This is my favorite board game of all time. I ADORE games that are easy to learn but hard to master. And this game is one of them. It's a perfect game to play with anyone. And the "swift start" option is PERFECT for new players. My parents aren't big board gamers and they even found the game to be easy enough to understand and enjoyable. I love that every game is different from the other, and I love the theming too.

I see this game for sale everywhere now. I think even Wal mart sells it. I played it yesrs ago at a friends house, pretty sure we lost.

Wingspan is multiplayer solitaire. Interacting with other people is optional. Watching other people is useless. Waiting for your turn is a waste of time.

I like this game as a chill one. But also as a next step up from an introductory game. I have azul and settlers of catan as my introductory games for non gamers then this! Especially for girls

You sound exactly like a servant of sauron. I like the game a lot. However i dont like the fact that you need so much muster actions to get a nation at war for the free people. And it also doesn't make any sence if a nation is atacked it isn't at war.. It should only take 2 muster actions to get someone to war so this means if a shadow player enters a border and atacks it is automaticly at war it also makes the game easier for the free people.

Aside from Friday, any thoughts on other single player games like... PagodaDawn Of the Zeds, Final Girl , or RatCatcher ? Wingspan is great, but the Oceania expansion makes it amazing, the Europe and Asia expansions are also really good.

I really like Monopoly Deal, even though I can't stand regular Monopoly. It's simple enough for kids, but there is a surprising amount of strategy if you really want to dig into it. My all time favorite card game is Dutch Blitz but I prefer playing it with standard playing cards instead of the official Dutch Blitz cards. Some people also call game Nertz. Another fun, simple card game is Munchkin Loot Letter.

I would recommend getting the flight expansion! It was a blast to use flying creatures and I think this helps carnivores a bit as well, at least for newer players cause it’s a guaranteed way to make a decent carnivore straight out the gate.

Just to clarify, in Friday you're playing the character Friday who is Robinson's companion on the island and trying to keep the idiot version of Crusoe alive while preparing for nasty pirates. 😂 You must really like the theme though to have two games in the top ten.

I can't recommend Root. People who have played it enough to understand it will beat you up when you start playing Root. Don't Root root root for the home team, if they let you win it's a shame. And is very unlikely to happen.
