Joey Eloy (Power gap) Jay I was never satisfied with jay's playing, and I'm glad hes out. The original feel of the song is completely missing in his playing imo

No disrespect to Jay but he sounds like a jazz drummer comparing to Elroy.

Jay relies way too much on triggers to make him sound good. If fact he’s pretty 1 dimensional. Eloy is a far superior drummer. Plus he doesn’t have to trigger as heavily . Sounds like real drums not electronic drums.

lol everyone forgot one the most hardest thing - compose your drums part and Joey did that, but other only repeated his part. of course Joey is better than both of them

With all respect to Jay but Eloy is a different level of drummer

When I watch Jay I think “you know if I practice really hard, in a few years, I bet I can almost do that”. When I watch Eloy I think “I should just quit playing drums right now”.

Jay était vraiment précis mais il manquait un peu de confiance… Eloy est précis et confiant, il est sans aucun doute meilleur, et deviendra meilleur que Joey

I guess im alone in thinking jay Weinberg is the tighter cleaner drummer am i missing something i know im supposed to think eloy is better i just hear louder i don't actually hear better jay Weinberg should just join a deathcore band were they appreciate tighter and cleaner drummers for the type of music Slipknot is inthink eloy is a better fit but i dont think that means jay drum's arent good just different

Yes Joey and Jay are great drummers, but the Energy that Eloy plays with is just what any band needs! Eloy Is a Complete drumming Beast!!!

The more and more we hear Eloy with Slipknot it makes more sense why it was a "creative decision." Jay was good for a while but he started getting sloppy and ahead of tempo. We appreciate what you did for 9 years Jay. Best of luck with Suicidal Tendencies 🖤

Not to insult Jay's time with Slipknot, he laid a lot of groundwork for Eloy to work with. Jay helped make those songs, Eloy plays them better.

Louder and harder but not better. I would listen to Jay any day of the week. If you want to hid imperfections tune your drums down. If you want to show off technicality and skill tune up.

Here's an idea. 2 drummers? They have 2 custom percussionists. Why not 2 drummers for their live show? I dunno. Nobody asked me, but a sonic assault on all of your senses....

they are too completely different drummers tho. Jay comes from a very clean professional background because of his father. he don’t get super crazy and hype but he’s very smooth and clean. Eloy on the other hand has waaay more natural power so he’s beatt the fuck out of the drums but also sounds so clean. that’s the main difference. Eloy just hits them so much harder with less effort that it just makes them sound crazy full

I like how clear is the Jay drum, it feels more musically swing... it's not about be better, it's different... as same is clear how good technically is Eloy but it was a choice from Slipknot, new moment, so let's enjoy their new sound
