Thank you for these. I was a CNA for 11 years. I loved helping people and watching them get better or at least, help them be more comfortable. I especially like helping people going through detox, mental instability (dementia, suicide attempts, etc) and hospice. I feel they don't get enough respect so I can at least treat them like people. Everyone has a story... ...but then I got sick. It's not Covid but right before (a couple weeks probably) Covid hit, that's when everything happened. I've been sick for a few years but they still don't know what caused everything. They are thinking something triggered everything. My organs are doing weird things but they aren't killing me at least. I have Meniere's Disease (vertigo on crack that can make you go deaf), chronic hives a few other things. I haven't been able to get out of bed for a couple years now. Audiobooks are one of the things I can always enjoy, regardless of how much energy I have or if I feel like I'm on fire. I listen to audiobooks near 24/7. I even fall asleep to them which gives me some pretty awesome action adventure dreams. Problem is, I am also on disability so my funds are extremely limited. Audiobooks can get expensive when you don't have an income. This is why I thank you. You are one of the people helping me stay sane while I search for answers.

What amazing series. It deserves nothing less than to be an animated series on Netflix with animation like what was used in the Love, Death + Robots episode, Snow in the desert.
Oh I can't wait for the next one! Thank you for sharing these stories with us Gerald. I've listened to the first episode twice now as I always relisten to the previous episodes when you release a new one, that way I am reminded about what happened before and the nice thing is even listening to the stories over again they are just as good or even better because I hear something I missed listening the first time. Xenon? Who is this? I have heard of Zenen Hybrid. Also what happened to him? Hadn't heard anything about or from him since his offer to take them on a tour. Nothing about him on the ship or being kidnapped or the firefight soon after. Or even anything when they got to Mars. I would have thought that they would be having to hold him back from charging at the enemy, (un armed) to take them on. Zenen was a fighter as well as a scholar. It's like he vanished. While I like how this is following the Colony on Mars. I wish the Authur had spent more time on this part. Maybe catch the reader up on the happenings on Mars or something. Just a short meeting in the garden just seems a bit short considering it's background and buildup from the authors books. Glad superwomen (Miranda) is ok. Haha.
I'm 1/2 way through the 2nd book, and it's extremely well written with an intriguing plot. I'm enjoying it, BUT... the protagonist is a weak and niave beta-male. I hope his character arc leads him down a heroic path, or at least allows him to remove his testosterone inhibitor. That's my only criticism, and I'm excited to have found such an immensely talented author on UA-cam.
