This is simple and pretty straight forward, all you need on a C10 to install center caps with the plastic lock nuts is: Center Cap Lock Nuts 1/2-20 External thread lug nuts and done...... I did a google search and looked over some forums to find out what all I needed, but there wasn't much info. I knew what size lug nuts I needed and found some on Ebay from lugnutking. Fit great and now these C...
Runaway Campers Tour
Переглядів 71 тис.7 років тому
Made a trip down to Ocala, FL to look at the Runaway Campers sold by a small company there. They claim to be the most affordable in the business and with a price starting under 3k for an air conditioned 4x8 tear drop style camper they aren't bluffing. They seemed high quality and designed well. I plan on getting one in the near future to pull behind the Cherokee and wanted to check them out pri...

Bad ass truck!!!!
As men, we can make our own sheeeeeit.
LQ9’s rock…i have a 11.15:1 compression LS3 headed 370” LQ9 in my nova with a 2.45” pullied LSA supercharger and 220/230 cam with a built 4l65e and 3.42 posi…its a blast to drive but im building a 408 to put in it that way i can put the 370” LQ9 into my vortech supercharged 5.3 swb fleet ‘73 c10
Man that is a beautiful truck…..nice build…i have a similar one but white and its a ‘73 with a vortech supercharged 5.3……i like that seat idea…i might have to look into doing that……mine has a terminator X system with a 220/220 cam , 3000 stalled th350 with 12 bolt 3.73 rear….it scoots….i have a 370” LQ9 that im gonna put in there once i finish building my 408 to replace the 370” thats in my nova…its a 11.15:1 compression LSA supercharged motor and it runs like hell!!!
What year suburban did you take that seat out of??
Around 2014
That’s a wonderful video, i learn about more center caps from this video. I also have some center caps.
what model of black widows are on it?
Venom 250s 2.5" thru an x-pipe
That a beautiful truck mate
What body armor is that
It's just raptorliner. No body armor
@jnork5005 o OK well what did u do becuz I like it and wanna do it to my rig now haha
@@RHLAMBOFGOD I pretty much taped it off and scuffed it all with 220grot sand paper. Cleaned it up and hit it with adhesion promoter before I sprayed the bed liner. I used the raptor liner cause it comes with the spray guy and you can mix it by the quart etc. It's easy to use but you'll need a pressure regulator on your air compressor
We’re did you order those center caps??
Found "NOS" on eBay. Junk yards may have some if you can't find anything on Google.
What is back spaceing on rear wheels?
5 inches
How much i need one fro a 4×4 06 z71

what's the truck weigh in at?
I'm going off memory. I think around 4800
I love it… 👍👍👍👍👍😎
trying to find a way to get the tank to fit and still be able to bring my shocks in the frame rails and mount them straight
This setup won't work. Tank is too big. I've been contemplating a 4 link setup and I won't be able to to run this tank
@@jnork5005wonder if u can take the factory bar that runs across the back and make a solid one move it further back and weld it it’s gonna be a street/strip truck and i’m trying to get away from the saddle tank
@@seanandersen338 I moved the cross brace in the rear back as far as it would go. I'm sure you could make something more low profile but you'd only gain an inch or so. Not enough to run an ARB or behind the axle shocks. I'd suggest using a smaller tank. This one is 24 gallons.
How much would you charge to do another truck like that with a 355 instead of a ls?
It's hard to say. Depends on a lot of variables. My truck is torn down again. I'm in the process of building the turbo hot side piping and T56 swap. So it'd be awhile before I could get to it. I'm in Florida also
what mufflers? neighbor haters?
Venom 250s
swap looks good! did you have to change bumper brackets for your back bumper for it all to clear?
Beautiful truck man
Man, I really appreciate the video. Question, you mentioned you’re running the 340 high flow pump, but every GM/LS line kit listed doesn’t recommend you use a pump over 255lph. Did you go with Edelbrock or adjustable fuel regulator? Can you provide a parts list in your heading? Thanks for your help’
Do you have a part number for the straps?
Looks great
Incredible build. Super clean.
which black widow mufflers are these?
I like it!!
Hello. I know this video was posted a million years ago, but I wanted to ask; Would you mind making a set of those mounts? I'll pay you 50? Man if you could, I'd be very grateful. I was thinking if you made me a set, instead of welding em on, I would just drill a hole through them and my rack and bolt it on in six spots. If you'd be ok with that, please let me know. I'm leaving my number in a reply, below, for you to text and will take it down in a couple of days. Hopefully you'll see it on time. Thanks for your time.
This would be a way better option. When u made your rear bump stop pad, How far in did you extend the bump pad from the spring plate towns center of vehicle ? (How far does the pad stick out of the spring plate .)
About 5"
@@jnork5005 thank man ! i am about to do something similar to one of my xj and knew that i have seen this on your walk around video a long time ago.
@MrMrsregor yea man. I welded 2 pieces of 1" tube together, drilled a hole in the tube so it would lay flat on the spring plate and clear the center bolt. Then i added a piece of thick flat plate and welded it to the 1" tube. Maybe not the best way to do it but it worked flawlessly.
@@jnork5005 awesome! I’m welding mine as we speak. I probably went overkill because I used scrap laying around… I used two 3/8” x 1.25” bar with 1/4” x 2” flat on top to build a pad that looks similar to yours…. Thanks for the video, inspiration, info!
@@MrMrsregor I'm glad i could help

Nice. Can't wait to start working on mine
I know it's been a year, but I like the 17's much better on this truck. I just ordered some 17x8 with 225/60/17 rear and 215 55 17 in the front. Not sure what it will look like. Hoping for the best though
I hope you like it, homie. I'm probably going to get a drag pack for it after I finish up this 6 speed swap. 15x10 rear and 17x7 front. I like this for what it costs and it puts off an OEM vibe because of the center caps
@jnork5005 nice! I'm keeping my 15x10's for special occasions. Got some 555si's for Tucson and asr. Probably be ready for September..got lots of front end work and lowering of center of gravity coming up.
@jnork5005 and fk yeah I like it!!
Are you sure it was 2” lol
Do you think the 73-87 center caps would work?
Can't say. I don't have any experience with them. Maybe if they have a similar setup.
@@jnork5005 ok thanks. I’ll try to find the OBS Chevy caps. They’re not easy to find
@@ivorton23 they were everywhere 4-5 years ago when I got these NOS for around $60.00
@@jnork5005 I’ll keep looking. I just bought a set of those wheels for my 83 stepside. I like the look of the stock caps better than the ones these wheels come with which is why I’m copying you lol
@@ivorton23 Did you ever find some?
Dope ass truck! I'm building one myself just started! Heard you say blazer rear bumper? What year blazer? If you don't mind me asking that is.
Don't remember which year but I think any on the 81-87 should work
Super interested in what the wheel tire specs are! Beautiful truck man.
I know this is an old video but I wanna drop mine 4/6 with some 17's
@@fr3k5h0w I really don't remember what they were other than they were 17x9s. They were the Jegs or Summit Soft 8's knockoffs.
@jnork5005 it's a great looking stance! What was the drop? More I thought about it I don't want to slam it.. I'm looking to do a shackle and hanger only drop in the rear I can get 4 inches out of that mostly because I want all the travel. For the front just a 3 inch drop spindle
@fr3k5h0w it's 4/6. Spindle and cut springs up front and a flip kit in the rear. I'm running 15x8 op front and 15x10 in the rear with 275/60/15s all the way around. I have a video or 2 with that setup on my page. I like that look more
@jnork5005 oh yeah man, lots of rubber and width. I do like that as well but I don't want to lower it too much. Also don't like too much wheel gap is why I'm choosing 17's with decent meat on em. Going between a 3/4 drop with spindles/shackles and hangers Vs flip kit and spindles with lowering springs but I'd like to retain all the suspension travel. Leaning with no flip kit
What wheels are those
Which Black Widow mufflers? Also, do you have resonators?
No resonators. Black Widow venom 250s 2.5" with long tubes and an x-pipe
@@jnork5005 Sounds great! Might do similar on my 72 Nova. I have an LQ9 with LS6 heads & intake and a TSP 226 cam. Right now it has flowmaster 40s and sounds pretty good, but I want more raspiness when you rev it.
@Rickshaw that setup is almost identical to mine so you'll know what to expect
@@jnork5005 Just called Black Widow and they said the Race Venom would give me a mellow rumble down low but sound raspy like a Nascar when I get on it.
@Rickshaw sounds like what you want. Look up some sound clips on em and see if that's what you want. I was under the impression they were really loud at idle
It's an old video, but got some feedback regardless. First off, the camera work is great! You CLEARLY showed what you were doing, and from great angles. Secondly.... I HATE watching people tighten nuts with an impact wrench. There's torque specs on steering components for a reason. If you're showing people how to do it, do it right from start to finish, which means breaking out a torque wrench. I'm guessing you had zero problems regardless, but when you're teaching how to do something, teach it correctly. Aside from that, this was a great video.
This is probably my favorite interior that I’ve seen on a square body.
Simple and clean
Nice truck dude, what size of injectors you run?
Cool.
I love this truck! Nice work!
That's definitely not an LSX. Looks like an LS3.
Beautiful truck man very clean and straight you did a great job on it.
