Fabulous reaction my friend. Absolutely true! More sassier. always soulful and always on point with her vocals. Angelina Jordan is a natural on stage, especially live and it comes out. It just comes out in her music. She could sing the phone book and sound fabulous. But this is her own song in collaboration with Toby Gad and it's a fantastic song. Probably her coming out song as a beautiful young woman of 18 now! This song should be on the charts and heavily promoted. It's such a fabulous, fabulous song.. if you get a chance, I would suggest her more jazzier version with Toby Gad. It all started back in 2022, when Toby Gad got together with Angelina Jordan, and they quickly did eight songs together-yes, eight. It was unfortunate, because even though the heads at Universal Republic Records heard the songs, and they even claimed them to be some of the best they've ever heard Angelina Jordan sing before, they shelved all 8 songs. Toby Gad found out over the phone with Angelina Jordan that their 8 songs never made it onto the Old Enough EP, and it sounds like a bad breakup story; Toby actually went into a complete depression as he hung up the phone when he heard they were shelved, as he had co-written some incredible songs with many artists before, and this-he's the writer/co-writer that's written the 3rd amount of famous songs for pop artists-had never happened before with him with this quantity of songs being shelved. Toby actually thought about how not to be taken advantage of by one of these companies again, so he ended up starting Kite Records several months later. He began work on the album Piano Diaries in 2023 to 2024; he found new aspiring singers for almost all of the songs, but he still had one opening for "If I Were a Boy," which was made popular by Beyoncé 16 years ago, and he had a birthday coming up, and he thought Angelina Jordan has an amazing voice; maybe she might think about singing “If I Were a Boy,” with him, so he decided to call Angelina Jordan to see if she wanted to come, since it had been awhile been awhile since the shelving, and it's all paraphrased, of course, he asked her if she would come to his birthday party; she quickly said yes, and then he asked her if she would sing "If I Were a Boy" for his album Piano Diaries, and again, she quickly said yes again. I'm not sure what happened at Republic Record's from 2022-2024, but obviously something did, and she just recently supposedly bought out her contract from them (I'm not sure of the date), but she'll be with another label soon. They must have worked out some deal to release "Bad Valentine" with Angelina Jordan's name with Universal Republic Records name attached to it, probably because they used the recording from 2022. Remember those 8 songs that were shelved? This is one of those. Yeah, there are no bad versions of this song. Angelina, as she does, sings it differently every time. It’s unfortunate that the live concert versions are not recorded professionally. The mixing is not optimal, and the sound is a bit muddy. Her jazzy version is very different in emotion from this one-and it’s spectacular. Different vibe, different feel, same lyrics. The “official” version is probably the least favorite among most Angels. Try that jazzy version and hear a very different song and singer, recorded just beautifully. Fabulous reaction my friend. Absolutely true! More sassier. always soulful and always on point with her vocals. Angelina Jordan is a natural on stage, especially live and it comes out. It just comes out in her music. She could sing the phone book and sound fabulous. But this is her own song in collaboration with Toby Gad and it's a fantastic song. Probably her coming out song as a beautiful young woman of 18 now! This song should be on the charts and heavily promoted. It's such a fabulous, fabulous song.. if you get a chance, I would suggest her more jazzier version with Toby Gad. It all started back in 2022, when Toby Gad got together with Angelina Jordan, and they quickly did eight songs together-yes, eight. It was unfortunate, because even though the heads at Universal Republic Records heard the songs, and they even claimed them to be some of the best they've ever heard Angelina Jordan sing before, they shelved all 8 songs. Toby Gad found out over the phone with Angelina Jordan that their 8 songs never made it onto the Old Enough EP, and it sounds like a bad breakup story; Toby actually went into a complete depression as he hung up the phone when he heard they were shelved, as he had co-written some incredible songs with many artists before, and this-he's the writer/co-writer that's written the 3rd amount of famous songs for pop artists-had never happened before with him with this quantity of songs being shelved. Toby actually thought about how not to be taken advantage of by one of these companies again, so he ended up starting Kite Records several months later. He began work on the album Piano Diaries in 2023 to 2024; he found new aspiring singers for almost all of the songs, but he still had one opening for "If I Were a Boy," which was made popular by Beyoncé 16 years ago, and he had a birthday coming up, and he thought Angelina Jordan has an amazing voice; maybe she might think about singing “If I Were a Boy,” with him, so he decided to call Angelina Jordan to see if she wanted to come, since it had been awhile been awhile since the shelving, and it's all paraphrased, of course, he asked her if she would come to his birthday party; she quickly said yes, and then he asked her if she would sing "If I Were a Boy" for his album Piano Diaries, and again, she quickly said yes again. I'm not sure what happened at Republic Record's from 2022-2024, but obviously something did, and she just recently supposedly bought out her contract from them (I'm not sure of the date), but she'll be with another label soon.
They must have worked out some deal to release "Bad Valentine" with Angelina Jordan's name with Universal Republic Records name attached to it, probably because they used the recording from 2022. Remember those 8 songs that were shelved? This is one of those.
So, the 2 videos on her channel that say, "Bad Valentine" Official Video and "Bad Valentine" Official Music Video have the 2022 recording track, but Angelina Jordan and Toby Gad have the dates listed at 9-25-24 and 11-7-24, but you have to remember, Angelina Jordan was only 16 years old at the time. However, for the 2 videos, the first was filmed on Mulholland Drive, and the 2nd at a studio/desert lot in San Bernardino, which are both fairly recent in 2024

I was at this concert, in Glendale, CA, where Angelina sang 21 songs, including two more new originals, "What Am I to You" and "Thank You". "Bad Valentine" deserves to be a big hit. Yeah, there are no bad versions of this song. Angelina, as she does, sings it differently every time. It’s unfortunate that the live concert versions are not recorded professionally. The mixing is not optimal, and the sound is a bit muddy. Her jazzy version is very different in emotion from this one-and it’s spectacular. Different vibe, different feel, same lyrics.
