So basicly there are very cool outfits and armor, but I can't equip my citizens with it and they won't follow me in combat? Why do I need armor and weapons then?!

What you mean "two devs"? I thought it's the same dev? So basically it's coming to sengoku dynasty have more of everything. Thus some problems. Though, I hope they'll be fixed. My few points is - dialogues. In SD You can talk to any npc on the map, everyone have some story. In MD it looks like you playing zombie game. Npc have 0 emotions, 0 anything. They just walking like zombies. But, environment is prettier, yes. MD doesn't feel alive at all. And that is my main complain. Together with absence of any actions on the map. It's perfect game if you have insomnia. Nothing ever happen there. In SD my best hope it's raiding system. They promised it, and I really hope it'll be implemented.

Is the update coming to console on 11/27? Or just PC/Steam?

I know the game a fair bunch. Doing a new playthru in Oxbow, year 8 on Hard, still fairly easy I like Oxbow so far even in Single player. I wonder with the update if I should restart in the Valley or continue my new Oxbow one?

Playing Sengoku Dynasty with specs that are recommended for Medival Dynasty and I can't even reach smooth 30 fps, don't to mention loading times... And I'm playing since early access day 1.

I just started playing Valley, I'm planning to continue in the next 2 days. Is a fresh start must after this update? Does the new features like bandit camps, swords etc also apply for Valley start?

Can you make another one where you perhaps go into more detail, e.g. in which phase of village building how much of which material should be produced, from when you need several production buildings of one type and what the settings of the production buildings should be (e.g. with the woodcutter how much percentage should be placed on collecting logs, sticks, making firewood and boards) etc. ?

They really need to fix the lag issue in Sengoku Dynasty. Might actually be more fun then.

I like this assessment. I have both games and have really enjoed the designing and customization in Medieval dynasty. ( I drop a lot of items to place everywhere) but even though I can't do that as easily in Sengoku I am a fan of the indoor customization more in that game. Really hoping MD catches up on that front

First comment. Great videos and your tutorials are invaluable. I wish you could get your people to follow you like in Bellwright. That's really the big reason I prefer Bellwright...having a squad following you. And I'd recommend Fallout 4 for Bethesda games. Base building is decent, plus you can be the roving sheriff between your settlements.

You are all over the place, jumping from one thing to another without completing things or reading throughout.

I think both games are fun in their current state, but both would also benefit from major improvements. I love these types of games and one day it'd be really nice to see all of these small devs bands together and make one large, complete game. Too much to hope for, I know, but a guy can dream.

Right now, i would say Sengoku Dynasty is better then Medieval Dynasty, but whit an update for Medieval Dynasty rjght around the corner, i think we have to wait to further comparision. I'm holding back on buying Sengoku Dynasty until the performance and character models improve. Hope it will be soon since I'm really itching to play it!

Sengoku is much newer. Medieval has a three year head start on Sengoku, and wasn't feature complete or fully polished on launch either. Sengoku isn't fully feature complete yet either, it's missing the "Dynasty" bit (have a kid, and take over the Dynasty through him) though it is planned to be in the game. Medieval is better, but that's largely because it's had more time to cook. I suspect Sengoku will make some progress on your frustrations over the next few years and that this comparison will be much closer in that time. EDIT:: HA, you made this point at the end of your video. Kudos.

im currently addicted to this game i finished the valley story and now im playing oxbow but i find myself restarting alot 😭

the thing about the combat in medieval dynasty that i like is that 1 hit can kill you, i dont like those tanky games where if you mess up its just like -10 health

Great video, full watch from me! I have both games and just started covering Sengoku myself on my channel again after the full release. I appreciate your comparisons between the two and agree on most accounts. The only thing I disagree on is I think the environment in Sengoku just looks beautiful, where as Medieval has more of a bland look. Just my opinion though!

Sengoku dynasty has a ton of glitches at the moment, so I'm def like MD much more right now. SD has this glitch that loses my items when transferring to storage.

Genuinely pissed my friend off because i had my wife making flatbread during the day and then at night time id refuse to sleep because id be making flatbread all night. He was happy when he had an extra 1000$

It's a pity Sengoku runs on unreal 5 and has higher hardware needs. I won't be buying new video card to play it.

I can't stand souls like combat...too arcade. Bannerlord has the best melee combat system...any medieval game should be directional combat.
