  • This are my first Impressions after riding the Begode Mten4 a little more than 50 km. I hope this video provided you some usefull informations. I want to film a more detailed video in February after all my exams at university.
    So if you have any questions let me know and I can try to answer them, maybe even in the upcomming video :)

    I had to use pliers to work there charging port. Besides that I love the Mten4, so much power such a little package! Great review, seems like the euc community is torn on this little tank! One thing everyone has agreed on is it help teach you to ride backwards and that's a skill I want to have!

      Hey Dan, thanks for your comment! Yeah opening the charge port sucks😂 I want to 3D print a better solution but for now you really need a spoon, pliers or what ever to open it. I have now ridden 240 km so I think I can soon make a review about the wheel because it will take ages to get 1000 km on a last mile solution. But yeah for the short distances it's pretty cool! I'm glad you are enjoying your wheel as well!

    I go 40+ kph on my Begode mcm5 v.2 all the time. 14 inch larger tire size. Same price. faster wheel, more power and longer range. That mten4 looks fun though.

      That's a good alternative actually and probably the better wheel all in all🤔
      But it's probably hard to get that wheel by now.
      And the I'd say the fun factor is pretty high on the Mten4 because of its size 😍 I love it!

    The light is good is goes off. Who want to check there wheel every time you turn it on to see it you light is on or off. The beep sound you can change it in apps.
    Love the helmet color and wheel looks fun

      Thanks man! With the light you're actually right.
      But I did check the beepers volume in the app after receiving the wheel because it is quite quiet and it was already at 100%. I played around with it for a little bit, bit it just quiet

    Nice one! As well as the T4, I have an Mten3. It's just as fun! Top on the MTen3 is around 35km/h (no way it could go 40), but a bonus is that it has a lift switch :) And, I also have an IXS trigger helmet. We really are down-under twins! - Pete from NZ.

      Haha you’re wild 😂 for me having 2 wheels is a sweetspot. How fast do you go with your Mten4 though? I like to ride it around 28 kph, sometimes 30.
      And I saw this one french UA-camr creating a lift switch for it in his review. I thought about doing it as well.
      Great heimelten choice (I think)!

      My wife would kill me if I came home with a 3rd wheel, so it’s just the MTen3 and the T4 for me. A lift switch is handy for short sets of stairs, but just as easy to switch it off for long stairs. Enjoy your wheels!

    Can't you change the beeper volume under "wheel settings" on the app? I (still) use WheelLop and it allows you to do so on the T4, is quite nice ^^

      @floatypiet  Рік тому +1

      I use EUC World and I'm at 100% Volume already. I played a little around but the beeper in general just seems to be quite in the Mtem4 :/

    great video ! safety compared to other EUC - how would you rate it ? agree the knobby tire is like foot massage and the noise is the same . brrrrrrr

    • @floatypiet
      @floatypiet  Рік тому

      Thank you Robert! I'll definitely talk a little bit about safety. What I can tell you already is that the control board is well protected from the rain, the on/off switch not though. Do you ride the Mten4 as well?

      @@floatypiet Get one of those giant clear grocery bags and carry them in your pocket. If it rains, cover the mten4 with it. Problem solved.

      @@floatypiet I have it but don't ride it . The reason is safety - i am afraid from small wheels after falling once from Segway Ninebot S Smart that has same size wheels and that was on carpet - any small hole on the ground can divert the wheel to the side and the rider will meet the floor. maybe it's just post trauma for me . I ride Kingsong S22 and soon will get 2 new wheels - V13 and T4 . Safety is most important think for me . thats why I bought the V13 . rain is not consideration since I don't ride when it's rainy .

      Glue baby bumper flap over it. Cost like 5 bucks

      @@robertbarel896 omggg V13😍 that's some crazy wheel! Just a 'small" battery for that kind of a big wheel. But it seems to be super safe and great to ride if the weather conditions aren't perfect.
      I get you, you need to focus more on the street compared to wheels with a big tire. It's really a wheel for short distances.

    İt is a great video! I have a question, what is the tire pressure ? They (the seller) arranged mine as 50psi and I tried it today first time, I think 50psi is too much, it is uncomfortable.Do you have any idea what it should be? I am 78kg.Thanks in advance.

    • @floatypiet
      @floatypiet  5 місяців тому +1

      Hey Bro i am really sorry for the late reply. It depends a little on your wheel and tire dimensions as well I guess but 50 is way too much. Try something between 28 and 35 psi. That should be about right :)

    For reference, how tall/weight are you? I have watched many reviews of the MTen4 and it seems to often wobble above 20km/h. I’m debatting between the Mten4 VS A2 🤯🤯! Commuting for 14km, harsh conditions (rain, cold, snow). I’m a beginner, I don’t need speed or suspension.

    • @floatypiet
      @floatypiet  10 місяців тому +1

      I'll upload another Mten4 review hopefully next week. I just need to cut it.
      I am 84kg (naked) and 1.83m. You don't want a small wheel for commuting 14km. I don't know your terrain but I have ridden the Patton yesterday in Abu Dhabi for 70km and this is in my opinion the perfect commuter wheel. Begodes are not that great when it comes to water. MTen4 seems to be okay in sight rain but it's a great second wheel. Not a great first wheel. Everything over 2 km I would take a bigger wheel (16 ich or bigger).
      I haven't tried the A2 though. But riding 14 km you also want some comfort and I find it painful in my feet after 5km on the small wheels even with big pedals. I hope I could help :)
