I LOVE eyeshadow, indie eyeshadow mainly. I definitely understand the feeling of being overwhelmed. Whether it's with your collection, all the releases (especially around this time of year) or both. I am a very busy mom of 4 and I work full-time. A lot of days I dont have time to even put on makeup, that is when I start to feel guilty about all my eyeshadow palettes and singles. Then a new release I love comes out and the feeling disappears, lol. It is hard. You shouldn't feel guilty for growing and changing. If you are not growing and changing, then something is wrong. ❤ I love your content. Thanks!

I’ve only heard one person mention them, and I would love to hear your take. All I’ve bought from Cheekbone so far is a lipstick, and it is one of my absolute favorites!😊

i loveeee drugstore makeup even though their prices have increased drastically, but they can definitely be hit and miss. i don’t consider about face or rem drugstore at all. i adore nyx, milani, elf, and revlon. the rem beauty blushes and lip oils are on my wishlist. i bought a highlighter, bullet lipstick and slim lipstick a whiiiile back and the formula is amazing. the covergirl eyeshadow crayons are great as bases or inner corner colors. the covergirl quads are actually really great, but i’ll only buy them when they’re on sale. the milani whiskey business palette is an amazing little neutral palette. i have a couple of the flower beauty quads, and if i’m not wearing my nyx concealer, i’m wearing the one from flower beauty. thank you for this awesome drugstore video. ♥️♥️♥️

absolutely beautiful eyeshadow look!!! after being an unearthly (alien cosmetics) ride or die since they came out, they BURNED ME BADLY back in december when they had a great sale, and i purchased sorcerous smoke amongst a couple other palettes, lipsticks and lip liners… and my order never arrived. i gave up on trying to get a response from their customer service (which basically doesn’t exist), and i couldn’t fight it with my bank because my dumb ass had passed the time hoping unearthly would actually get back to me. i had ordered the dreamer collection before my last order and it arrived with no issues. i wish i could say that i’m the only person this has happened to but i learned there’s a slew of us. as much as i would love to order their newest launches, i instantly remember how much money i lost and the lure disappears quickly. i’ve ordered from many small indie companies and i’ve NEVER had the issue i had with amanda. she only cares about ANYONE with a social media presence. the RDF contour shade has been on my wishlist for a while. the snake root lip sheer is a favorite of mine. that girlcult blush has been living rent free in my head since i first laid eyes on it!!! i want it soooo badly but i don’t know where i can buy it, so if anyone knows where i can find pleaseeeee let me know. 🖤🖤🖤

i’m not a hailey lover or hater, but i actually do reallllly like rhode beauty. their pineapple face wash is an essential and the price point is awesome. i also like the peptide lip treatments as well. i have the shades piggy, toasted teddy, and sleepy girl shades on my wishlist because those shades scream out to my soul. i wasn’t able to get their LE shade when they released the small amount they had online but it sold out in less than 15 minutes. i don’t mind the packaging but there’s no way it’d never fit in any pocket, but rhode has great marketing. i wish persona would come out with shades like these, because i love their cream formula. 🥰🥰🥰 ps.. i loveeee your lipstick and i hate that i can’t buy it. i need an orange like that in my life!!! 🧡🧡🧡

Our journey is to grow and change! At this point in the way I watch UA-cam, if a content creator doesn’t have something unique to offer, I’m not really interested. Hey! Been watching your channel for a while but haven’t commented much - but I was wondering as I was listening to this if part of the change is due to the no buy? As in, sometimes I've found that my excitement about eyeshadow and makeup is linked to the thrill of shopping for newness. And then i find myself less interested in makeup overall bc there isnt this "fuel" of acquiring new things. i find it takes more intentionality to try and enjoy "old" makeup or stuff that isnt brand new.

Even knowing that the packaging is made with PCR, it still irritates me how chunky the packaging is. I've never been that interested in Rhode as a brand so these wouldn't be something I'd pick up but I do have to admit that Toasted Teddy is a very pretty shade.

Personally they last me the day. Even after going to the gym lmao. I do however use them with no makeup. If i were to use a full makeup face to mix with these i would use something else because i do think mixing it with other products it would go away. Works for me though bc i only use a full face for parties, not every day.

I wonder if the ugliness is part of the appeal? HLP did a fashion video and i remember her mentioning something like this about Gen Z and their long socks 😂 Something about it being awkward and ugly but also cute and charming and a little cheekily rebelious. The packaging literally reminds me of rodent poo, but also like the capsule inside a Kinder Egg. So weird yet compelling. Im not gonna buy it, but i do think it occupies an interesting place in the makeup landscape and i wonder if we'll see other brands follow Rhode's lead.
