Hey there,
I like EUCs and ride a Gotway RS19HT, T4 (soon) and Mten4. Germany makes me mostly ride trails, but here and there I go to other countries to ride legally.
Join my EUC journey :)

Sherman OG rider tries a LYNX for the first time - LEAPERKIM
Переглядів 1,6 тис.21 день тому
After 3 years of riding the OG Sherman, my friend John finally had the chance to ride a different wheel for a longer time. I let him try my Leaperkim Lynx and you can see his reaction. Like I sayed, he tried my Gotway RS19 for like 1 minute and the Begode T4 for probably 5 minutes, but this time he had more time. Hey bro, which wheel do you feel has more torque, the patton or the lynx?
Patton has more because of the smaller tire. I talked about it in my ‘Pumptrack‘ video I made a few months ago in Taiwan :)
Do you really feel it?
@@user-to4tb5xv6j I did. But it’s like have a wheel with a lot of torque or having a wheel with even more that a lot of torque. If you do just off-roading, maybe go with the Patton. If you also like to do street riding go with the Lynx. I’d say the lynx can do it all but is in nothing the best. That’s my personal opinion. And I‘m super happy to have this powerful and fun alrounder.
Hey, where did you buy the pads? And do they deliver in NY, US?
I have Grizzla Pads Flow. They are produced in Poland and he ships it world wide. But the the US it might cost 30 USD for shipping, I'm not sure. You can check out Clarcpads which are made in the US.
That's the new guy 😢
6:47 Are you saying they will launch a 4000Wh version? Is the size the same as 2700Wh? I'm wondering how much heavier it will be than 2700Wh
Just rumors. I just know they will Release a new wheel this year but probably in the fourth quarter of the year.
Blud don’t go destroying mtb jumps
How is it destroying jumps I’m genuinely curious
Get a electric unicycle and ride mtb jumps*
Woe tire nearly chewed up the family jewels in that spill 😮
It was so close man 😅🍀
Cut around the box near the bottom and just lift the top off. :-) Less work than opening and flipping lol they're getting heavier all the time somehow...
That's also a great idea! Howeu, I needed the box to ship my T4
Great video, lots of content. Thank-you. 6 pac Gord
What about the PWM titlback? It still present in the Lynx? Most usefull safety function in my opinion. Speed sound alarm is not that safe because max speed depends on the battery level and the hill climb :).
I know I forgot something! ♥️ I put the PWM on 75%. Super important! And I have hit it on low and high speeds. It works awesome!
@@floatypiet great. And I think that Begode have it also in new firmwares :-)
Why is it called"og" sherman?
I call it like that because it's the first Sherman (the original) and the first wheel Leaperkim came out with.
@floatypiet Thank you. If I may ask. (1) Veteran is part of Leaperkim, and both are relatively new/young companies. True? (2) I looked at ewheels/NextGenMobility/other, I see something called the Sherman-S. I don't see just "Sherman". I'm assuming the original/OG is a discontinued model replaced by the "S" model. Right? Again, thank you.
@@michaelmaverick2630 yes you are correct. Sherman was LeaperKims first wheel, but there is also the Sherman Max and now the Sherman S (S for suspension, I guess).
nice unboxing🤙
Cool video, I really like your chanel. Just a note about the power pad thing and the feet coming off the pedals when you hit a bump. This only happens if you are flat footed/ if you put youre weight on the heels while you ride. If you stay light footed (put youre weight on the balls of youre foot and lift the heel up slightly) when a bump hits the wheel, youre foot is gonna come down instead of up. Ronnin did a cool video with chris yim explaining this. Locking youre foot o with pads can be dangerous cause if the wheel goes down it will drag you along and can twist youre ankle.
Thank you mate!
Ich sehe da ein Deutsches Buch auf der Fensterbank, selten das Deutsche guten Kontent über (aktuelle) EUCs machen. Wo ungefähr fährst du so? Ich erhalte heute oder morgen auch endlich mein Lynx, wär ja cool wenn man zufällig in der Nähe wohnt
Danke für dein Kommentar! Uhhh coole Sache! Momentan fahre ich in Luxemburg und du?

Great video, it was a little hard to hear you, the sound is clear just low volume.
Thank you for your feedback mate! I appreciate it and will look into it ♥️
Thank you for the video, if internal shell is plastic some rubber "hair" could wear it down 🤷
It is made out of plastic. So I just went for it😂
Thank you for a good unboxing! This came out just in time....My Lynx is supposed to be delivered within the next 5 hours, so very topical for me :)
Niceeee! You'll love the wheel mate! Lynx specific you should know the the charger might give out more voltage than 151.2 V. There is a screw inside the charger with what you can adjust the max output to what ever Voltage you like. I personally prefer just 150 or 150.5V or pull it out just in time. You can track the voltage over the Lynx screen and also your phone while charging. Enjoy your new wheel! 🔥
Congrats on the new wheel (and mic)! Would you mind sharing 1. How does torque off the line feel vs those other wheels. 2. Stability/wobbles youve felt 3. Suspension feel at medium to high speed, is it still responsive?
Thank you mate! Which of the other 2 wheels do you mean? SS and Patton? I talked a little bit about them in my 'Pumptrack in Taiwan' video. The Patton has a little bit more torque, but I did experience some wobbles around 65 kph when riding in Abu Dhabi. If the SS is more stable, I can't tell you, but the LYNX is super stable, I haven't gone faster than 70 though. Currently I'm experiencing a little side drag to the right when going fast. Not sure yet if it's the tire or just me... However, I do think it's super stable. Suspension: I personally prefer the springy setting (it's more fun jumping around), and I did hit some potholes going faster. No problem! I feel super safe! I personally love it but I know there are some people who love the EX Max suspension even more. But then you also have a 10 kg/20% heavier wheel. I don't want something heavier than 40 kg (because I often take it on the bus or train), but that's just my opinion. The Lynx is obviously not perfect and a 10/10 but there are just small things which I don't like and I'll address in my first thought after 1000 km video. If you still have questions, just let me know.
Hi bro, do you feel a significant difference between the patton and the lynx in terms of torque because I have a patton and I'm thinking of maybe switching to a lynx but I'm a little afraid that I won't have the same torque as the patton because the patton feels very strong in its acceleration?🙏🏼
@@user-to4tb5xv6j I do feel the Patton has more torque and just for off-roading it’s probably better. But the lynx has still lots of power, torque and the better range. It’s also better on the street due to its bigger tire.
I talked about the Patton vs Lynx vs SS in my ‘pumptrsck‘ video in Taiwan a couple months ago
Wonderful video man ❤️, immediately inspired to get out on my own
You still had 4 bars left after 70km? If you don't mind my asking; what do you weigh?
Yeah it's crazy! Sometimes we were speeding, but sometimes we also went slow and we just talking. I guess the average speed might have been around 20-23 kph or so. On the scale I'm around 83 kg so I guess my riding weight is just under 90 kg. I ended up riding 101 km. I got beeps and tiltback in the end at around 115-113V
i hope seller drop down to 400 so i can buy 1 because this thing cost too much
It is expensive. However, I do consider it a car replacement (at least in my situation).
Awesome 😎 thanks brother!!🙏
You’re welcome ❤️
New mic setup is great! Drool. Would love a Lynx :)
Thank you mate! Still not happy but I think it was the 'noise canceling' setting.
That was fun, thanks. 6 pac Gord
I appreciate it♥️
You mean I don’t get to keep the wheel?!?!?! :( sniff
You're always to borrow it♥️
Thank you for the entertainment!
Hey, I was wondering if you ever figured out the fan restarting. I just replaced mine and ran into the same issue
Hey hey, no I sadly needed to deal with it. I'm sorry I can't help with it.
Ordered my 66lbs lynx yesterday! Supzr excited
I received the 66 50S one week ago. You should be excited!
@@floatypiet how are you liking yours? Howmany kms have you put in by now ? & Are you using the stock foodplates, if so how are they?
@@maxim9875 I will make a video in a few weeks about it. So far I'm really enjoying it. Obviously it's quite heavy so I'm happy to not have the SS. I'm using Grizzla pads and the stock toe pads which require an additional 3D print pecaus they are not wide enough. So far I rode around 250 km I think. The charger is super loud and will overcharge your wheel when you don't adjust the screw within the charger. The light is blinding people like crazy. Other than that I love the battery, speed, form factor, suspension...
Will NOT subscribe to anyone who influences a Begode product.
Ok
Hello, Sir! Would you do an update on your Mten4 soon?
Yes. I just had a cutoff a few weeks ago (not my fault) so I'll do an update when I receive the new motherboard :)
What shoes do you wear?:)
Just Adidas Ultraboost. The most comfortable shoes on this planzin my opinion😄 Probably not the safest when it comes to riding
Was the original tire really glued on or just well seated??
I feel like they might have used a little bit of glue, but I'm not 100% sure. The new one is great thought! For some reason my motherboard fried, but I don't think it's because of a new tire 😄
@@floatypiet I burned out a transistor on the board after 4 days of purchase :) Ordered a new board
@@benassiXlll Oh noooo. I hope it was within warranty😥 boards are quite expensive
When I stopped riding dirt bikes and got into Euc riding. this is why right here. don't feel like i'm missing anything but a Rack to haul my bike. love it!
I'm worried about the axle bolts snapping, one of the little tabs snapped off when the pedal hit on a crash so i know they're somewhat brittle
I make my EUC's easier to push by adding a little weight to the back and then pushing them backwards. The weight pulls them along, and if I my wheel ever gets free and decides to roll, the back weight pulls it to a stop - unless it's rolling backwards, of course. Anyways, I love your T4 review, I'm pretty close to picking up that T4 Pro+ as a backup / trail wheel to my daily driver - a Sherman Max with street tire.
Ohh thats a good trick! T4 as a trail wheel ist good! Just keep in mind the range, topspeed and suspension. I think by now the suspension is a little t better on the Patton. But I know, it's more expensive and heavier
Nice video! I suffered a lot to change my Mten4 tire! In the end, i had to take it to a tire shop!
Oh noo! I was thinking about it but then I went again for a second try 😄 but I would probably have spent 5 dollars, if I know that it will be done in 2 minutes.
I got a V2, and took the bearings apart, expecting it to be dry. It was packed with very sticky, heavy, clear grease. No problems here.
Ohh wow that's good to hear! After replacing mine with the SKF I had no Problems anymore👍🏾
Nice video man. One question:,, Do you sell your t4 on Kleinanzeigen?
Thank you. Haha yes I do :)
wow that is not good at all. what did you do sell it or get another wheel?
I repaired it (myewheel did). A NN d I payed 60€ for the SKF bearings
Wow what an insane blast!
Maybe I’m just a victim of some excellent marketing, but I’m drooling all over the Lynx! But I’ve got a ways to go to be able to take advantage of all of those stats, as I’m just a couple of weeks into my first wheel, a V12. At his point, it’s not the performance of the wheel that’s holding me back. Yet. I’ll keep practicing and hope to have (and be able to use) a Lynx by the end of the summer!
That's how I felt with my first wheel, the RS19 HT. It wasn't holding me back for quite a while but at some time I reached its limits. I just ordered the Lynx because in my point it's the best out of all and I can't wait for it😂 But enjoy your time with the V12 ist definitely a fun wheel!
Fantastic footage, what a great day! This reminds me why I’m practicing my beginner skills. 😮
Thank you!♥️ Keep it going! It takes a couple of kilometers to get good at it😄
Mten3 aint easier ;)
🫣😂 oh god
Hilarious. Keep it up, bro. I want more! Subbed. :)
I appreciate it! I'll definitely go for another long tour this year with the Lynx. This time in Europe.
@@floatypiet🙂
@@floatypiet If you can you are welcome to Sweden I will connect you to the EUC ppl here. Dont forget Poland and Belgium, they have good and big communities, Myself Im going to Sri Lanka on a island around tour this summer. Have a good time and TC. ;-)
Hey Piet, I love the content, especially on the MTen4. Not sure if this helps at all, but have you scoped through the youtube gurus on changing tires. Certainly not as hard as the MTen4 but when I had to change my V8 16", what really made the difference was flattening the tire on one side to create slack on the oposite. Anyways, keep up the content, also have millions of questions on riding in Germany? Always very hesitant when I read through the reports and fines people mention.
Thank you mate I appreciate it! And when it comes to riding in Germany... people would probably describe it with the words 'IT SUCKS BALLS' 😂 Except from private property it's illigaland E-scooters are not allowed to go faster the 20 kph. In Germany you take a car, the bicycle or the public transport which is not reliable...
Thanks for the honest review my guy. I’m in contemplating buying one and am new to this. I mainly ride motorcycles but this looks like something fun to ride as another hobby.
Thank you! Just keep in mind, it's great because of it's weight but it definitely missed some speed and range. That's why I'll go for the Lynx. But for pure offroad purposes it's a fun wheel.
Awesome adventure. I watched the whole thing! What is the song called at 7:55?
I'm glad you enjoyed it♥️ it's called 'Still Fly' Instrumental Version by Revel Day :)
So happy to see EUC friendly cities and countries! I was riding in Japan until they started to crack down on it : ( I'm in KL right now, maybe I will see if I can get in touch with this group. Thanks!
So it was okay to ride in Japan but it’s not anymore? I’m sorry to hear that! Man the guys in KL were so welcoming and friendly! Great memories! If you get the chance to meet them definitely go for it!
This is a really good series. Pleasant, humorous narration, interesting scenery, and suspense as the battery level diminishes. 02:47 - I am very glad that you saw the deadly hazard in time to stop. Unexpected hazards will be encountered at night too, when you won't be able to see them. Wash-outs (deep gullies in road surface created by rain), low wires, low branches, sharp trash on the trail, night animals crossing, ... too many types to list.
Try to change riding mode of the wheel from soft to hard. Lights will stay more stable at hard mode
I did. It's better, not perfect. I'd recommend a different light I guess
This was an interesting video, thank you. I will watch more if you provide them. Perhaps you could tell us about how much Chinese language fluency is required to navigate and explore Taiwan. Be safe and have a good life.
Thank you very much! I talked about the language barrier on Day 6 :)
