A small miracle has occurred, I've posted a new youtube video. In this one I talk a little about the small but important edges the Thunder have found in their roster of players. I talk a bunch about Jalen Williams, and a little about Jaylin Williams, Kenrich Williams, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Lu Dort. Among the topics I cover are how their defensive impact is an important part of the team's defensive identity. Also, I'm gonna be posting more shorts from now on so be on the lookout for those!

3 little known Chet Holmgren facts that make him a TERRIFYING prospect
Chip Engelland is the only Dukie you should like. He's been my favorite since his playing days, he used play at Oval Park in Durham with the homies while he was playing, talk about someone living the game. He's made a serious career as a Shooting Coach for over 30 years. Kudos to The Shot Dr.
David this post is a waist of time. Diddy is good at passing. That is all. His best moves are on minors
Machine Gun Chip. Loads of Filipinos knew who Chip Engelland is. He played in the Philippines.
Spurs fans know this legend.
I low key knew it coming.. I loved the pick up from the thunder they seen the greatest in him! It’s only got make this dynasty team look good for years
Steph curry should get chip as a trainer
research more. He`s a legend in the pba...
I think he's proven your optimism this season
He is the clutchest defender in the league for sure
Well he was pretty close
He actually only needs to simplify things and that will be perfect for us.
🙏🏾💙⚡️ nice vid
If not Wemby, the next frontcourt option would be with the second round pick at #35 Zach Edey, Chet, Poku, SGA, Giddey, off the bench JDub, I. Joe, Ousmane Dieng, JWill, and trade up if at twelve, trade down a few spots if lotto luck puts at three or four pick.Taylor Hendricks goes #6 to OKC.
Happy birthday chip
Listen, I was a freshman in high school and chip was a senior (Pacific palisades high school) I would watch him shoot free throws for hours, then one I got up nerves to ask him to teach me to shoot just like him, and did! In my opinion, he had a perfect jump shot.
We need a Starting Small Forward.
He’s not polarizing to Thunder fans. He’s worth 10-20 pts a game with his defense. Everybody shows game-winning shots. Dort has game-winning stops in multiple games this year. That’s the difference between being in the playoffs and not being in the playoffs.
man I really like your content, especially the synergy part or as the great sam presti said to value rhythm over pattern
I appreciate that! and yeah this team is developing some incredible synergy/chemistry from such a young age. Its definitely gonna pay off in some form!
@@HustleOnDThunderD Yeah and unlike the prev run they now have a complete roster already I'd ride with them for 2 years before any meaningful move I mean: shai, josh, jdub/will,chet,wiggs, tre, joe, kenrich, dieng, waters and dort. for me all of them shoudn't be touched (maybe diff rotation times). the only question marks for me from the above for the next 2 years are dort, kenrich and poku which I purposefully omitted. after 2 years of exp for all maybe we can refresh our roster when the only suspect are tre, waters and dort if he wasn't cut previously. plus draft picks I think we must let them show what they can do and where they need help if at all
Great insights. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
im so happy to see the thunder with such a bright future again as a lifelong okc fan it sucked when we didn't get the chip with that last great core in 2013. im lookin forward to see if shai can lead a team deep into the playoffs.
Ah, the Thunder have gone and lost to the g league hornets. Like i mentioned in the video, there were very strange lineups that contributed imo to the loss, played Jared Butler, Poku, JRE and had random, sporadic minutes here and there for many other players. Once again the Thunder come mere inches away from victory, and again i think "theyre so close, but not there yet"
We just call him the Machine Gun . One of the greatest shooters in basketball
Nice video dude. Good summary of the key points. OKC building a great base for the future. If they can use the mountain of picks and get a good run with injuries then things are going to continue on the up as this young team matures. Peace.
Thanks for the kind words!
Fire man! Seriously great video!
hey thanks! appreciate the comment!
O roceks que caga na cama pra nós, ontem levou outra coça Thunder uP
Thunder just need Chet and time to develop. Thunder have lots of future draft picks coming up, this could be the start of a dynasty
The youngest team in the NBA who has had injury problems and no actual center being inconsistent. You’re likely confused by a lot.
Lol trash takes by someone who has terrible bbiq.
what was a bad take? and no need to be rude
You have zero patience, teams have slumps… we literally just killed the rockets…..
i actually have a good amount of patience!
@@HustleOnDThunderD not much logic
Teams have slumps or bad games. Especially young teams
3:01 travel?
No
This aged well we just beat the rockets by 32😂😂
CONFUSING 🤣
@@HustleOnDThunderD yea our teams up on hood teams lose to trash teams🤣🤦🏽♂️
And 37!
I think they are still trying out lineups, and allowing juniors to experiment with the intention of improving the future, not just today.
Please don't lose to the rockets again 🤢
FACT: Chip Engelland is very well known to the Filipinos/Philippines, since he played for the Philippines (as a naturalized Filipino citizen and played for Northern Cement) against the Americans in 1985 Jones Cup. He was known for being a 3 point shooter in the Philippines.
One little improvement Shai can make that I forgot to touch on: become able to keep the dribble alive after pump faking (before actually pumping). Defenders tend to respect his shot fakes and close out on him, because he's such a clutch shooter. But he'll always pick his dribble up to pump fake, the Curry example in the video is good for this instance too, Curry's body language says shot, but his dribble is kept alive and he blows past his defender Derrick White easily on his final contest. What do y'all think? Does Shai have an MVP in him?
keep it up brotha!
will do 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Great video man, youll hit 600 in no time
appreciate that 💪🏽🤞🏽 thanks for watching!
great vid keep up the good work
thanks so much!!
So excited for OKC's future!
Same 😄 it's going to be really fun basketball!
He has had a great education with both parents been pro's.Wait to make a educated assessment at the end of his rookie contract. He will grow incrementally every yr.He be 23 & still a yr or 2 before he hits his prime,.His ahead of the game in IQ & reads already. His pace slows down time lulls defences to stop & pick them apart.Plan would be Shai & Giddey hitting 50-60 pts combined more consistently next season.
I agree that Giddey will continue to develop and become visibly better little by little every year, he's a very self aware and coachable player, he's already showing how he's learned from the beginning of the season to now, for example a couple of months ago he was over reliant on his floater, now he only uses it when needed. Not to mention his 3 point shooting continue to look much improved. I do think with JDub's arrival Giddey might not reach the 20 pt average, due to how the team is constructed in being able to attack in many different ways. If he can be around the efficient 18pt average tho I think that's looking great!
Bazley is gone
Geena Davis' long-lost relative is the real deal.
Josh giddey is currently a below average starter. Hes not a great shooter or defender and i question if he ever will be. Shai has the ball all the time so his usefulness is questionable.
I think he doesn't fit next to SGA, that's my biggest issue with him. I feel like if they traded him to a team set up for a point guard (like the Spurs who have no real PG) he would impress people a whole lot more, but maybe they can figure it out in OKC
if he can be an average 3 pt shooter, he fits with shai no problem!
Answered your question last night against Boston. Giddy is legit.
20yo you fools
😂😂
Idk I feel like they should swap tre and Giddey, like I think Tre would be a better starting fit
It might help with the spacing for Shai, the thing with Tre is that he's small, and his main skill is shooting 3's and attacking the basket, unfortunately he's not doing too hot with either of those right now :( even coming off the bench. Giddey adds a bit more size which, for a super small team, is not much but at least it's something lol and Josh has been really good in December :D
J Gidd leads OKC on the boards is he leading per minute?
he may be able to be a good defender at the 3 like Washington's Deni Avdija , very good breakdown
hes a bit slower then deni laterally but if he gets close to as good defensively his ceiling is sky high
@@vincentchauvet6654 agree , Avdija's ceiling as defender is second-team-all-defense at 3
The thing about Australian athletes (of any sport) is that they're extremely well trained from a young age. Luc Longley, Bogut, Patty Mills, Dante Exum, Ben Simmons, and Giddey all graduated from the Australian Institute of Sport basketball program. Virtually all these players show great fundamentals from a young age but tend to peak early. Therefore, I'm hoping Giddey bucks this trends and improves further.
I agree Australian athletes in most sports are trained well from a young age, especially on fundamentals with a focus on team efforts above individual efforts. The suggestion that other Aussie hoopers peaked early is completely flawed. -Patty definitely did not peak early, he only began earning minutes as a 6th man in 2014 when he was 26 years old. Many people argue last season as a 33 year old was the best season of his career. -Dante Exum had awful injuries early so in fairness to him he's more of an asterisk than a bust. -Simmo didn't really come through the AIS. He developed at Box Hill, spent less than a year at the AIS, before relocating to the states. Ben will continue to improve as a player, he's currently playing 1st team All-NBA defence. From the players you neglected to mention. Josh Green is developing into a solid NBA player. Dyson Daniels is a beast, with probably the highest ceiling out of all Aussie Hoopers.
I hope giddey hasn't peaked, his 3 ball is improving very nicely, and he's starting to adapt to the way teams play him now, and he's playing better with Shai little by little. I'm hopeful, as you said his floor was already high, thankfully Thunder are really good at development.
@@HustleOnDThunderD Giddey hasn't peaked as you mentioned in the video his shooting % will continue to rise and hopefully also the speed of his release.
