We finally made it out on the bay in our own boat. In 2 days we were able to hook 8 halibut and 2 striped bass between 4 people. The weather wasn’t as forecasted but we made best of the conditions. Personal Bests for myself 30 inch on the first day. 33 inch on the 2nd day. Music by: Dan Ayalon Song: “Sneaky line”
Tomales Bay Fishing! THRESHER SHARKS!
Переглядів 1,9 тис.3 роки тому
Tomales Bay is always a fun place to fish, you never know what you’ll hook out in those waters. We were targeting Halibut fishing off the bottom with a 1.5mph drift with live bait (anchovie, jacksmelt, shiners, sardine). We got one shorty halibut 19inches and 3 Thresher hook ups, but the thresher easily cut the 30lb mono. Next time. #bayareafishing

Kayak Fishing in Tomales Bay Drifting/Trolling live bait. Found Herring and shiners as live bait. We drifted and trolling near the red marker and yellow buoy. We had a few Halibut bites, but it was kind of slow. The Striper bite found us tho. We hooked up with a 9lber on a shallow water drift and a 12lber on a slow troll in 25 feet of water. #bayareafishing

    • @averageanglers7075
      @averageanglers7075 11 місяців тому

      Go look up navigational lights on a non motorized vessel. If you are going to post on our page scolding us, please make sure your information is correct. YOU’RE WRONG…

  • @CarlosDasilva-z5k
    @CarlosDasilva-z5k 11 місяців тому

    You guys understand that by coast guard regulations, you must have navigation lights right? A white light on a stick is not in compliance. You are required to have a nave light (white) as well as nave (green) lights starboard and (red) port lights in order to indicate to others your vessel's you direction. If you believe otherwise, you're placing yourselves in harm's way as well as other boaters! Be safe rather then $orry!

    • @kevinrojas7332
      @kevinrojas7332 11 місяців тому

      For non-motorized vessels such as human propelled kayaks and SUP a navigation light may be one of the following: An electric flashlight or other bright light. Lighted lantern showing a white light which shall be exhibited in sufficient time to prevent collision. Tricolored lantern (should not be used with all-round green and red lights) All-Round green and red lights. (should not be used with tricolored lantern). This is from the boating and waterways website for California.
