They should make the nocks screw on also
Yes I'm interested. 3 rivers and lancaster
Well done , tough shot
Easton Archery arrow tuning guide has been the bible forever .
After 50+ years I thought target panic was hunting a charging maneater . All jokes aside , thanks .
Excellent video! Thank you!
Trevor you say you are making this string for "Jeff." Would that be Jeff Phillips by any chance?
You just got your 1000th like on this vid, friend! Thanks for your detailed explanation!
If only everyone described as clearly! Thank you.
Best Bare shaft tuning video on youtube. Can you do a video on feather orientation in regards to shelf/ rest set up for best clearance probability? That would compliment this video very well.
Do you have a phone number you use instead of Facebook where.i could talk to you
Just found this video but thanks for the info. Tying aluminum for indoor. I was surprised to see that there weren't RPS inserts for more X7 sizes, so I picked up some platinum plus, but really preferred the idea of black for glare. Never even realized those black gamegetters existed! Great tips on the nocks too.
What is the advantage of these to brass knocks? Is adjustability an advantage really?
Hi Trevor coming to this video late but how com no website to order. Heard really nice things about your strings from Jeff Phillips UA-cam channel. The guy is an awesome shooter!
Excelente!
Interesting Just got Chinese hermit x10 bow, great bow actually, not marked but suppose to be the new 62". String measures 59.5". Thinking about ordering a new string from you. Can't seem to find out what kind of string came on this new 62 inch hermit. D97? It does shoot good though.
Sexiest strings on Earth! 👌👌👌
This is an AWESOME video mate! I bareshaft to 20 yards and when they hit straight, I fletch my arrows. I skip fine tuning bare vs fletched back to 30 yards and I go straight to paper tuning instead.
Thank you for explaining the 4" vs AMO thing. You read my mind
1arow price🎉
How do I order a bow string? Cannot find your website! Thank you, Ron
It seems to me that if you get your tune correct for your normal draw if you short draw it or long draw it is still tuned…not sure if others have found this as well.
I would never guessed that. I have generally went with 12 strands. From now on I will go with 14.
Is it opposite for lefies?
This is a gold mine❤
Hey man, recently bareshafted a bow which oddly always hits far right. Got the bare shaft like a lazer, but fletched my arrows are hitting a few inches right . I'm right handed. Any ideas why this would be happening?
Great content man, I love that you just put the info out there and did not worry about your presentation refinement; good explanations, sometime the simple methods are the most effective.
How can i order strings since I don’t do facebook?
Could you talk about brace height in regards to tuning?
Awesome brother! Love it!!
After using brass nocks on my recurve, it started cutting into the serving. I'm pretty sure it was me with my ham fists during installation. Anyway I pried them off, cut the serving off and reserved it, and then using this method, I tied two nocks on and I was back in business. Adjustment was kind of tight but it was perfect. Thank you so much. Jeff Phillips sent me here.
Do you have a phone number so. I can talk to you or
How can I order a string from you?
Cool, if they made the new throat diameter like you suggested
I don’t have FB. Is there an email address I could get from you to be able to get some strings?
We are the same physical build same draw length. This is great information for me. 67 yrs.
I have watched this video every time I tie a knock set. A life saver. Also - I tighten with my purse!
Wow!! Makes so much sense. Thank you!
My carbon arrows are tuned the same way (shooting at close range).. I get identical flight from my Howard Hill Wesley Special, 50 lbs. at my 28 inch draw as I get from my Savannah 45 lb. using the same arrow and a vintage Bear Grizzly 48 lbs. Gold Tips, 500 spine, cut at 30 and a half inches and 125 grain field tip. Bear's '59 Kodiak remake uses 30 and a half inch, 400 spine, 125 grain field tip. Interesting video...thanks
Really like those tips! I hate clickers and grip sears but because of that choice target panic takes a lot of work for me to manage. I like shooting open loop too. I don’t shoot tournaments so I can make it work for hunting. Always like to try incorporating different ideas into my shot process to keep my target panic in control.
I will do a UA-cam explanation of arrow flight one day , because all these vids don't understand true arrow flight , your close but the archery world doesn't understand .......Energy and mass when converted to motion , at the correct bare shaft flight , to distance to impact your knock should be 4 degrees knock high on a boss at 90 degrees ....Bow energy......arrow mass.....graverty....distance .the 4 needs to work in harmony .
I see the wear on that string finger. Respect Come check out my Yew bows if you've got a mo
Yes man. Ive begun promoting an English Yew hunting bow designed I developed, so I'm here soaking up some more knowledge and trying to connect with some archers. Ive sold yew walking sticks to fellas in the states and i like the idea if my bows naking their way there to. Ive done some shorts if the bows in action and i would be honoured if you would come check em out Many thanks!
Good solid information Pointing out the conundrum of perspective and scale.
Trevor - I'm an Osteopath in Scotland 🏴 Why do we naturally Cant a Bow ? It's Biomechanics - if you hold your arm out to your front, as you do when drawing your Bow, your hand will naturally be at an angle between 25 and 35 degrees to vertical. It's at the natural, neutral position, everything is relaxed. If you hold your hand vertically, the hand/elbow/shoulder/neck muscles will become tense. Frankly, it's not a natural posture to maintain. Secondly, when canting a Bow, your eye is over the arrow and your visual field is greatly improved.
At long last - an Archer with intelligence and the communicative skills to explain Bare Shaft Tuning. Very well explained. Thanks my friend 🙏
How can you be reached
I just tied my first set of nocks on tonight 😊 thank you so much for sharing this video 🙏
I’m new to arrow making, but I stumbled onto this technique of raising and rolling, but I was using a wrench handle to roll and was chewing up the surface of the arrow. I have about 20 hazelnut shafts from my trees in the backyard, seasoned for 24 hours or so, to experiment on, and I have a little pulley I can try. I was surprised how much force was required to straighten, especially around the more dense knots, but I used a similar technique on my Yew bow to make the surface nice and smooth and dense, so familiar with it…
Thanks for the refresher, just got a new longbow and needed a new set
