What I did was to assume there would be in incremental improvements in all three shooting categories. Nothing too fanciful, but slightly conservative since he will be working with very young players who have likely never adjusted their form much so far. Plus, it’s logical to expect that a 20 or 21 year-old being a year physically stronger and more mature, even without his aid would improve his shooting.
If you add 2 three point makes, 2 two point shots and 3 free throws collectively for the Thunder, that adds up to 13 points on average per game. Plus, maybe the shots that were not made before turned into 2 or 3 fast break points for the opposition. That then totals to theoretically 15 points. Plus, with the new give foul rule given the OKC style of pushing the pace, perhaps another point or we’re up to a 16 point swing. I haven’t looked it up but OKC might have lost 10-15 games by 15 or less. Hypothetically, that is a big swing and just adds to my sense that the Thunder is more likely to land in the middle rather than in the lottery.

@@HustleOnDThunderD great analysis. This 'give' foul? Done some research. We talking about the 'take' foul? That's all I come up with. I'll have to study up on it some more.
I wish the NBA would just swallow its pride and adopt the FIBA intentional foul 2 shots and possession. Would tidy up so many things. Fast breaks, hack a whoever, 'hard' fouls, all the ugly stuff and open up the game. That's what they want isn't it? Then maybe they could turn their attention to.. Calling travels etc now they don't have to let them go to 'open up the game'. Drove me nuts at the World Champs/Olympics to start with but once I understood I loved it.
Not sure exactly what the take foul is yet... Maybe it's better

The Thunder are going to be extremely dangerous. They are extremely talented and young. There's no tanking this season, for they are here. I can't wait. They are going to be soooo fun to watch! Their loaded.

Chip Engelland is the only Dukie you should like. He's been my favorite since his playing days, he used play at Oval Park in Durham with the homies while he was playing, talk about someone living the game. He's made a serious career as a Shooting Coach for over 30 years. Kudos to The Shot Dr.

FACT: Chip Engelland is very well known to the Filipinos/Philippines, since he played for the Philippines (as a naturalized Filipino citizen and played for Northern Cement) against the Americans in 1985 Jones Cup. He was known for being a 3 point shooter in the Philippines.

Listen, I was a freshman in high school and chip was a senior (Pacific palisades high school) I would watch him shoot free throws for hours, then one I got up nerves to ask him to teach me to shoot just like him, and did! In my opinion, he had a perfect jump shot.
