BAND-MAID’s "Puzzle" is an intense and melodic powerhouse of a track that perfectly showcases their ability to blend hard rock energy with intricate musicality. The driving riffs, dynamic vocals, and tight rhythm section create a sound that’s both heavy and beautifully crafted. Every element feels deliberate, with a complexity that keeps you hooked from start to finish. Let me know if this trac...

Spellbinding Reaction to Brandi Carlile Covering "Space Oddity" (D. Bowie) & "Creep" (Radiohead)

Brandi Carlile’s covers of David Bowie’s "Space Oddity" and Radiohead’s "Creep" are nothing short of spellbinding. Her voice carries the perfect mix of power and vulnerability, breathing fresh life into both iconic tracks. Stunning Reaction to Angelina Jordan & Toby Gad's "Bad Valentine" | Jazzy Version from Piano Diaries
Переглядів 5752 години тому
Angelina Jordan and Toby Gad’s jazzy version of "Bad Valentine" from Piano Diaries is a sophisticated and stunning twist on the original. This rendition leans into a sultry, timeless jazz vibe, with Angelina’s voice effortlessly adapting to the intimate, stripped-back arrangement. The original version had a playful, sassy energy, while this one feels more reflective and mature, showcasing Angel...
Bold Reaction to Jay-Z’s “Blueprint 2” | Skillful, But Cam’ron’s Diss Lingers
Переглядів 1084 години тому
Jay-Z’s “Blueprint 2” is a solid diss track-calculated, sharp, and lyrically impressive. He takes aim at multiple targets with his usual wit and confidence, and yes, even drops a hilarious Austin Powers reference (“It’s not groovy, baby!”) to keep things spicy. While the track showcases Jay’s undeniable skill, I couldn’t help but still feel the sting of Cam’ron’s “Swagger Jacker.” It’s wild how...
Shocking Reaction to Cam’ron’s "Swagger Jacker" | Dissing JAY-Z
Переглядів 884 години тому
Cam’ron’s "Swagger Jacker" is one of the most surprising diss tracks I’ve ever heard! Hearing him go after JAY-Z like this-using a compilation of Jay’s alleged lyrical “borrowings”-left me in complete disbelief. The concept itself is bold and creative, with Cam'ron making his case in a way that's equal parts audacious and cutting. It’s a diss that leans heavily on proof over punchlines, making ...
Reflective Reaction to J. Cole's "Runaway" | Honest & Vulnerable

J. Cole’s "Runaway" is an honest and vulnerable exploration of personal struggles, love, and the urge to escape. Hearing this track, I was moved by Cole’s reflective storytelling, blending introspection with his signature lyrical flow. The raw emotion in his delivery adds depth, making the track feel relatable and deeply human. The production complements the themes perfectly, creating a moody, ...
Deep Reaction to DMX's "The Convo" | Raw and Spiritual
Переглядів 1207 годин тому
DMX’s "The Convo" is an incredibly raw and introspective track, a deep dialogue between himself and a higher power. Hearing this for the first time, I was struck by the intensity of his vulnerability and the spiritual weight of the lyrics. DMX’s delivery is powerful as always, blending pain, reflection, and hope into an emotional journey. It’s a track that goes beyond music and dives into the s...
Emotional Reaction to Brandi Carlile's "The Story" | A Soul-stirring Masterpiece

Sorry, original was blocked. Had to cover for copyright. Uncovered version can be found over on my Patreon. Brandi Carlile’s "The Story" is pure, unfiltered emotion-her raw, powerful vocals bring an intensity that is impossible to ignore. Great reaction, Charlene, subbed! "Both heavy, and beautifully crafted." Yeah, you've figured the Maids out here. I get exactly the same sort of tension and release that they create every song. Looking forward to more Band-Maid reactions from you. 😄 Note that you have a slight audio to video synch problem on the playback in your video here, just a heads-up.
Love your reaction to this. ❤
Awesome reaction again! I'm glad I'm pretty much batting a thousand on my recommendations. I have one more for you. kd lang singing Hallelujah at the Juno awards. I will send the link through buy me a coffee.
I don't know why this comment is not sticking -- it was a reply to your reply to "Can you compare them to the Beatles", so I'm going to try a separate post: While the Beatles were masters of melodic and catchy song writing, Yes were the masters of making complex yet accessible songs. Your first comment regarding the length of the song yet you hardy noticed the time go by is a hallmark of their craft - the ability to keep the interest of the listener for a long period of time while making it feel like time just flew by. Yes makes it seem so easy. Most of their songs clock in at around 8-9 minutes - their 3 epic masterpieces (Close to the Edge, The Gates of Delirium, Awaken) average in at 18 minutes (DO NOT GO TO THESE until you get more familiar with their method of music making). When it comes to technical brilliance they are in a league on their own. To illustrate: Guitarist Steve Howe was voted Best Overall Guitarist in Guitar Player magazine FIVE years straight. This category capped the individual categories of Rock, Blue, Jazz, Metal and Classical. The bassist Chris Squire is admired by many bassists including Getty Lee of Rush (who is a huge fan). Squire has an award named after him at the Progressive Music Awards > the Chris Squire Virtuoso Award. Drummer Bill Druford again is revered by drummers all around. He went on to play for the prog legends King Crimson. In 2013 he got his PHD in music and is now a music professor at a university. Keyboardist Rick Wakeman is regard as one of the best on the keys. Last but definitely not least is vocalist Jon Anderson with his s-o-o-o distinct voice and his awe inspiring lyrics. His lyrics were more poetry, with the propensity to use words more for their sound than for their meaning, making the lyrics confuse the heck out of the listener. Together they were greater than the individuals themselves. The more you delve into their work the more you will realize how great they were.
I agree that I have a lot to learn about Yes… and I’m definitely looking forward to it. But a great band, IMO, is more than just musicality (which I’ll argue The Beatles crossed more styles - and invented some - in their short 8 yr career); but it is also about nostalgia, how they make you feel and the lyrics. But either way, “favourite” is subjective and it’s hard to strip away actual memories or feelings that one gets. I think it is a more interesting place when everyone has different faves. 🤗
@@RetroToMetroReactions I can understand that. For me nostalgia plays no role in the music I like. Of all the music I listened to in my teens and 20's I may still listen to 5% of it. I was always one to looks for new and wonderful things. So eventually I migrated to electronic music and at one point lost all interest in "conventional band" type music, including Yes. It's mainly because of reaction videos I've watch in the last year or so that my love for Yes has been rekindled. Seeing how people constantly get blown away by these guys, some being left speechless, I began to really appreciate what a marvel they were. So enjoy the journey. In my opinion their greatness only spans from 1970 thru to 1976 -- so less years than the Beatles.
'Awkward' is another great song for Kanami throwing away riffs like they've gone out of fashion. Very different song to Puzzle but eaqually great.
Definitely reminiscent of Brenda's Got a Baby...
Happy Thanksgiving and yes it is raining outside
Happy Thanksgiving!
Brooklyn's Finest and Whatchu Want are two good Big and Jay collaborations. The latter was on the posthumous Biggie Duets album.
The notorious b.i.g. won this battle Jay z was just coming up in the game
There was never a beef between Jay and Big. They were friends having both grown up in Brooklyn. Jay and Pac... well that's another story...
One of my fav rappers. Too Short was a great message rapper. Yes he can get dirty sometimes but he was definitely not gangster rap. Best line ever 3:47. Great reaction you actually listen to the lyrics.
Я ценю мнения женщин возраста после климакса. Бабы после гормонального давления становятся ЧЕЛОВЕКАМИ, ЛЮДЬМИ. Нормально.
As a suggestion to what to listen to here is my recommendation. GO CHRONOLOGICALLY. So continue with The Yes Album (you already did Starship Trooper) and listen to Yours is No Disgrace, I've Seen All Good People, Perpetual Change and Steve Howe's solo The Clap. Then you can move on to the next album Fragile. It only gets better..
Charlene, thank you for reacting to this great rock song by Band-Maid. If you read the lyrics in English, you will understand the premise of the song. After this, you now need to react to the acoustic version of "Puzzle" with only Kanami and Saiki performing. It will break your heart.
Hello👋
It’s the intro you can hear to live and die in la fade out
5:53 for context, Drake was one number 1 hit song away from tying Michael Jackson’s record of most number 1’s in music history and with this song, he either surpassed MJ or tied.
Drake is the GOAT 🐐. I’d recommend reacting to more of his introspective tracks, just to name a few; Look what you’ve done, Too much From time You and the 6 Weston road flows Lose you Do not disturb
🕊️👀🥰❤️😁🍻
Last week Bjorn said in an interview that the Voyage show will also come to L.A. and Sidney. So you could save the flight.

That first part was definitely part of the song lol used to scare me as a kid
such a good song. tyler puts paint on his hands and neck at different times to represent his insecurities and represent a character in the 'lore' behind their music.

5:20 We watched how a person can transform from a very good singer to an angel.
Thank you...❤️ (yea I always cringe when folks dial up the Roundabout live version - live recording and video was a total crap shoot in those days) This tune is always a popular recommendation for one of my very favorite bands....and was epic live to be sure!!! 😍 So many true masterpieces to direct you towards...most will likely point you towards the epic Close to the Edge album (all three tunes are legendary) or to other tunes with Roundabout from the Fragile album etc...and again, all are worth it for sure..But I would encourage you to check out songs from their 1977 "Going for the One" album... This, I feel, caught the band at their true apex. The title track provides perhaps the most complete and compact dose of Yes... "Awaken" is just breathtaking ...nuf said.... and perhaps one of their most delicate beautiful and touching songs "Turn of the Century" forever sits atop my all-time playlist. How can one say no to YES ...Ha ✌️
💜💛❤💙💚 Perfection!!!!!
I loved your reaction to this! I also really appreciated your discussion about the differences between the Brandi and Sara versions. Another one that I absolutely love is Dolly Parton's version. Brandi asked her to cover it for a charity album, and it takes on a whole new dimension when you add Dolly's life and extensive career behind the lyrics. I highly recommend it. ua-cam.com/video/zi_XPQ4tq40/v-deo.html
This, imo, is superior to the official video because of her band and she's alway something special live. The Piano Diaries (jazzy version) though is dramatically different and is worth a listen.
Hey great be looking forward to it!
I like that, thanks
Fabulous reaction my friend. I totally agree. They're all a little different takes on her own song but this jazzy version is the true. Angelina, It's who she is. Its embedded deep in her DNA and this bluesy jazz feeling reverberates through her vocals, so naturally that it just grabs your attention from the very start to the very end and she has control of all your emotions throughout the song. I heard one of your comments and I totally agree. Nobody covers Angelina better than Angelina. Absolutely true. Nobody covers her better than herself. I don't think many people could cover her Angelina. She's not an easy vocalist to follow and with her such subtle nuances and breathy raspy vibrato that just sends chills down your spine every time she sings. She's been getting better and better since the time she was six and now that at 18 years old she continues to get better and better. The sky is her limit and I'm so glad that you are continuing your wonderful Journey with our beautiful barefoot princess. The angels all over the world. Appreciate your wonderful UA-cam channel. Keep posting my friend. Sending you much thanks and love from Canada 👍🇨🇦🇨🇦❤️❤️❤️
👍👍Awesome🔥🔥🔥🔥. Great reaction. 🖖❤
Love her voice, her notes, her music. Shes the best
Nobody throws away riffs like Kanami. She’ll play more in a couple songs than another band might put in a whole album. She’ll play one once, and you’ll never hear it again. You have to have such confidence in your creativity to do something like that.
Can you compare them to the Beatles
For me… nothing tops The Beatles. 🤗

18 now and 19 come Jan. 10, 2025........super reaction....
Yeah, there are no bad versions of this song. Angelina, as she does, sings it differently every time. It’s unfortunate that the live concert versions are not recorded professionally. The mixing is not optimal, and the sound is a bit muddy. Her jazzy version is very different in emotion from this one-and it’s spectacular. Different vibe, different feel, same lyrics. The “official” version is probably the least favorite among most Angels. Try that jazzy version and hear a very different song and singer, recorded just beautifully.
