that's so lame, there's an entire game loop there that will be obliterated by these changes. What happened to rep? let criminals be banned from a station after getting caught commiting crimes there, and then need to smuggle themselves in somehow later on. Was that not what the fucking Star runner was for with its shielded compartments and vent system? The devs really need to allow the game to organically create dynamic PVP interactions and not stamp them out with half assed nerfs like this.

I'am all for being able to shoot intruders in your hangars and ships, but why the timer tho it's against the whole boarding loop ( even if most of it is just griefing ).

I mean it is kind of realistic having the service of a secure hangar for your multi million dollar ship when you request landing at the spaceport because spaceports (like airports for us) are places of very high security. I would imagine that those hangars have heat/ir detecting sensors aswell as cameras all around to ensure a safe flight for the ones renting your landing pad. BUT from a player experience view this is very restricting so i really hope that all the landing pads that dont belong to the local government wont have any safety features like the high tech hangars on big citys should have. Because it makes sense and it would be realistic this way while still having the option to sneak on ships at some places, maybe even at grimhex which is essentially an outlaw station which would only have a few clan/gang members protecting it instead of a government security force.

They can shoot you, and magic 30 second teleport. Both seems a little much. Imo, teleport time limit should be like, 10 minutes or not exist, but the intruder can’t shoot. Being able to shoot someone who can’t shoot back feels like enough of an advantage. I want my stow away gameplay loop

They need to just give the Scorp A’a damper to the Base Scorpius. Who on earth is ever going to play just to press “red sphere on” literally once per engagement? Imo, the Base Scorp should get bigger turret guns, and the Scorp A should get the current 4x S3 turret + it’s damp. I don’t want the Zeus to have both a lot of pilot controlled dps and the damper. We are seeing crazy power creep on what pilots can do. I’d really, really like them to take a breath and imagine the human being who will play as crew. We need things like dampers, emps, scanning, set waypoints, etc to be doable by a copilot/turret officer, and turrets in general need to be more powerful. Almost every manned turret should either have its weapon size increased by 1, or on some ships have other currently manned turrets slaved together (or both, in cases like the Corsair). A pilot gets to fly, control all ship systems, and has an ever increasing arsenal on top of that (ex: Corsair, F8C, F7 Mk II…). We will never see multicrew ships be genuinely viable or even worthwhile unless the prospect of being anyone other than the pilot is genuinely appealing. In particular, I think expanding systems accessible only to the crew (such as the Scorp changes: either you get 4x S4, or 4x S3 + Damp / Ewar, both genuinely appealing gameplay) and finally introducing flak (proximity fuse, aoe damage. Lowest dps of all weapons, but obviously the best at hitting light fighters) as a weapon option *exclusive* to manned turrets would be an over-night massive improvement to the game. Every single size of ship would now be pvp viable, and have genuine roles. It would mean two light fighters can’t kill anything else with total immunity to return fire. So tackle becomes improtant, things like the redeemer become important to provide escort-either as flak boats, or as gun boats-a pair of redeemers (one flak, one anti-ship) with a mantis could confidently tackle just about anyone and have a fight. Even bombers and heavy fighters are now more viable, as they will be the best at knocking out flak boats to clear the screen. But, fighters would still be viable, they just have to be careful of flak boats. It’s a planned weapon type. They say they want WW2 in space, but haven’t given us the single most common WW2 anti-fighter weapon. It’s absence from the game has given us 12 years of fighter meta, and 12 years of half baked solutions to that meta. Instead, we seem to be getting just endless pilot power creep, and it’s still the case that most ships aren’t viable, and it’s continuing to push these half baked solutions. I hope people enjoy the Zeus. I just hope it doesn’t end up fun only because it’s the latest in a line of utterly broken ships trying to bandaid a broken balance system.

Sounds great until stuff starts disappearing from your hangar!!! Like ships did when 3.23 dropped........never to be seen again, including my 100i.

DANG! I didn’t even think about the 30 second kick out applying to public hangars. They need to clarify if it’s just armistice rights to kill trespassers, or if it kicks them automatically from a public hangar you are using. If they kick trespassers from public hangars you’re using then CIG is more short sighted than I thought. They seem to hate everything fun about their own game

You will of course still be able to board/sneak on when in a lawless/non-armistice zone but that's WAY more rare. What do you guys think?

Nice to see the updates are coming.. be nice if they could fix some basics.. like inventory, or repeated mission failing due to missions being bugged.

Start with an avenger titan or a 315p. Next thing you will need a larger ship to carry vehicles and friends. Freelancer max, zues cl, C1 or the cutlass black are all good options. Then if you like a game loop buy the ship for that. It might be salvage, mining, medical, cargo or bounties.

I agree with you, for the most part. I think the C1, Cuttlass Black, Freelancer Max, or Zeus CL all make appropriate second ships. My personal rec, even without its release, is C1 or Zeus CL depending on if you value solo flight or having a friend on board more. C1 is the kindmg of medium solo, and i think tbe Zeus will be the kind of duo general use ships

OK you clearly edited this so why leave in all the loading screens unless you are just going for run time I came to hear how server meshing went and sure 30k many times but didnt see you look at the list of who was online or actually try anything that would have been more than 30 people 3 idris ok you can do that with out server meshing

3:51:11 first boarding I found 5:13:11 xenothreat idris vs idris combat begins, fully manned all turrets 7:14:20 2nd boarding begins 8:04:40 3rd boarding (I think he's back in the og idris)
