WHY Did I Even Try This LATE Photography HIKE? (Long Exposure Struggles)
Переглядів 13214 днів тому
Long shutter speeds and a waterfall is a great combination for a photography hike, in a canyon in Belgium. In this video, I set out on a photography hike, but things didn't go as planned. I got a late start and ended up racing against the setting sun, losing light fast. Despite the challenge, I managed to capture a few long exposure shots of a waterfall and flowing water. Watch as I struggle wi...

Instead of Tamron 100-400 I'd go with Nikon AFP 70-300 full frame lens, which is lighter, compact, cheaper and sharper, you can crop it to 400mm equivalent of Tamron and it's still sharper.

I upgraded from D3200 to D7200 back in 2019 but do you not think the camera is a massive brick lol? I a battery grip and Sigma 17-50mm attached and it looks like a weapon!! This is a great stills camera and has fantastic range and cropability for those distant shots. I never shoot vids so couldn’t care less about that, but I get that a lot of UA-camrs do, so can understand why it’s rated importantly for them. If anyone is curious, just buy one now for a song and a prayer second hand(much cheaper than the D7500), use it for six months and sell it for a few dollars cheaper than you bought it if it doesn’t float your boat. Cheaper than renting. lol.

I have a D300 with AF 50 mm 1.8D and DX AF-S 18-135G ED. I wanted to upgrade it to D7200 and I've found near me 2 tempting D7200 to buy. 1. Body only with 1569 shutter count (sounds like almost brand new) for 500 eur 2. Body + AF-S DX 18-140G ED VR with 21719 shutter count for 670 eur I know 18-140 is a kit lens as well as mine 18-135, but I've heard that it's pretty decent for it's price (and versatile), and I think VR is very useful, especially when shooting 100mm+ and also helps a lot when there is not plenty of light. Besides mine 18-135 is a bit worn out and sometimes it has difficulties with zooming out below 35mm. What are your thoughts about it? I should mention that I do photography only for pleasure and for personal use such as travelling and annual photo albums.

It’s sounds to me that de second option is hitting 2 birds with 1 rock, or how do you say it 😁 you want a new body and need a new lens. If you go for the €500 and still need to buy a new lenses you probably end up at €800 in the end. So I would go for the second option. 21000 photos isn’t to much for the d7200. I’m guessing I’m way over that number 😁

D7200 is still an amazing tool for photographers. I still own two of these, and prefer them over the stupid D7500 and my mirrorless Z model. It´s my fav APS-C, and ever will be, unless Nikon will return to mirror cams. It´s a bummer the industry ceased abandoned mirrors. You see a real picture in the finder, not an image, and it doesn´t even consume battery power to look thru. I can leave my APS-C turned on all the day, always ready to shoot, and the battery lasts half an eternity. Mirrorless is not better, it´s just newer. It´s only better suited for video, not pics. Heck, I still use a 2008 D90 and a D7100 from 2013 for infrared, and they do the job. So why ever sell em?

Never sell only change when the body’s are not working anymore 😁 what Z model do you have? The most people are switching to keep up with the market or want to reduce there setup in weight. It’s also a difference if you are doing photography as a professional or not, but I also use my D7200 for professional work. The image are good enough and I’m not printing super big. It’s still a beast of a camera 😁
