Do you like rebounding barefoot Jill?
No not really it offsets your balance and you end up pushing too much on the ball of the foot which really engages the calf muscles - I prefer using a good running shoe
I’m in menopause. No leakage but that feeling of urgency and pressure when I jump. Also I have a bcan rebounder and it’s very stiff. I’m finding it hard to get the bounce going on my back. Is it possible it’s bc the rebounder is so stiff or I’m just that weak?
its most likely due to the stiff matt - although the pelvic floor is also needing some strengthening... don't give up. just look for the right mix and interrupt your urine flow every time you go to the bathroom start stop start stop start stop (without pushing outwards) it really helps

I’m 46 year old peri menopausal and have been rebounding for about two weeks. I feel stronger, happier and more energetic. I had pain my jaw/ear area which had to be lymphatic fluid that wouldn’t drain but that’s completely resolved. My only issue is I went a little too hard at first and tore up my left calf muscle. But that’s healing and I’m still able to round through the healing as it gets better every day.
what rebounder were you using? was it too stiff? be very careful with a torn calf muscle - they usually get treated like a broken bone - come back to rebounding only when your tear is healed - because it can open up like a zipper on the calf muscle... plus you should consider taping your calf on the first times back to make sure its safe

stay bouncing - it really is the best way to stay in shape after menopause
I read that there are studies that show that incontinence is worsened by rebunding, in 76% of the participants... So I am confused.
In the first stages as the connective tissue is lax and weak its normal to have a period of extra leakage when you bounce- the same for jumping rope... it will definitely not be the best at first- but you can regain control of the situation, remember that the body always responds to stimulii- that is why I tell you to bounce for a month only on your back to strengthen and condition that connective tissue before bouncing outright....

Almost all modern sneakers have heels so how are our feet flat in them? My understanding is that wearing any kind of heel leads to weak, flat glutes (which weakens the pelvic floor) because the calves are always in a shortened position. I only wear minimal shoes (or no shoes) which has helped me to have super strong feet, lengthened hamstrings & calves, as well as strong, round glutes. Check out Katy Bowman for more info. Other than that, your tips are super!
Try this.. 1. take off your shoe. 2. get on your rebounder 3. notice where the weight bottoms out - Answer: your heels.. because the rebounder is soft... 4. a good normal running shoe usually has about an ergonomic fall off from heel to toe of approximately 4 cm... which helps keep the pushing activity coming from your thighs and glutes as opposed to the calves... High heels - yes I agree with the problems you listed.. but on a rebounder trust me a good normal running shoe will give you the best and safest experience during the high energy classes of Superjump Original - Supersonic - and Intensity... you can consider jumping without shoes for Core Stability or Kombat Jump
What distinguishes your video from others that make rebounding content is that I feel truly informed after watching it. Thank you for giving us the need to know details and showing examples of how we can make adaptations until our bodies are ready to continue. I am 74 in reasonably shape but new hip and degeneration in lower back. Is rebounding a good exercise for a woman in my age group and condition?
I would be really careful about big bouncing... soft bouncing is really useful as well for stimulating lymph flow and muscular tone... but you need to approach this slowly

I am using a professional half fold 48" rebounder with bulge springs... the bigger the jumping surface the better . there are a lot of great rebounders out there and I only sell in Europe

This was so good👍🏽 I’ve never heard rebounding explained like this before. I have the Bellicon rebounder, which uses the bungee system. Is that going to problematic? I used to have one with springs.
No, no problem at all... just adjust the amount of jumping.. the elastic return can be a bit different so you might have a harder time keeping time... when I'm doing one of my musical routines... but the bellicon is an excellent product

Hi mam I’ve been using socks on the trampoline. Is it the same as using shoes or shoes is important for pelvic ?
I think shoes are better for posture while bouncing with my more active techniques... if you're just bouncing to lyphercize then okay... but the risk of socks is slipping... at that point it would be better bare foot or with special anti-slip socks

Get jumping it changes your mood and your metabolism
I have two prolapses and I want to start rebounding so badly but it even 2 minutes of bouncing upright aggravates my symptoms. This makes me really hopeful! Do you know of women who have rebounded and healed their prolapse?
Prolapse is a bigger question. Have your tried an inversion table? that could start to help... I suggest just bouncing while lying down on the trampoline.. that way it can help your connective tissue without pulling on your internal organs

Hi Jill I seriously need to do some form of exercise but I have a cervical cage fitted in my neck, severe arthritis everywhere and can hardly walk due to foot pain (in both, I use a cane) I’m putting on weight daily. I’ve started swimming but would love to gentle rebound at home. What do you think? I’m fed up with being so limited but will obviously take any advice on board. Ty great videos. (My ops were 2014-2015, I’m 64 yrs old 😉)
You obviously need to get the go ahead from your orthopaedic but by simply pushing into the mat you will already activate more muscle fibres than working out on the floor.. so if you want to just start to move your weight from one foot to the next and do it SLOWLY and without pain I think it would be empowering
