$20 Fix for Framing Mirror in Bathroom DIY | Beautiful Mirror Border and Inexpensive Too!!
Tammy, you failed to show WHICH blind to start with at the beginning of the video.
My apologies… I started with the cordless blinds.
My apologies… I started with the cordless blinds.
I want to thank ~ you for making this video! My Mom had been fighting cancer when a man came to the house to ask about her possibly wanting to resurface the drive… He THEN (being the nice guy he was… TOTAL SARCASM!) says he’s sorry for what she’s going thru and FOR HER HED DO IT FOR A CHEAPER AMOUNT. My Mom wanted to have it done anyway BUT with Chemo she let it go UNTIL THIS NICE MAN SHOWED UP… long story short… HE RESURFACES THE DRIVEWAY & he tells her give it a few days & the crack filler would blend in with the rest of the driveway… a few days later… IT LOOKS JUST AS HORRIBLE AS WHEN HE FINISHED UP! 😡 She tried for months to get ahold of this man and found out he was back in TX and blocked her…. She found another company to come and go back over it the next summer and THEY DID A HORRIBLE JOB AS WELL! Idk what they used to pour over the driveway… COLORED WATER MAYBE BUT THE PATCHES STILL SHOW THRU! She has since passed away but I’d love to make it look like it did when they had it poured originally ❤ I think I CAN DO A BETTER JOB THAN THE CRIMINALS THAT GOT HER FOR THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS!!!
Thank You !
Happy to help! 🙂
It’s perfect
Thank you 🥰😍🫶🏼
Love it make t seem so easy great job
Thank you 😊🥰
First, great video. I had to build my door, to cover a 54 inch arch way. My door is identical to yours. I used tongue and groove siding and 1.5 inch screws that looked like #4 finishing nails. And, plenty of glue for the T&G. I used Reliabilt hardware. The hardware was good, but the graphics left a lot to be desired. So much so, I had to go to UA-cam. My door is pretty heavy, so I may have to cut it in half. The cost was about the same if I had bought the door, but I wanted to build it. $150 for the wood, $90 for the hardware, $40 for stain, glue and screws. Using plywood would have been faster and cheaper.
Sounds like you did an amazing job! I had to assemble mine but the engineering was already done for me 😅 Appreciate your sharing your experience on here. I bet it looks amazing! 🤩
Nice ❤
THANK YOU!
Happy to help! ☺️
Thank you so much! This is an excellent video and detailed demonstration/explanation. I watched 4 or 5 others, and no one explained the tension cords.
I’m so happy that this helped you and got you the information needed to get the job done. 🙌🏼😉
Uhhh, unmentioned is: 1st step to have a clean paved driveway. 2nd step carrying it outside. 3rd step attaching a hose that will reach. I'm in an apartment with no usable outdoor area, no hose, no fence to hang it to drip-dry. Too many assumed requirements. Sorry, moving on to find a DIY solution that works in place.
Completely understand. This tutorial is not for everyone. Hope you find a viable solution for you.
Is that 1.5 inch?
I believe so… It’s standard thickness for a butcher block top.
👍🙏
😊😊
I have an area rug that got pretty dirty and I was about to throw it out until I saw your video. Used your ideas and now the rug is drying off. I actually got the rug much cleaner than I ever imagine and I didn't use a pressure washer although I have one. I have lots of area rugs in my house and now I know how to keep them clean. BTW I have no idea how people put these heavy dripping rugs in their cars when washing the rug on a patio or driveway works just as well. Thanks.
Wow!! Wonderful to hear! 🙌🏼 Glad this worked for you. I actually need to redo mine 😏 Thank you for sharing your experience 💕
Thank you for the tutorial! I have almost the exact same cordless blinds in my window right above my kitchen sink, with coincidentally a very similar faucet as your demonstration so this was especially helpful! I've been wanting to adjust them since I installed them about 6 months ago, and you gave me the courage to do it today. It looks and feels better to have the blinds fit the window now. I wonder if you have any advice for after pulling down they hang just slightly lower on the right? They did this before I altered them and it's the same after altering as well. I've tried different techniques to pull them down including just pulling from the left, with no results. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful! It may have more to do with the tension on the line than anything else. Unfortunately I don’t know how to fix that. 🫤
How about a video on how to tighten your pump soap dispenser on your kitchen sink
Thank you
Glad to help ☺️
Thank you so much
Thank you as well!! 🙂
Perhaps using a wet/dry shop vac before hanging to dry might get it dry much faster?
That wouldn’t hurt to try! 🙂
@TammysHomeTips 😎 👍🏻 I figure that's all a carpet cleaning machine does: applies water/cleaner, agitates it with a brush and vacuums it up. Just all with one machine instead of your hands AND one machine....a vacuum.
You are spot on ☺️🙌🏼😎
Had to replace my blinds and got the non-corded kind. It didn't come with instructions on how to shorten them but your video was perfect. I've done the corded ones and I'm glad I watched this before I shortened them.
Awesome!! I’m glad it helped! ☺️🙌🏼
what about grounding the antenna ?
As per electrical codes, indeed, your best bet is to ground the mast, and the RG 6 cables accordingly in order to avoid any lightning strikes that will indeed damage your tv set. The very best grounding technique is a cold water pipe for the RG 6 cables, while a ground rod for the mast used to mount the tv antennas or system head end on. You can never have enough grounding. Also, when making a RG 6 connector, a pocket knife is all ya need, number one, and as far as crimping the ferral, a crimping tool is best suited to be used in that reguard. The much newer RG 6 connectors have a entirely different crimping tool as the ferrall are much longer than the ones times past. You can build cable tv system head ends which each tv antenna used is a cantilever mounted antenna cut to the frequency of the desired tv station to be recieved which goes into the system head end building and into the recievers, processors, and combines thenout into the system which uses trunk amplifiers, line extenders, and bridgers along with tap units to connect up cable tv subscribers which the tap units range from two port design to 4 port to 8 port designs in order to handle as many cable tv subscribers from one tap unit in the trunk line or trunk run.
You’re gorgeous btw !
Subscribed! Keep up the amazing content 🙏🏽🤓😊
Aw! Thanks 😊 I need to make some new videos 😅 Really appreciate your support!
Nice concept but would think about how to make it look nice on BOTH sides.
Great idea! Mine is in my back yard and there is a tree there as well but you could absolutely make both sides look fabulous 🤓
can you put a tarp or something under the rug when washing the rug on a driveway?
It wouldn’t hurt to try it that way! It wouldn’t have worked for my place because of the incline on my driveway would probably make it hard for the rug to stay in place for me to clean it but I can see how it would work in a area without an incline. ☺️
What does it look like from outside the house...
Because ai put black on the backside it looks black from the outside. If you want something more decorative you can choose to use a thick but lighter color. Mine faces the backyard so this works for me
can you do this if spot clean only?
This is not really a spot cleaning approach
Where can i get the styrofoam
You can buy the Insulfoam at Lowe’s or Home Depot 🙂
Brilliant. This is exactly the idea I needed. Thank you
Awesome!! I love how UA-cam gives us a platform to share ideas like this. Hope it helped!
The tile you chose really was excellent. Thanks for posting.
Thank you 😍
Lucky husband.
I’ll let him know 😉
Amazing video and great work!! What is the name of the handheld tool you used to cut the flexible molding? I've never heard of a "universal tool" before, is it "officially" called something else? I want one! 😆
Good point 😅 It is officially called a Variable-Speed Oscillating Multi-Tool and unofficially called a universal tool. It’s a great thing to have!! 🤩
Great tip
Thank you! Appreciate you!
My mirror has the mirror clips. How would I work around the clips?
If they are the flat metal clips you can go right over them but the larger clear plastic ones you can loosen one at a time and slip that one piece behind it then tighten it again before you move on to the next one. Just be sure not to over tighten the clip so you don’t crack the mirror. I have done this several times without issues.
We took all of our area rugs to our local self-service car wash and used their high pressure sprayers to wash and rinse them. Worked like a charm. 👍🏾
Great idea!! Love it and thanks for sharing!
how do you get them home all wet?
@@tarynmarie34 That's what I was wondering. I wait for a super rainy day in the summer and first let the area rug soak up all that nice soft rainwater. Then I mix a little javex, warm water with my fav laundry detergent and I have a hard bristle broom that I clean my carpeted porch stairs with, and keep on sweeping the rug until clean, then if it doesn't continue raining, only then do I take the hose. I have been doing that for years and its works good. Then I get help and place the rug over the railing on my back deck. A day of very warm sunshine and the rugs is dry.
@maureenvalley7722 Sounds like you do an amazing job!! 🤩
Thank you so much!!! Brilliant 😂
We cut from tacking one board to the ceiling to a completely framed arch with curved door casing and glass installed none of which is explained. I don’t really see the point of the video..
This video is just showing how to do the curvature on the top inside of the door when framing. If you would like to know how to trim out the arched part of a door, you can check out my other video here Trim Molding For Arched Doorway Easy DIY ua-cam.com/video/mUAHt8hW4XE/v-deo.html
Here is also the video of how to install the glass: EASY Glass Template and How to Install ua-cam.com/video/v9atJlBq2tA/v-deo.html
i am the older generation but I love to search youtube for answers...rarely do i not get what i'm looding for...thanks for the help...the instructions omitted how to shorten cordless mini-blinds...thanks so much...
Thank you for giving my video a view and sharing your feedback. The first pet of the video is the cordless faux blinds and the second part is about the corded ones. Sorry I didn’t make it more clear. I hope you were able to figure out your project. 🙏🏼
I have a carpet cleaner, would this not be recommend on a polypropylene rug?
I'm also in the UK and tried searching for a metal squeeze. I only have a rubber one, so I'm unsure if that's suitable.
I used a rubber squeegee
That would be fine, this is just a deep clean 🙂
Nice!!!!
Thanks 🙂
Simple and to the point!!! Thank you 🙏🏾
Awesome! Glad it helped!!
I want to do this but my cable comes in from the basement so I think it’ll take more to get coaxial cable down from the attic.
Hope you’re able to get it figured out!!
Helpful, thanks! 😊😊
Glad it helped! Thank you for letting know 😊
She barely used any detergent also cleaning every 2 to 3 months is better than once a year
I used plenty of product but cleaning more often would be great 😉
You should have said to follow the first part.
Curious on this note. We could definitely does this in sections over time. As we have a decent driveway length. Great final look here. Thoughts? Just don't want to get overwhelmed doing this project. It seems the prep is the time/ labor intensive side. 👍. Because, last year getting estimates 22k, 16k, and 12k. Nah, better things to do with that money...
The prep is where all the work is. Once it’s ready it doesn’t take long to do the blacktop so I can see you getting that part done in one afternoon or day depending on the length of the driveway. 🙌🏼
Thanks
😊
Beautiful!!! ❤❤❤
Thank you ☺️
Love this, Tammy!! Absolutely beautiful end results.
Thank you! It was the perfect solution for us. ☺️
Great tutorial 😃 a general tip you can seal the ends of the cord by melting them with 🔥 ..this applies to most synthetic cord, rope string etc...p.s. was that the gaffer wearing the 👕 at the start 😊
Great point! I’ll be sure to include that as a point in future videos. Thank you so much and, yes, our little pooch with the shirt 👚is definitely the boss 😅
thank you. finally found a barn door installation that has the best details.
Yay! Glad to help. Wish you much success on your project!
Thankyou
