I noticed a flaw in book 1. Scott, the captain, could have removed the quantum communicator and replaced it with explosive. He would have blown up the belligerent ship and kept the communicator safe.

I highly enjoyed this audiobook and am about to listen to the next one! The audio is high quality. Although, I did speed it up by .05.

What a tragic figure this Luca is, tied to tech with greater and greater distance from humanity to look forward to, no friends at all, well, her only "friend" a woman three times her age. Sad. (And also sad for her, a cover artist who clearly likes the Khardashians...)

Really enjoying this series! But i am confused as to how Luka is considered to be a true Van Helding, I understand that the Van Heldings altered her DNA but neither of her parents are of the Van Helding bloodline, have I missed something?

I’m impressed that people can listen at 1.25 and build all detailed scenes in their mind at that speed. I guess that’s based on practice. I need the ‘normal’ more natural setting to mentally paint each scene and to identify with the emotions of the characters.
