Enjoying your channel. Epic adventure! That Mark guy is a trip to watch! Such good energy. Hopefully he starts his own UA-cam channel one day
Nice video and a bit of a circuitous route to get to Idaho. I probably would have camped by the structures if I was getting up in the morning. If rafters were coming from Lake Louise or Golden the bus ride would probably be an hour + that late in Sept, they would probably only depart for there no earlier than 8ish. But just a wild assed guess.
Love the videos!!! Can’t wait to ride to AK
your video ended with the words "thanks for watching" "peace and love". I say thanks for filming your adventures and as a pastor of a Lutheran church I conclude my messages with "I bid you peace". I thank you and I bid you peace and love as I drink my morning coffee and prepare my sermon for today. -As always greetings from Connecticut, USA.
Thank you for the amazing message 🙏🏼 peace and love.
Love that blueberry klr, what an adventure.
Great video!! I wouldn't have camped by that river either!! Great dobro music. God Bless safe ridin rubber down
Your video was truly beautiful and inspiring. As a fellow creator, I appreciate the effort you put into it. Sub and 👍57
Thank you 🙏🏼
Best post cards ever!
You’re the man Phil!!💪🏻💪🏻
You too brother Abe 🙌
Great video. I love your enthusiasm.
I appreciate that my friend.
Music is like Portishead. ua-cam.com/video/4qQyUi4zfDs/v-deo.htmlsi=3TPmfFoWm26m09k3
Great catch! The song I covered in the video (nothing burns like the cold) actually sampled part of “portishead” in their recording hence the similarity.
@MotherPanAmerica is it your music.
In bikepacking, we call those nice fellas “trail angels”. They’re the best kind of humans around. Stoked you found the issue! I had a similar problem on my old 81 CB 750, but mine was the actual in line filter the last owner put on! Haha. Little bastard got warm above the cylinders and kinked itself. After hours under an abandoned gas station awning on the Washington peninsula in the middle of the night, I was able to pull the tank, and yank that thing off after discovering it. A kind fella gave me some baling wire to noose the hell out of the over stretched fuel line on the carburetor. Ran like a champ after that. Always an adventure on the bikes! Ride safe!
Who says the KLR doesnt have passing power?!
Peace from Connecticut. I always enjoy your videos. Merry Christmas and blessings to you. If you are ever in New England I could point you to some good riding.
Thank you my friend. Merry Christmas.
At 6:50, that is the Weeping Wall which is a popular spot for ice climbing in the winter. At 7:15 is probably the most expensive fuel in all of Alberta. Great trip to follow. Lastly, while I am not sure of the intricacies of the KLR I would recommend starting it before you load it. That makes it easier to boost (depending on your wiring) and push although you were in a rather difficult area.
Good video thanks!!
Thats a Raven son. lol😁
No wonder they were so big! Haha
Sounds like you edited out several cars driving by. Doesnt seem like the middle of no where.
Sorry
Welll that sucks I subbed tho
Well done, lads!
Not good
You’re annoying. I DK what it is.
Sorry Daniel
@ I think I love you now
You, my friend gained yourself a subscriber
@@user-vg8ce5ty7s Thank you Daniel
Enjoy the walk dum dum
Poor planning on your part. I always take 2 extra liters of fuel on long trips.
You fool!
Good luck my friend, truly
I love my 2011 KLR. Same color as yours. What windshield is that? How does it work for you?
Gen 2 KLR should have more than 30 miles on the reserve. At least twice that I think but likely three times. Depending on conditions and jetting of course.
I ate my charger
myself and two other are buying our bikes together. come spring of 2025, I'm having all the bags and box, and all the stuff, I want replaced, before it rolls out the door. completely installed, including new high mileage 70/30 street tires. as it will be a 1700 mile ride home, when I buy the bike. the other guys live in NJ & I'm from Florida
"Old school" get non-scented garage bags, to put over your tee-shirt, one to keep the wind off of you, and second, to help keep your body warm if it rains., apply petroleum jelly on your waists, and hands to keep them warm (we did that while cave diving) and on your ears. warm makes for a more productive day.
now, I'm looking into buying the 25, KLR, as they are fixing a few of the items, and extending the well base. (still a 5 speed) wish they would step up to 6 gears.. even though it has a 6 gallon tank. I'll buy the Husk saddle bags with the pouches to carry extra fuel cans, & get a hard box, to lock camera's a drone up securely.
okay just saw the plastic bags on the shoes, no!!! you put them over your dry socks. (who cares if the boots get wet)
I know the KLR is a tough bike, but those rocks!! Damn.
If parks had caught you camping there they would have strung you up.
Great video! Great stealth camp spot but I imagine would be a hearty fine if got caught…can’t wait next May June
Just discovered your adventure. Subbed! Stay safe out there!
Nothing fresher than river water in the Rockies!
dont camp wear heavy rains overnight could wash you away
Hey, I'm a long time resident of Alberta (57 years) and I've traveled to and through Banff. Jasper and if I remember correctly they offer day passes (overnight) for that very reason you described about the fires, now this was a few years ago, also they may have changed it, there was also bed and breakfast places have to look at the website. I'm just at the beginning of the video so I'm sure you figured it out. nice to see someone that is new to Canada. Cheers.
great video as usual. When it ended I was disappointed. I was eager to see more of your adventure. Peace and blessings to you from a motorcycle enthusiast in Connecticut.
Thank you my friend. Peace and blessings.
no that wase not a bear track
Not unless it was wearing hooves.
Most likely Elk but for sure not bear
❤
Enjoyed the video once again… The last part with the farm was a very nice addition. It is too bad it was windy and overcast at Muncho Lake. The lake can be incredibly blue. With wildlife and road hazards, riding at night should be a last resort and not a common strategy. Of course, later in the season and up north not much you can do to make the miles.
Thanks!! I take it you’ve done some riding around muncho lake…. Very cool

Just absolutely incredible! Your videos that you share, truly keep me smiling throughout! The simplicity of the" Beast From The East" and your desire to push on and ride that KLR have made this one hell of a journey... Thanks again for sharing, all of this footage of nature @ it's best...Safe travels and great job again, of this upload!
Wow, thank you! 🙏🏼
What kind of seat does your bike have?
It is an aftermarket seat that was on the bike when I got it… I’m not sure of much outside of that.
I was starting to worry that you'd never get out of Alaska. Like being in the Twilight Zone!
Haaaaaa I was beginning to think the same
The collar on the buffalo is an electronic tracker for wildlife management to track herds. Love the video series!!
Thanks for the info 😁
