I’m 72 born In Dania Beach where a Hospital was close to where we live off 441 and NW 190st, then in the late 1950’s we moved to 33134, section off Flagler St,;Sw 47 Ave & 2nd Terrace called Little Gables, the house I was raised in till 1970 was very Spanish Designed and built 1926. No AC. Then in 1994 I found a nice girl Married her and moved to Homestead. No Traffic, all Farms and lots of Italians, we sold in 2019 and moved Way North to High Springs. This now is old Homestead to us…Every Farm land in Homestead and Florida City is building. Unbelievable…. Enjoy your channel….Steve

You are referring to modern condos, my family lived on a block of condos built in 1960 they were 2 story 4 unit. Yes we had to cut the grass. This was just an ordinary street among homes built in the 1930's. Our building unfortunately is the only one no longer standing.

This video was so informative and I was looking into buying a condo and all of the pros and cons make sense. After hearing this though, I'm less inclined to buy one... 😅 Would the association fee be listed on the townhouse listing if it has one ? What if the townhouse isn't part of a community complex/residence and instead just on an ordinary street ? I rent in Bristol, PA and I'm looking into buying a townhouse.

The key changing is.. Numero UNO. I can't stress that enough. I got 2 stories.. 1. Bought my first house, closed. me and my wife(then GF), spend a good month fixing it up, painting, carpet all that fun stuff.. I noticed after a couple weeks things were getting moved around. stuff was missing. Mud was brought in. Didnt think anything of it. come to find out.. the neighbor was a good BFF to the previous owner. She had a key. so when me and my wife would leave for the evening, she would come in and snoop around. Needless to say.. locks got changed and the BS stopped. 2. my next house I closed, I got the keys from the "caretaker", was the owners brother and he lived out of town. he was staying at this house until it closed. So him, me and my wife and our realtors all had a final meeting at the house did the exchange, boom done.. I had the house. I wasnt moved in yet.. that was going to be in a week after I closed. I wanted to get the house cleaned up and ready. The following evening, we went to lowes, got some cleaning supplies, got 4 sets of locks(house had 3 entry points and garage had 1). We were inside and noticed some things out of place, this caretaker left alot of garbage and crap all over the place.. so we had garbage bags and garbage bags of trash. I was a bit annoyed by the fact they didnt toss this stuff out. So i'm in the middle of changing the locks when a dog came flying into the house.. then the caretaker stepped in.. and was furious with me over tossing his stuff out. I had to explain to the man that he no longer had possession of the house.. I closed. Insurance, banks, all that fun stuff was in my name. He called the realtor and she must have told him what I did and he rummaged thru a few things and left.. weird. So when I sold that and closed on my current house I had the new locks in the car, closed.. after everybody left.. I broke out the screwdriver, swapped the locks.. erased the garage opener codes and wasn't playing this time. even added a camera. Long story.. but cant stress that first point hard enough.. VERY IMPORTANT.

I was born there in 1951 grew up and enjoyed the best days of my life. Back then we all worked together and made lots of memories and history

I have a town house style home but no HOA. I have complate freedom to do what I want with my property. 😊

i think the most important thing not to do after you buy your house, which you didn't mention is burning your house down, please note DO NOT BURN DOWN YOUR OWN HOUSE, i learnt this the hard way

Over development is destroying the natural world that can't fight for itself. What has happened in The Redland alone is a horrendous crime. What about the animals and green lives that perish with every housing project? Its not beautiful due to any man-made attractions. You people are greedy and without hearts in my opinion. Congratulations on destroying another gem.

Was much nicer and groovier in the 60’s and 70’s. Developers ruined it. Cut down too many trees, built two story sugar cube houses. Paradise lost.

I live in Cuba,been twice to Miami on vacation,to Coral Gables where my brother used to rent an efficiency,he would drive me around these magnificent sites that bring back such nice memories..l would walk up to 3 miles enjoying the scenery,especially the oak-shaded avenues tha squirrels call home,then,back for a snack at Aldi,Publix..or a "colada" on Flagler st...l can't wait to stroll these streets again. Long live America!!! Down with communism!!

The history of Coral Gables is so interesting that it even became a book. So basically the founder of Coral Gables wanted immigrants to feel welcomed here so he wanted to combined many different countries culture and put it in Miami Coral Gables.

I’m definitely not saying they look exactly the same because they don’t, but something about Coral Gables always reminded me of Beverly Hills (the flat part of course lol), but at a SIGNIFICANTLY lower price tag of course. I think the two areas actually do have a lot of similarities though when you really think about it.

I just found out about the city. I was looking at positions I could fill after I am done with my career training and Homestead is one of my options. I prefer warm weather and hope to head down that way in a few years.
