, however i downloaded a DLSS 3 mod so i can turn on frame gen for nvidia and it made a HUGE difference, all epic settings and im getting 120-160 fps on 2k with no stutters (edit: i actually turned shadows down to medium and have dlss on quality as well)

This is good new, I've got 1 on the way. Package deal w/700x3D and Corsair Vengeance DR4 3200 Dual channel 32 kit.

so i did all of this and now my tarkov is using like 28gb of ram. it never did that before.. what do i do?

Despite having used AMD processors for around 25 years, a few years ago I went from a Ryzen 5 1600X to an i7-10700K and my jaw dropped when I saw the leap in performance I achieved in Skyrim. It even seemed like I had updated my graphics card at the time, a GTX 1080Ti. Now with an RTX 4090 and an i7-1270K, I'm upgrading the processor to a 9800X3D and my fear was precisely the performance at the lowest 0.1% FPS. This video came to dispel these fears of mine.

Did this run good for you? I tried it and it had HORRIBLE input lag... and then it would just keep going down to like 10 fps.. It just ran like trash for me

I built a 7800x3d 4070ti a few months back. Got everything for a really good price so I’m not salty about the 9800x3d’s release. My friend has been on am4 for almost 2 years and has been planning on maxing out his build with a 5800x3d and 4080/90 until recently when the CPU’s shot up in price. He’s since settled on a 5700x3d and 4070 super for half the cost and I think he made a great choice. He’s upgrading tonight from a 3700x/3060ti build. Looking forward to seeing the improvements.

I switched from 3700x to 5800x3d and gtx 1080 non ti to rtx 4080 and change was night and day. I shouldn't need to upgrade until at least the next platform change.

Hi. I have a 9800x3d ,64gb ram 6000 cl30 and a 4070s. I mostly play PVE right now. Is it normal to have bad fps on Lighthouse? On streets I have around 150fps. On lighthouse always below 100. sometimes the frames drop to 50-60. thats annoying

I want to upgrade from 3600 to 5700x3d. You say the cooler from the 3600 ( same as in video ) will do the job? Can someone recommend some buck/value cooler if thats bit tight or should I just go with a really good cooling paste?

How would this build hold up for 4K gaming ?

That's INSANE. Before these new CPU's, I was thinking "Well, I could go with one of the 5000 series X3D chips, since for the rest of my system, I wasn't leaving as much on the table with a mid-range GPU." But now... This thing is just so far ahead it's hard to justify much else. I'd love to wait for the Unity update though to see if that improves things and see where things fall afterwards.

Now thats a good temperature, compared to my 7 7800x3d battlefield 2042 summer 68°-73° and winter 64°-68°, i wish that the 7 9800x3d cpu came sooner 😔.
