I still love my Nyx and Milani products. I love the Milani Baked blushes. Also, I'm going to be repurchasing the Nyx Bare With Me concealer and the Milani Silky Matte Bronzer soon. Almost finished with them and love them. 😊 I've also repurchased the Nyx Butter Glosses a lot. I've also hit pan in a few shades each of my 2 Elf Bite Sized eyeshadow quad palettes.
I’m a drugstore enthusiast, but even my favorite drugstore brands are hit and miss. I tend to try things when they make it into those “drugstore gem”-type roundups!
i loveeee drugstore makeup even though their prices have increased drastically, but they can definitely be hit and miss. i don’t consider about face or rem drugstore at all. i adore nyx, milani, elf, and revlon. the rem beauty blushes and lip oils are on my wishlist. i bought a highlighter, bullet lipstick and slim lipstick a whiiiile back and the formula is amazing. the covergirl eyeshadow crayons are great as bases or inner corner colors. the covergirl quads are actually really great, but i’ll only buy them when they’re on sale. the milani whiskey business palette is an amazing little neutral palette. i have a couple of the flower beauty quads, and if i’m not wearing my nyx concealer, i’m wearing the one from flower beauty. thank you for this awesome drugstore video. ♥️♥️♥️
I love the REM powder highlighter, it’s so good. It’s got this very subtle barely-there glow and even though I like a high-shine moment, if I’m looking for something more muted yet noticeable I’ll whip out the REM.
I've had a surprising amount of luck at the drugstore with complexion products, mascara, and brows. But I haven't found a great drugstore eyeshadow yet. But I also haven''t tried the Flower Beauty shadows everyone raves about. The one thing that really bothers me about the drugstore is the packaging. Most of it doesn't hold up well during travel.
From drugstore I use mainly Maybelline Vinyl ink lipsticks, Nyx eye pencils, eye primer but my favorite is Nyx fat oil click stick : the texture is thicker than their fat oil, but combined with a balm. It doesn't stick to the hair, lasts for a very long time and the shades are beautiful!
LA colors day to night 12 color eyeshadow palette. I believe the color way I have is daylight. They are like two dollars at Walmart. This was given to me by a friend whose mom got it for free with a coupon. It is the plumb line by which I judge all other Bronzy, bedroom-Eyes-brown eyeshadow palettes! Crazy, I know!❤
When it comes to eyeshadow I'm only interested in single pans, which are typically offered by indie brands. But for anything else, I tend to check the drugstore first. I'll only browse high-end options if I can't find what I'm looking for at the drugstore. I don't buy much in general so usually I'm looking for replacements for products I've finished. For me, It's also easier to swatch drugstore options since there are two drugstores within walking distance where I live. If I want to swatch high-end products I have to take the train into the city and in my local Sephora testers are often missing or empty. Douglas (Sephora's main competitor in my country) does a better job at offering testers, but they offer a slightly different brand selection. Most of my lip products are drugstore, I particularly enjoy the NYX Butter Glosses and the Trend It Up lip products I own. I also have enjoyed Essence and Catrice lip products in the past, but currently, they don't offer shades that suit my taste. I don't know what drugstore shade selection looks like in other countries, but here in Germany drugstore brands occasionally offer lipstick shades I wouldn't be able to find at Sephora. Most lip products on the market right now are too warm and/or dark for me, but occasionally the drugstore offers shades that are more to my taste. Drugstore brands tend to discontinue a lot of products tho', so I've rarely been able to repurchase an item once I finished it.
Yeah I’ve noticed for myself post-pandemic I do almost no shopping in person anymore so for me it ends up being about what I see in my social feed that often gets me to buy… which is not how I used to be! I used to be at Sephora like every two days scoping stuff out.

I always forget about those Milani blushes but honestly they are killer

Yes same actually - I will take note when other people typically speak up and are like "this is good" lol
I have drugstore blushes, bronzer, lip stuff, and eye primer. Eyeshadow is all indie basically

I’ve been eying the green highlighter powder purely because I like looking at it 😂

Eyeshadow is definitely the drugstore downfall and even the good ones are not great

I will have to check out the sticks!
Rose on Mars has always been on my peripheral wishlist 😍 I wish about-face foundation would come to the UK!
I am gonna cross all fingers and toes for you that it does too cause I think you would love it

I think I’ve reached the point where I may love it more than the Glossier…

I don’t buy too much drugstore these days except for lip products. Love that elf lip oil!
I’ve found myself reaching for the elf lip oil a tonnn
Still here and still supporting ya ♥️
Love you!
Some drugstore makeup is as good or better than Sephora one.
