Actually this one is extended version.. there's a line that was in the normal version. It was Nick's line "So everybody everywhere, don't be afraid don't have no fear, I'm gonna tell the world make you understand, as long as there'll be music we'll be coming back again" it was the best part of the song imo
I sometimes see such things as a deliberate 'style' choice though right? Like with The Rocky Horror Picture Show; Little Shop of Horrors and such. I could be wrong. All these years later I still love this song and vid LOL :D
Gheez... am I this old already? For me it's more than 35 years since this song was popular... Didn't watch many music videos back in the day; what I remember more are the images of screaming girls everywhere these boybands would perform... As far as the video is concerned, maybe it was just meant as a funny thing and they didn't see a reason to make it more realistic (set) or exiting (camerawork). And as you said: as a grown up you mostly see things totally different from what you experienced as a kid. The initial exitement from back then might be completely lost. But it was a nice trip down memory lane nevertheless 🙂 Think I saw you did analyze a BB parody as well, so I'm definitely going to check that out!
Haha!! I think it should be the same for us, almost 30 years ago (lol) - it came out in 1997. I remember those concerts, I went to one! Haha!! This was definitely a really fun trip down memory lane. And kind of interesting to look at a video that looked great in my memory (which my mom and husband both confirmed, they thought the same!) but just looks totally different with our 2024 eyes!

Please React to NF Hope! Very creatively involved in the video. Many of his videos have a huge impact on the direction of the story in the music.
