@@pyurologie at least smoler gpu can run in an itx with an X3D quite well on air :) like the 7800xt or the 4070 options these days. Saw your 2080ti stream cut around it the thermals on some of these cards are just scary these days definitely a re-paste or some thermal pads. Possibly an undervolt the FE cards when i had my 3070FE from a 2080ti strix felt better with an uv...lost a little off the top fps wise but the stock fan curve and 0rpm profile was nice to have. Idk if i would have considered something beefier in itx at least then. These days with the lower temperament of the X3D clock activity, And a good CPF/PPW gpu itx being 1440p+ viable on air is pretty nice to see as a possibility these days while seeing efficiency load/range cycles on an sfx psu too from a thermals/noise standpoint. Once i get an oled monitor im going to get back into some EFT raids.

It will finally be the time to actually be able to play EFT on 21:9 to the fullest extent of VRR/image quality and response time-hz. This next wipe has me hyped bc of this upgrade to the setup XD. Ive seen some 38" but they have some aggressive curves to them. At least the 34" range has better ppi and curve/range options.

@@edjonhadley1 if you can afford a system that can push VRR/OLED panels nows the time IMO, It has better GTG than ips for shooters, and better uniformity/clarity than ips. Scaling or fsr/dlss is only going to make things better from an openworld/competitive shooter standpoint imo. Bc of those added fps and changes to input latency. oled helps polish the fact that some of these titles/maximized advantage scenarios arent native resolution/rendered. Otherwise for any PVE/AAA title VRR potential-oled and the speed for other titles/multiplayer makes "now" the time to ever really/actually invest in a 4k or 21:9 capable gpu imo.

Yeah I play on a 48" lgcx at 4096x2160(fsr2 quality sometimes) with close to maxed settings and it is just a different experience to what most get to have... Ironically I still cant spot people for sh*t at times LMAO. And yeah those gpu temps have to be causing performance loss to some degree I would assume.

I always forget how crazy high temps are on the 30 series cards. My 4080 runs at half the temp my 3090 did.

4k gaming is hella underrated, can never go back down to 1440
I play in 768p, but I'll soon switch to 1440, I think it will be great
1440p is the sweet spot for high refresh rate gaming and still get that crisp quality but 4k is nice too
