This exact thing happened to me, my head gasket blew on my BASE MODEL 02 RSX and they quoted 15k to replace it with a completely new motor🤦🏻‍♂️ I just put a Japan crate K20A in and it’s fine now

So I have a forum question, but probably kinda too technical, although maybe interesting due to current state of the world - since in EU all new cars and even slightly older are mostly black mirrors instead of actual dashboard (pretty much only car with physical controls left is crossland), which I hate and seems and it just looks super lazy and cheap to me I looked at some JDM cars, which still have actual dashboard, analog cluster, physical cluster, still with display for media and some basic info plus all the bulling stuff can be turned of easily. Now this would be "why we can't have nice things here" ... but since currently yen is super cheap, it actually makes a lot of sense to import it. However the question now is to make it legal I would need to convert headlights from LHT TO RHT, which with projectors is easy, but all the cars I'm interested in (boring daily drivers) have LED reflector lights. Do you know if these things can be converted? It seems very weird to me how these work as it looks like led shines onto the reflector from top. No idea if it is doable. Also another reason for going JDM car is their width restrictions (even for regular car classes), so I can actually fit the car into the parking space - which for me in the daily is very important.

Oh lordy, Ridge Racer has to go down as one of THE worst racing games ever made by a mile. Its worse than Outrun and that was made for ancient hardware. Microprose GP was better. I will fess up now. Ive been driving for 20+ years and last september i was reversing my Vivaro LWB out of a building site in biblical rain. I was paying so much attention to the concrete sewer thing behind me i completely missed the stacked scaffold poles to my left, i went full lock and swung the front of the van into said poles totally writing off my power steering pump which for some batshit insane reason is right down in the bottom of the left side of the front bumper. Lets just say that trying to drive a 3t van without power steering is difficult.

I'm so confused, in the UK do you guys not have comprehensive drive other cars? I can drive a car provided I have the owners permission fully insured, and third party any car. So no need to get it insured on the day.

China make so many new models of cars, especially in China, because the reviews of the cars are so bad a change and a rename allows them hide the reviews and continue selling for another 2 years before they need another re-brand.

BYD are $70bn in debt, like every Chinese car maker they're out to cash in on the CCPs subsidies before going bankrupt. The CCP are trying to flood the globe with cheap crap, they've done this before in other industries, to damage local brands and grab a market share, which is why the US and EU have slapped Chinese cars with tariffs. People lapping up these cheap Chinese cars are unaware of the damage they're doing to the car industry, it's forcing Western brands to make cheaper crap to keep their profits up.
